Next week the South Africa tour of West Indies will start with a two match test series. I am actually relieved that they restricted the number of matches to two. As we saw during the recent test series between West Indies and England, the former are no longer capable of competing in longer format of the game against quality opposition. After watching West Indies' performance in the first match of this series, I had no expectations from this team. I was sure West Indies would lose all three Test matches. However, the West Indies batsmen made a great comeback in the first innings of the second match. But as usual West Indies lost the match due to poor second innings performance.

Exactly West Indies proved that they are not a stronger team against England especially in test match format. I was happy in the second test match when West Indies played well in the first inning of the match and I was thinking that they will make a good comeback but they didn't. They need much practice and experience too if they really want to beat England team.
In the third match their performance was really bad. In the first inning the whole team got out at 282 runs and in the second inning they only made 175 runs. They gave only 82 runs target to England at end. Congratulations to England team.
They have 3 matches series and England won that series with 3-0.

However, the performance of the West Indies team in the Test match against England was really bad. They did not win a single match but lost all three matches against England and lost the series and were whitewashed in the Test matches. West Indies' performance from the start was very poor, and they did not do well against England, due to which they lost every match and did not get a match. But England team played with their responsibility and experience against West Indies due to which they showed strong performance in every match and won. The result in the Test series was 3/0 but if the West Indies team played with their experience and fought hard, they might have won. But West Indies have not played very well in the Test matches of the A team and their game has not improved, in that case they must improve their game and enter the field with their experience in the next match.

If a team fails in batting and bowling performance they can never win the match. So did every player in the West Indies team. They toured England to play three Test matches against England on English soil but they consistently underperformed there. The biggest failure of the West Indies team is that their players did not recover from a bad performance or even try to improve themselves. Seeing their performance in every Test match, I felt they might be performing poorly without even trying to win. We have seen that West Indies are quite strong in other formats as compared to Test format.

Their team basically lacks patient and experienced batsmen due to which they cannot extend their individual innings. Tests match are also for patient batsmen who are tested and set themselves at the crease with time and then try to bat well which was lacking among the West Indies players.

And this is also one of the reasons why West Indies has performed really badly over the last 5-6 years in test format.

Well, no doubt the West Indies team won a single T20 match against South Africa but remember this will be a test series of matches and not T20. You need more technically sound players to win test matches and West Indies team lack it. Most recently they have lost a test series in a bad way. Even when they have chance to dominate England, they fail to take control of the match and instead they panic and lost.
I do not say that South Africa team will be as strong as England but still since it will be home ground for West Indies, it will be even more pressure on WI to perform better.

In last few years, we are having serious changes in game and West Indian downfall is on course as we watch them in last series against England, but now they are playing at home against a team which are already facing too many changes on domestic level for their survival even they are having quality, but their system is discouraging players to do things which are bringing them down.

West Indies is now needed to do revolutionary changes if they want to survive in cricket they are already having lack of consistency and quality is also badly down this series is going to be important for them because in case of lost things will be gone from bad to worse which are surely not good deal for their survival in game and in this format.

In last series against England we have some depth into their bowling, but their batting is having no technique which is important while you are playing against quality teams in any condition.

Recently we saw that England and West Indies hosted a three-match Test series between them where West Indies lost all three Test matches mainly due to their lack of performance. Just as West Indies need improvement in their batting, they also need improvement in their bowling performance which will help them play well against their opponents. Moreover, I think one of the reasons for the failure of West Indies team in such Test format is that they prefer different franchise leagues instead of their own team.

Very true but the problem is that we do not accept that West Indies is a small team as they were the pioneers who the won first two consecutive World Cups and produced some of the legends in cricket like Brian Lara, Curtly Ambrose, Desmond Haynes and recently we can't forget Chris Gayle.
We need to admit that the current West Indies players are in no way near to those legends and therefore West Indies can't perform with the same consistency. Yeah, they may win one or two matches here and there if someone plays a magnificent innings or does good bowling but there is no consistency in the team.

you are right. West Indian government didn't pay a good amount of money to the players to live happily. That's why they prefer Leagues and that is better option fit them because money is important in life and they are earning going money by playing league matches.

West Indies government should give facilities to the players and if they didn't give relief to the players, West Indies cricket is end and there will be no more improvement. Indian government pay millions of dollars to players and Indian team is at the top of the World and Indian players didn't play any other league of World.If players will get a good amount of money by playing International matches then International cricket team will be strong and West Indies players have a capability to win any World Cup if they didn't proud on them.

First of all, there is no "West Indian government". West Indies is not a country. It is an amalgam of around 20-25 independent countries and dependent territories. And that is also one of the reason why cricket in West Indies is going downslide. And there is always allegations of bias in selection, based on race, religion and nationality. Shivnarine Chanderpaul and Ravindranath Rampaul have both spoken out about the bias in selection against Hindu players. This is similar to what South African players face, as a result of race-based quotas.

