To judge his qualities as a coach, you need not more time, but more or less fair competition with other competitors. Many can take the top club with the best players and give results. I would like to see him take a club smaller than PSG/Bayern/City and be able to beat one of the listed monsters (not in one game but in the championship). Manchester City is indeed very strong and many experts have given statements against Manchester City as the strongest candidate last season. but in reality City had to go home in the second leg against Real madrid because the final score was 6-5 for real madrid victory. I don't know what Ancelotti was doing in Everton in the first place. It didn't seem like the type of club for a world class coach like himself. It was way too much of a lowered standard or perhaps, this was him testing himself and eventually got the sack letter. Good thing he joined real Madrid and won the UCL in the same season. His strategy has been the pre-match arrangements and confidence in his players to deliver on the pitch and with inexperience teams, where average players seems to dominate, it becomes a very difficult job getting to live them to themselves with just a formation to work with. Manchester City might be right in taking a step like this just in a bid to increase it's chance for better performance against next season, i still can't figure out their major area of lapses that resulted to their woeful performance this season, now that all expectations is high i want to believe Erling Haaland is going to make a difference with an outstanding performance, i hope he's going to make a team together with the remaining players and build a new career record with Manchester City.
