30mins into the game there seems to be no way for Real Madrid to penetrate. Benzema is seen several times falling back to help the collapsed midfield of Real Madrid. The three midfielders Casimero, Kroose and Modric are not powerful enough to fit into the pressure Liverpool is giving them. Thiago Alcantra has single handedly collected the midfield from them. No one to complete pass for Vinicius Jr.
There are several attempts made by Liverpool which cannot be said about Real Madrid.  Let's keep watching.

The first half was very exciting. both teams are really difficult to score goals because of a solid defense. but in the statistics of the match, I see Liverpool dominate the game. I saw some accurate shots from Salah and Mane didn't manage to score. In the second half, it looks like both teams will play more aggressively to score goals.

I also knew it was going to be a tough match, this is the Uefa champions league final, a one leg game and both teams won’t want to make mistakes on this one, it’s almost the end of the first half and both teams are fairly even I think it’s would remain goalless, even into the second half, but I believe Liverpool has the focus to hold Real Madrid from scoring and possible get a goal for themselves in the second half.

Definitely this is so tough,  this are two strong team that have been waiting for this day to come for a long time. Game like this you can't Really predict who will be the winner because they have same quality.  But the way the game is going am having the mind set that Liverpool may likely win the match. Real Madrid is giving Liverpool tough time.

Right, based on statistics Liverpool are very dominating they are active in attacking and defending even Madrid only got one chance to shoot
But don't forget Manchester City to do the same thing in the last match but in the end Madrid won for Liverpool fans, hopefully not too quickly satisfied  
We expect a more interesting match in the second half and Madrid made changes to the strategy.

The match is really solid and it just needs goals to make it good. Also that Real Madrid goal that was cancelled by VAR due to offside to me is wierd becuase i think the ball came from Konate that got hit with the ball,so i think Real Madrid should have leaded in this match

Maybe this made Liverpool fans annoyed, from the start they dominated the game but no goals were created. Very tight and Madrid almost held on throughout the first half. But when Madrid have the opportunity to attack it will be very close to the goal. Actually, judging by the disallowed goal, Benzema has been offside since the ball entered the penalty box.

The second half will be more tense and we don't want a penalty. Both Liverpool and Madrid in the second half will determine who will take the trophy.

the last minute of the first half was quite dramatic.
Madrid didn't have many chances during these 45 minutes but they almost scored if it wasn't offside.
VAR is a little bit useful here but it's a shame Liverpool are getting distracted after this incident.

I'm not sure if I agree with the referee here. I mean, the ball was actually kicked by a Liverpool's player's knee in the end, so it shouldn't have been offside.

In any case, this reminds you that Benzema can always strike at any time. Shame indeed it wasn't a goal.

Is there any FIFA rule that counts anyone whose body part is on the floor as offside?
I do not understand the emphasis on the Benzema knee on the floor, can someone clarify me?

Meanwhile, it is half time goaless. According to you, the disallowed goal of Benzema shows that he is a striker that can score anytime, any minute. Let's wait for the second 45mins which is going to be more tense.

Yeah, Liverpool had their moments but none of the shots found the net.

Benzema was able to find the net but his goal ruled out after a very long VAR check which many will argue, i guess the officials had to get it correctly and they have as an official has explained that since the ball was touched by a Real Madrid player which was deflected by fabinho's thigh, he did not intentionally play the ball Benzema's way, and the last intentional touch was off a madrid player, hence makes it offside.

Vini Jr has been held well in the first half, likewise Luis Diaz on the opposite side. No substitutions yet,  but surely we will see in the second half and it may just bring the goals.

We are still without goals after 45 minutes of the Champions League final. Liverpool played a little better, Courtois saved Madrid on several occasions, and there could be discussion of the situation at the end of the first half when Benzema scored, but the referee ruled that there was no goal. Now Madrid are ready to take control of the game and possibly win it after the break. They should.
Let's hope the second part of the game is a little better and more interesting than the first.

That offside against Benzema just threw away all the rules I know about football,  how the hell was that ball offside??? At this point VAR is the worst thing that happened to football.
From all whats happening cleraly these guys want Liverpool to take it but it won't happen, Real Madrid are winning this much against all odds!

