Sri Lanka played very well in Test matches against Bangladesh. They won both matches showing how good they are in this cricket format. Bangladesh played little better in T20 and ODI matches but they struggled in Test matches. They did not score many runs in any of four innings they played. Sri Lanka did great job especially in the second Test where they scored over 530 runs in their first turn to bat. Kamindu Mendis a young player did really well with both batting and bowling and was named best player of the match and series. Well done to Sri Lanka for their win. Bangladesh will need to work on their weaknesses to do better in future.

You are right Sri Lanka outstanding performance in this series and whitewashed Bangladesh by 2-0. Bangladesh poor performance throughout this series didn't played well. The Player of the Series reward is Kamindu Mendis for his amazing batting performance in both test matches especially in the second test match batting good scored an important 92 runs inning. I think Bangladesh should learn from their mistakes and improve their batting performance for the next matches.

Only Sri Lanka's excellent performance could not keep them ahead of Bangladesh, while Bangladesh's poor performance also helped them to beat Bangladesh by a huge margin of runs. In both matches, Sri Lanka beat Bangladesh by huge margin of runs. Sri Lanka's performance was not what we expected but they did better than expected. This is a great achievement for them really. We could not even imagine that Bangladesh will perform such a bad performance against Sri Lanka because earlier Bangladesh has performed very well against all these teams like India, New Zealand, England and Afghanistan on the soil of Bengal and even defeated them. I can't accept it.
It has to be accepted that the Bangladeshi players, especially in Tests, are in such a bad mood that they have no patience or mentality to play Tests. They must be coached well and practice mental attitude and patience and then advised to play Tests. Especially the top order of Bangladesh has not improved so far but they have deteriorated so much that Bangladesh is losing every match due to the failure of the batsmen in the top order.

Bangladesh performed poorly in two test matches against Sri Lanka but still you must not be unhappy with Bangladesh's performance because it is better to get no wickets by bowling on good quality wickets than getting 10 wickets by bowling on bad quality wickets.

For this Test series Curator did not produce such poor quality wickets and Bangladesh did not take home advantage which is why Bangladesh performed so poorly. If these two Test matches were held in Mirpur, believe me, the Sri Lankan batsmen would not have been able to stand in front of the Bangladeshi bowlers. 

Kudos to BCB for not producing such poor quality wickets in the Test series. There is no problem with Bangladesh losing because Bangladesh can win again but the negative image created in all cricket circles by producing such poor quality wickets is much worse than losing.

Next test series is scheduled to begin by 10th July, when England will host West Indies for a 3-match series. 2016 and 2017 were memorable years in Bangladesh cricket, Bangladesh won the most matches in those two years. Since then, Bangladesh has not been able to maintain their winning streak, but Bangladesh has always played better cricket in the ODI format compared to other formats. I think one of the reasons why the Bangladesh team gave such a bad performance in the Test matches is that Tests are not practiced in that way in their team or in their country.

If we look at India we can see how much importance they give to Tests which is why they host important Test tournaments like Ranji Trophy in their country.From where every year new talented test experienced batsmen and bowlers are produced. If such Test competitive tournaments are organized in Bangladesh like them then maybe the Test format of Bangladesh can improve.

Sri Lankan International test cricket team won the series very easily because of their patience level. They focus on their goal . I am not fan of Sri Lankan International test cricket team because they always lose matches against big teams like India and Australia.

If any team wants a consistent performance in all three formats of cricket, they should dominate and start to win the test matches. It is usually seen that the teams that are strong in test cricket, they will usually do good in all three formats of cricket.

However, if a team has only a hitter and can play limited over cricket better, their performance won't be sustainable. Examples of such teams are West Indies or Pakistan, where these teams win the matches by chance and lose the majority of the match because of low-performing batsmen and bowlers who lack the test match playing expertise.
In short, teams need to focus on test cricket and they should take test matches seriously as those are building blocks of the team and it will help them in shorter formats too.

Bangladesh has always been weak in the five-day game. Bangladesh got test recognition a long time ago. From the time when Bangladesh received Test recognition till now, there has been no significant success in Test cricket in Bangladesh. In contrast to Bangladesh if we look at Afghanistan they got Test playing recognition only a few years ago and these few years back they proved themselves as a team capable of playing Tests. Bangladesh team definitely has good quality coaches and good quality players and regularly hosts various domestic leagues in Bangladesh but still Bangladesh's performance is always poor especially in test format. Those who are selectors or head coaches must take this issue seriously. Maybe the popularity of test cricket is not so much but test is one of the most important format of cricket.

