I am not sure whether anyone is following this - Ranji Trophy (domestic 4-day competition) is ongoing in India. The player who caught my attention is 20-year old Pheiroijam Jotin Singh, who just made 166 against Arunachal Pradesh. Without a doubt, he has been the best performer in Plate League of Ranji Trophy for many years now. But since he represents Manipur, there is near zero chance of him getting selected for the national squad.

Who cares about Ranji Trophy SAAAAAAR  Even the BCCI does not. They hardly look out for talent from Ranji now. They are more focused on IPL discoveries. Yeah, it was indeed a brave decision by the team selectors of Australia. It is clear that the team selectors wanted to have a perfect spin bowler by predicting how the pitch could behave. Nathan Lyon has taken two important wickets in the first innings, but Mitchell Starc has played the key role in destroying South African batting line-up. SA had made a great start today, I was thinking that they would score above 500 runs in the first innings.

South Africa has worked hard in this entire target, now they have to show toughness in bowling as well, which will make their target even stronger and its effect will be seen on Australia in the second innings. It will be tough for Australia because South Africa will efforts the same in their bowling, Australia will either lose or victory this target.