It seems so far both teams are playing cautiously, they are trying not to make mistakes, no wonder no goals have been scored. Unfortunately Real Madrid
was not able to build a good attack, although Real Madrid have Karim Benzema but so far Real Madrid are still struggling to create chances for 45 minutes
in the first half. Liverpool in the first half did play a little better than Real Madrid, they were able to create some chances. Unfortunately Liverpool have not
been lucky, because they have not been able to score goals. I understand it's a final and it's a huge pressure for players in both teams. So both teams
really have to play carefully and can't play too aggressively. It seems very likely the match will end in a draw and will proceed to extra time based on
my predictions.

The first half has ended and so far Liverpool have been the dominant side obviously. They haven't given much chance to Real Madrid in general. But the last minutes were quite interesting in this half. Benzema was able to score a goal after a very interesting situation but it was cancelled by VAR decision after waiting for a long time. It wasn't easy for the VAR referees to make the right decision about this. I was also hesitant about it because the ball came from Fabinho to Benzema. But I must have forgotten about another rule at this point.    Anyway, I'm happy that Liverpool didn't concede a goal there and I hope that they can get ahead in the second half.

Liverpool seems to be a stronger team but in the end, Real will win IMHO.

We are in the same boat now friends, I also feel the same and Madrid will win here.
indeed in this case Liverpool are in control but what they are showing now.
They just pushed into the penalty box and finally returned to the middle of the field. I still feel it will be a win for Madrid now.

A very difficult match, very... Liverpool have a complete lead in this game, and only one Real Madrid moment that deserves attention. It comes with the understanding that there won't be many goals, it's probably a one goal game, nothing more. I really hope the teams don't get to extra time, much less penalties... Yes Liverpool played pretty well in the first half. Their two stars Salah and Mane performed quite well. Mane had a good chance to score in the first half but unfortunately his hard shot hit the post. I saw that Real Madrid's defense was quite busy keeping the movements of Salah and Mane because these two attackers performed quite well in the first half. maybe it looks like you said this final will not be many goals are created .

Well don't forget, when it comes to playing Real Madrid in the champions league this season, statistic doesn't matter as the last three opponents they faced destroyed them in regards to the stats but they still found a way to win the game and that's mainly due to experience and fighting spirit in the team. Looking at the first half, you could say Liverpool are the favorite yet they haven't gotten the ball to the back of the net irrespective of how many chances they have gotten.

Real Madrid held only one chance and the ball was at the back of the net but only got called off due to the offside rule which if i was setting at the VAR position, I'll give that a goal. There was an intention to clear the ball by the Liverpool defender and not a mistake as i believe that would have been the reason for the cancellation.

That contestant opportunity for Real Madrid made the night for people to discuss or fight during this first half. The amount of talks about it is incredible. I see people blaming French and UEFA for hating Real Madrid and others accusing PSG owner to bribe them lol. The players themselves don't seem to be offended as their fans!

But if Real Madrid won this season Champions League, that will be 14th won season. It has been an interesting match to watch up to this point.

10 minute left, the game is almost over. Liverpool have to do something offensively and it looks like Real only want to defend. Another chance to score is just a coinflip, so Real Madrid are now extremely defensive and win the cup. If that happens, then the game was very boring.

The second half of the game has been more enjoyable in my opinion. Finally we watched a goal in this half. Real Madrid found the goal and got 1-0 ahead. They are still maintaining this lead against Liverpool but it is really tough for them now. Liverpool have begun to increase their goal attempts a lot in these minutes. Real Madrid are just having a defensive play now and looking for counter-attacks. They have just found a very critical chance but they have wasted it. Courtois has been incredible by the way.

Liverpool can do nothing about this game , Real Madrid will win the Champions League . The fact that Real Madrid were able to score Liverpool one goal that is the end of the game, Real Madrid won't allow this score to change by Liverpool scoring a goal. It is sad that Liverpool can't do anything winner the game.

What are you expecting though? Real Madrid to keep on pressuring eventhough there are only few minutes left and they are leading with 1 goal? thats not happening. Well actually this is great, now we'll be able to watch Liverpool keep on pressuring Real Madrid and they could probably make a solid comeback out of this jut like how Real Madrid did

Honestly would have prefer if this goes through the penalty shoot out though
