Litton Das was outstanding with the bat especially the century in second innings made significant contribution to the team's total score. However Bangladesh could have done better especially in the second innings although Ebadot and Mahmud's contribution can't be ingored. Afghanistan also played well and tried their best until the end. They have capable enough what they already provided but they should be more careful in batting in first innings. Now let's see how they improve themselves in the next match

Bangladesh had enough chances to win on the map but they could not take advantage of those chances. If you have watched the match, you will see that even at the last station, Bangladesh's fielders missed several run-outs and they missed catches. If they could have taken advantage of those chances, Bangladesh could have won the first Test match. However, I want to give credit to the Afghan batsmen for drawing the match because they bravely batted with only the idea of drawing the match without thinking about winning and in the end they succeeded.

This was the big mistake of Bangladesh team, in this match I was sure that Bangladesh would win because Afghanistan team was a very big target in the end. But Bangladesh team drew the match because of Bangladesh team's mistake, I can never accept it.

Afghanistan's big names in cricket have never been interested in the test format; just because of this, their performance is always at the lowest level. If they had not missed catches, missed runs, Bangladesh could have won a long time ago. You cannot call Taijul Islam a bad bowler. If you look at the statistics, you will see that Taijul Islam is one of the best bowlers of Bangladesh in Test cricket who takes a significant number of wickets in every Test. In the second innings, captain Shanto may have used the fast bowlers, but if you look at the scorecard, Hasan Mahmud and Ebadat Hossain bowled only 47 overs together, while Taijul Islam alone bowled 48 overs. However, I will give credit to the Afghan batsmen for the draw of the match.

Finally, the test game between Bangladesh and Afghanistan was over and all the predicting proved wrong about Afghanistan that they lost this game. What control was shown by Afghanistan's batters on the last day and that's why they remained safe from defeat. From day one, Bangladesh completely dominated in this game with both bowling and batting ends, especially during the second innings. Litton's batting was so impressive, and he made the historic knock of 102 runs and then Bangladesh declared the innings by setting a 446-run target.

During day four, Bangladesh remained lucky because, after declaring the innings, they got three wickets early on at just one hundred runs. So the last day was very important for Afghanistan, and they utilized it well, especially Sediqullah Atal's remains in grace for his century and for the reputation of his country and what a knock under pressure he played. It's true that Taijul's overs cost more runs than anyone else, but here, costing runs didn't have much of an impact.

On a flat pitch, bowlers don't get much advantage, so we shouldn't blame only the bowlers or the captain. It's true that Taijul Islam was bowled too many overs, I don't know what happened to Nayeem Hasan? So in this case, he should have been bowled more overs. But the spinners weren't getting that much advantage, so he wasn't used. Meanwhile, Hasan Mahmud bowled enough overs, so bowling more overs than that in a Test is not ideal for any fast bowler. After getting out for 240 runs in first innings, the Afghanistan players played brilliantly in second innings to draw the test. They played too many dot balls because their intention was to draw the game and they got success in that. Bangladesh missed chances especially in the last hour of the game as they were not able to pick last two wickets. 

Bangladesh cricket team was not doing attacking bowling because they need to bowl well in this match. Ebadot Hossain should try to take more wickets because they have to attack in the last match to win this match. One player have to take at least 5 wickets to win this match but no player took 5 wickets in this match which was a reason they lose this match. Mehidy Hasan Miraz  also have to give more effort for the team but players performance was good in the batting and they lack in the seaming ability and they could not surprise opponent team players who gave their best to draw this match. All people were ready to watch the news of winning of match of Bangladesh team but they have to learn lessons from that for the future.

And every batsman of Afghanistan played an important role in this draw and if I have to give credit then I will definitely give it to Sediqullah Atal because the time this player spent with an impeccable century in 332 balls was the reason why Afghanistan was able to draw this match. So I would have given Sediqullah Atal the man of the match as a credit. But anyway, the performance of both the teams in this match was remarkable and every player tried his best from their specific position to perform at their best.

I don't find any specific reason to prove that Afghanistan was stronger than Bangladesh because Bangladesh scored 346 runs in the first innings and Afghanistan scored 240 runs in the first innings and Bangladesh scored 372 runs in the second innings and Afghanistan batsmen scored 346 runs in the second innings, due to which Bangladesh first innings and Afghanistan second innings were tied and Bangladesh was enough strong in the remaining runs, which is a big failure of Afghanistan. The main reason for the draw in this match is their slow play and prolonging the day, which led to the draw, but still Bangladesh victory, although Afghanistan had 2 wickets in the second innings, with which they could have completed a maximum of 400 runs, apart from that, they were poor in this match. Every batsman played well according to the hard work they have done, those who were careless were their own fault.

The captain of Bangladesh has used Taijul Islam more than the fast bowlers for strategic purposes. The pitch wasn't too difficult for the batsmen even though it was the 5th day of the match. Not many injury concerns for Australia. Josh Inglis is back with the squad, but we’ll see if they actually play him. Honestly, they just need to bat better. Adjusting the cricket schedule is now going to be challenging for boards due to many leagues around the cricket world, while the IPL window is also having an impact where countries like Australia and South Africa have enough engagement; just because of this, they are having this series, while rain is going to play its role, and now it's completely under Australian control after winning the first test match. Cricket is now having 10 months.

Big countries like Australia and England will never give any soft corners during their own seasons at home; others have to adjust, meaning things are going to be faced with more problems in the coming days due to these 2 months lost due to the IPL. ICC is also well aware that they are also having nothing to talk about this due to having their own share from this.

Really poor start to the second test between the Aussies and Proteas. Sucks to see rain making a comeback and screwing over match after match as usual. Really surprised to see South Africa struggling badly against their opponents in this series.

Bet on the Proteas to make a proper comeback in this second test and it doesn't look like I will win that bet thanks to various reasons. Disappointing stuff from the current WTC champs.