Among these sqauds toss task already done and Zimbabwe sqaud had won this task. 1st inning of Zimbabwe Emerging Players sqaud is ongoing on crease and Zimbabwe sqaud has successfully played 50 overs with loss of 7 batter wickets by managing 143 scores. First three batter displayed failure performance and total three batter managed 5 scores. Both these batters Brandon Mavuta and Alistair Frost made strong and good scores batting partnership and both managed 94 scored partnership but sadly one of them was already wiped out and his name Brandon Mavuta. He collected 52 scores and other Alistair Frost collected 42 scores. Day 1 is still playing and hope Zimbabwe batter will manage more good scores in remaining time and in remaining batter wickets.

This time Zimbabwe has fielded a genuine "Emerging" team rather than stacking up the squad with regular national players. Only player whom I can recognize is Nick Welch, who has played for the national team before. The squad comprises of a few promising players, such as the Belgian born Antum Naqvi and Alistair Frost (who has played for Zimbabwe Under-19s).

BTW, another first class match is ongoing at this point, between West Indies Championship XI and South Africa. Jeremy Solozano has scored 111 for the West Indians, against an attack that consisted of Kagiso Rabada, Nandre Burger and Lungi Ngidi.

Peoples are having no idea how to talk about West Indies because usually are talking about them without having any information it's nearly one century we are watching West Indies in cricket, but mostly peoples are not well aware about fact this is not country a union of many countries which are united for the cricket.

They are having very busy schedule with many matches are coming for them, but sadly we are losing the passion of game from this region due to low quality and personal issues most chances now things will be not as we have in past because things are going on way of no return for them, but they can do good only in T20i because this can bring good result and good revenue for them instead of having all three formats which are losing their quality badly.

South Africa Emerging Players vs Zimbabwe Emerging Players

The first day of Zim EM player and SA EM player test match.  Zim EM team all team out by making only 216 runs . Seven players of Zim EM team could not enter in double figures . Alistair Frost made half century for the team and two other players made half centuries for the team but no player made century for the team and that is big reason of low score match . SA EM team is playing well and they have 51 runs on board and they lose on Wicket . Both openers are available on the crease and  they will chase that target easily and SA EM team will win this match easily because they are Looking in going form and the body language of players is excellent and they are giving their hundred percent.Zimbabwe EM team is low class team and they lack in many things and they are not learning from their mistakes.

Before starting official test games series warm up game was held between these teams South Africa and West indies XI team. Day 1 was played and in start of game, South Africa team won the toss and got a chance to take right decision by choosing bat or bowl. South Africa team choose field first. West indies team scored 245 runs in 82 overs in 1 st day by losing 6 wickets. T. chanderpaul wicket was fell down for 1 runs but other opener batsman Solozano made a brilliant century total 111 runs in 211 balls and hitted sixteen 4s and one 6s and after this wicket was also dismissal. Springer also playing good and not dimissal yet and scoring 45 runs if other batsman will help him definitely he will also score more than 100. Rabda made a good effort in bowling and he took down 3 wickets in 9 obers with 47 runs. I think west indies will score 100 to 150 runs more in next day and in their inning.

The Zimbabwe team showed very poor performance against the South African team. After losing initial wickets they made a good target as Alistair Frost, Brandon Mavuta and Ernest Masuku all scored 50+ runs. However, South Africa team far more superior then West Indies, no doubt this game could be finished tomorrow as the South African team made 51 in 13 overs without losing any wickets as well.

The South African Emerging team is trailing by the 165 runs so far. However, according to their performance, I think the South African team could chase it up under half day of tomorrow. Let’s see what happens, they played very well today but now we want the same type of performance for them tomorrow.

In 1st unofficial test Zimbabwe emerging batting first and made 216 runs in first inning three players from Zimbabwe team Alistair Frost ,Brandon Mavuta and Ernest Masuku made fifties while other players did not contributed to much runs for team if they score little bit more then Zimbabwe team could score 300 above. Zimbabwe first order players failed to play long innings their middle order took responsibility on him and played brilliantly From other end south Africa emerging bowlers showed excellent bowling and restricted them on 216 runs Tristan Luus sent four Zimbabwe batsmen to pavilion while Codi Yusuf takes three wickets. All credit goes to south Africa bowlers who created pressure on Zimbabwe team by brilliant bowling south Africa emerging are 51 without lose of any wicket and 1st day stumps.

The South African cricket team is visiting the West Indies for their first series against a country after the T20 World Cup. In this series they will play two Test matches and three T20 matches against West Indies.

The South African team is already playing a four-day warm-up match against the WICXI team. In this match WICXI team scored 397 runs by batting first. A batsman has completed a century for their team. West Indies' performance looks like they might be trying to learn from the test series failure against England and try to improve themselves even show that they are ready to play well in the series against South Africa. The first Test match between the visiting South Africa and the host West Indies will start from August 7.

Aiden Markram managed to hit 82 before he was forced to retire, but Tony de Zorzi and Tristan Stubbs disappointed this time. Temba Bavuma and David Bedingham are at the crease now, with the latter looking quite confident. BTW, does anyone know what happened to Neil Brand, who captained South Africa against New Zealand a few months back? They had a few good player in their squad back then. Apart from Brand, they had quality players such as Ruan de Swardt, Dane Piedt, Keegan Petersen and Shaun von Berg.
