As I posted earlier, I was happy to see Pakistani players performing like this. But the question is will they perform the same way when they face bowlers such as Jayden Seales, Kemar Roach and Shamar Joseph? Even Alzarri Joseph is now hitting 150 kmph consistently. I am a bit more hopeful this time, since Babar Azam seems to be in good form. And now younger players such as Azan Awais are also giving him good support. But then, some important players are missing. The pace triad of Shaheen Shah Afridi, Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf are not part of the squad. Pace attack is likely to be lead by Khurram Shahzad and Aamir Jamal.

The games of this series are being ignored and deservedly so because there was no super position in the first game and no decision was made as to which team is powerful in this series. Kushagra Ojha has made 111 runs and is still playing, Manal Chauhan has also shown a super performing of 124 runs and has increased the aim super, IND19 players should try to increase their performing and aim. The aim set by IND19 is 363 at the moment and there are only a few wickets in which they should play wisely to improve their base. IND19 performing should be complete on this second day so that SL19 will start their batting and from there the next step of this game will be and that can also decide the wins.

Yes, Pakistan is in a dominating position right now west indies XI team play disappointed batting lost too many wickets after just scoring 268 runs and still trail by 187 runs but i don't think West Indies XI will cross 300 runs in the first inning of the test match. From the West Indies XI, Kavem Hodge played a responsible inning scored 92 runs to the team total but unfortunately missed his well deserved century by few runs short. Pakistan team utilized seven bowlers, Mohammad Ali bowl impressive among all the bowlers picking three important wickets. This match is not over yet because it includes two innings in which first the Pakistan team has played its innings and pakistan all the players have shown very good performance. the Pakistan team has batted excellent 2 players have completed their centuries including Azan Awais and Babar Azam. Supporting the rest of the players have also remained strong and this has given the team courage and motivation due to which they have remained strong till the end of their innings. After that WISXI team started chasing their target in which they have been able to complete only 268 runs out of the target because their team has been out till the end with only one wicket left due to which their score kept changing and there were enough runs left. Kavem Hodge could not complete the century and after that no player made a good score and the entire team kept getting out at intervals. The Pakistan team kept their batting as well as their bowling strong. The WISXI team is still needs 187 tuns to remove trill by score but they have only one wicket remaining.

Pakistan International test cricket team will play in the foreign country and conditions wil be tough for Pakistan team because Pak team is not a strong team to win this series. The head to head performance of Pak cricket team is best and Pakistan International cricket team won 3 matches out of 5 matches and West Indies cricket team won 2 matches and there is Same level between these two teams. Pakistan team have lose 3 matches back to back which is very bad performance but West Indies team performance is quite well because they were able to draw 2 matches.  Pak team was pretending to play the WTC final and their performance is very bad in this format. Shan Masood have to take responsibility of the team because if he will play well his team will win the match.

That will be good test as they enter the first Test. This will give a push to overall Pakistani team. Runs on the board, bowlers are in place. It is good start to the season for the series.

This series is not even a major revenue generator for West Indies. So I don't understand the need to make sure that the match lasts for 5 days. If they prepare a flat track, then the match may last 5 days, but it will be extremely boring. But this has been a norm for cash-strapped boards, especially the WICB. Whatever the ICC gives them get stolen, and then they scamper for money when the pending payments come up. Recently the ICC losers provided a $12 million loan for the WICB, because their annual allocation ($27.50 million) was mostly stolen by the administrators. The only solution to this is to give voting rights to the associates as well. Restricting voting rights just for the full members result in corruption and nepotism.

To be fair to WICB, no test series minting money for them ( except when BIG 3 touring) and that's a case of majority of test series.

Don't mind draws if it's hard fought, they are fun to watch but dull ones eh, it completely ruins the format.

The test is not any more profitable for the top 3 because things are getting less favorable due to domestic issues. Currently, India, Australia, and England are having enough business just because of this. Expecting any good entertainment from the rest of the teams is not good they are doing formality.

Few changes are essential, but ICC is not having the brave heart to bring these changes. WICB is near collapse due to their internal issues. This could be a big setback, but no one cares.

I agree this test series is important for both teams . Changing the captain shan and back to babar have give some hope but it doesn’t fix all the problems also he have given a statement and he said that “ I am feeling more confident after becoming test captain. My aim is to get match winning performances from my teammates ”. So the batters still need to score big runs specially now abdullah fazal is out with an injury and I think awais zafar is set to make his test debut for pakistan in first test today. The team need to play very carefully against spinners like warrican and chase . I think the first two days will decide the match but let’s see what happen hope pakistan should make a strong comeback.

It is good to see that Babar Azam is back as a captain and Shan Masood struggled to make any difference during his tenure but I doubt whether the underlying problem is cleared. They always had trouble with their top order scoring runs and if that is not sorted out, the problem will keep on arising irrespective of the captaincy change.

Shan Masood was not part of test team when he was made captain of red ball format and results he produced are in front of us. Babar Azam is good batsmen but as a captain his performance is disappointing too just like Shan Masood. In past when he was captain, we have seen him making team selection based on nepotism. PCB also need to get rid of useless bowlers like Haris Rauf in T20 and ODI format. If Babar Azam wants to retain his captaincy then he need to deliver good results starting from this series.

Today is the first match between pak and West Indies in which West Indies have won the toss and choose to bat first and shaheen is not playing because of workload and he was playing continuously and also his performance was very bad and also his bowling speed has become very slow. The team management wants to rest him so that he will become fully fit and fresh for the upcoming series and players like Azan awais, imamulhaq, shan masood, babar azam, salman agha, rizwan, amir Jamal, Ali usman, khurrum shehzad, M Ali and abbas are the playing eleven of pakistan for the first test.

Shaheen Afridi is not struggling with his knee. Pakistani cricket culture always has personal issues and internal issues that bring chaotic things like this. Now, the Babar Azam group is around just because of this. A few people are left out for the tour of West Indies and England for an experiment.
After assessing their performance, they will make changes again in the near future. Pakistan has a good luxury of bowlers, but they also have selection issues parchi and personal links work more than merit and skills.
Let's watch these 5 test matches, and new ones will arrive if they fail, but if they have decent results, then for some time this group is going to stay around.

I think many people are destroying the career of Babar Azam . He plays well in the ODI format, but he is not the captainthe  of ODI format; he is always being criticized to play with a low strike rate. After that, selectors picked him to play T20the  World Cup, but when he could not play well in the World Cup, he was dropped from the next ODI series. I didn't understand why they are destroying a talented player who has aim big ambitions and has good achievements, but he needs to take time to generate runs. He made many records for the country, but now he wants to make the place in his team.
His team won the PSl 2026 and now he is captain of test cricket team which is looking very funny because you are not watching the capability of any player and what conditions are required to him to score well in a particular format . Babar Azam has to make his mindset strong because test cricket is totally different from T20 and ODI and there is no best Captain of Test cricket after Misbah ul  haq.