Yeh I think due to lack of experience player they unable to divert results in thier favour no doubt they have plenty of experience high quality player who has achieved name through out the cricket world but as soon as he retired thier team unable to fill his place, but I think there is huge mistake of thier management committee who has not able to get talent despite having dozen of young star but according to some Bangladeshi local that there is huge corruption in BCB and despite of giving opportunity to Young talent they give opportunity to those who had some kind of reference or source. Anyway it's thier personal matter but the things is they should work on his team because in upcoming ICC competition they will face huge huge trouble to qualify for next round of the tournament

Yes ,you are right. ICC tournaments are more tougher than any series. In ICC tournament,they will be top class teams of the World. But in my opinion, Bangladeshi International ODI or T20 cricket team is not able to win against big teams like India and Australia. Bangladeshi Cricket Board will not solve the problem and Bangladeshi International cricket team will be in trouble in ICC tournaments because no player is performing good. No player is playing for his country and there is no mutual partnership between players. So , there are no chances of Bangladeshi International cricket team to qualify for  semi final in ICC tournament.

I don't have an issue with pig-4 playing against Pakistan and South Africa. These two teams are actually good in test cricket, and at the same time they have a proper 4-day domestic setup. That can't be said for teams like Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, who doesn't even have a proper 4-day domestic competition. But then, India hasn't played against Pakistan in test cricket for almost two decades now. It takes away a lot of the excitement in test cricket. Hopefully the situation will change for the better.

Without strong leader we know that it is hard for team to compete at high level. To get back to their former success Pakistan need to make big changes to how they manage team and choose players. They should focus on picking players based on merit and making sure they feel proud to represent their country. But being a Pakistani I know corruption is everywhere. So I don't think so they select the players on merit base.

At one time under the leadership of Babar Azam we saw that Pakistan team did quite well in Test ODI and T20 formats and in our all ranking Pakistan was between one and three in these three formats but now Pakistan's performance in all three formats has deteriorated considerably. He was relieved of the captaincy due to the poor performance of the Pakistan team under the leadership of Babar Azam in the last World Cup and now he is only a batsman in the Pakistan team but he does not perform the duties of the captain. 

A captain is of immense importance in managing a team properly. The players who are captaining instead of Babar Azam may not be able to perform their duties properly and also the batsmen and bowlers who are there may not be able to play with responsibility due to which the performance is like this. But the Pakistan team should be given some time and they will recover.

Biggest issue in Pakistani cricket and sports is poor management we have no professional peoples those can handle this all just because of this Pakistan is now having no hopes of quality sports in country with things are going from bad to worse political influence and personal egos are also having serious troubles merit policy is zero few months back in Asian Games we have tennis players those lost without having any point due to both were over 40+ just imagine how things are going.
Cricket is only sport which is having something to cheer but sadly due to Indian influence in ICC this is also going down as no big team is coming in Pakistan, and they are also having no power to attract teams with quality players, so things are not positive even Pakistan is good in test format but due to internal issues and lack of leadership now things are going down without having any positive hope of rise.

When the World Test Championship starts most of the teams are busy with the Test series and when the ODI World Cup starts all the teams are busy with the ODI series and before the T20 World Cup every team is definitely busy with the T20 series. Although T20 World Cup is ahead and every team is more busy with T20 series, but they will not completely forget the Test game. Of course, if they play five T20 series, they must play one Test series. The full series between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka has consisted of three T20I, three ODIs and two Test matches.

Yes , you are right. Pakistani International test cricket team is not able to fight again pig-4 or top class teams. Pakistani International test cricket team played very in bad in couple of years. No captain is taking the responsibility of test team.
I remember, Pakistani International test cricket team was an outclass at the time of Misba ul Haq. Misba ul Haq is a legend and in his captaincy Pakistani International test cricket team made many records. But now Pakistani International test cricket team is not enough strong to beat India , Australia , South Africa and England. Pakistani selectors are picking the  players on references and they are not looking for talent .

Yes you are right they have not been playing as well as they did when Misbah ul Haq was captain. Misbah led team to success and broke records. But now team is struggling against top teams like India Australia South Africa and England. One problem is that team captains are not being held accountable for their performance. Without strong leader we know that it is hard for team to compete at high level. To get back to their former success Pakistan need to make big changes to how they manage team and choose players. They should focus on picking players based on merit and making sure they feel proud to represent their country. But being a Pakistani I know corruption is everywhere. So I don't think so they select the players on merit base.

Biggest issue in Pakistani cricket and sports is poor management we have no professional peoples those can handle this all just because of this Pakistan is now having no hopes of quality sports in country with things are going from bad to worse political influence and personal egos are also having serious troubles merit policy is zero few months back in Asian Games we have tennis players those lost without having any point due to both were over 40+ just imagine how things are going.
Cricket is only sport which is having something to cheer but sadly due to Indian influence in ICC this is also going down as no big team is coming in Pakistan, and they are also having no power to attract teams with quality players, so things are not positive even Pakistan is good in test format but due to internal issues and lack of leadership now things are going down without having any positive hope of rise.

You are right I agree with you because the current state of play of the Pakistan team will be partly responsible for the political situation in the place. We all more or less know how the political situation in Pakistan is, their political situation has affected the players due to which the players are not performing so well through various professions. As the political situation in Pakistan worsens, it is not expected that the playing condition of Pakistani cricket will improve much as many criticize that even the Pakistani players are not being paid properly. If a players is not paid on time then surely the attention of that player will be less for the game so going to the Pakistan players should be well supported so that they can play impartially.
