England got to bat for only 15 overs on the fourth day. They lost four wickets in the process. They batted a bit aggressively. But was it necessary?

It is true that winning the target of 373 runs is very difficult. But if the batsmen batted carefully, there was a big chance of a draw in the match. But they lost wickets quickly. West Indies is a very weak team in Test format. Sri Lanka was in a better position. So it was unexpected that Sri Lanka would play so badly in this match. I expected at least some competition.

Both Sri Lankan batsmen and bowlers performed very badly in this match. Sri Lanka managed to score 308 runs in the first innings. But the performance of Sri Lankan bowlers was abysmal. West Indies scored a huge 626 runs and lost 9 wickets. Amir Jangoo was able to play an innings of 233 runs and Roston Chase was able to play an innings of 194 runs.

In the second innings, Sri Lankan batsmen probably forgot how to bat. They lost all their wickets after scoring 101 runs. Sri Lanka faced a humiliating defeat by a huge margin of an innings and 217 runs.

Zimbabwe are in strong position in this one off Test against Bangladesh. Hosts bowled Bangladesh out for the low score of 140 and they hit back in batting order, scoring 136/1 was really good. Now theyhave 9 wickets left to play with. Innocent Kaia is in a fine form, unbeaten on 76 off 108 balls, while Brendan Taylor is his partner on 17 not out. Bangladesh were only able to get one wicket so far, via Khaled Ahmed. Zimbabwe bowlers had better of the first innings as they kept Bangladesh on their toes. Taijul Islam kept tight control however was not helped well enough by the other end. Zimbabwe appear in command and are on the edge of going up 1-0.
