Before the World Cup, India got the chance to have a good warm-up series where they got a chance to pick some quality cricketers. BCCI has formed the team with most of the players of the team with which India toured the West Indies but not the regular players of the Indian national team, the players who are next in line to the regular players so that BCCI can take any consistent player into the team before the World Cup. 
Ishan Kishan came up with the idea of their World Cup due to the formation of such a team. This wicket-keeper batsman may get a place in the main team of the World Cup tournament due to doing well in the West Indies series. 

We have no doubt about Sanju Samson's talent, he is one of the best batsmen, as there is enough time before the start of the World Cup, Sanju Samson might get a place in the team in the next series.

And you are forgetting the fact that Rishabh Pant will be fit again in a few months. At this point, everyone else mentioned in the above post have shown more consistency when compared to Samson. I am glad that Samson finally got a fifty, but I don't know whether he will be able to perform like this against strong teams like Australia and England. His style of batting is not very suitable against these teams. Even Venkatesh Iyer is more preferable comparable to Samson. That said, there is nothing wrong in Samson getting a few more opportunities.

Regarding his consistency.

Sky's average is 24 after playing 26 matches and Sanju's 55 after featuring in 13 matches.

Big total for sure but i feel the Indian approach between 30-40-ish overs was kinda timid.
They were quite conservative with their shots, especially the set batter like Gill (It would be suicidal against big teams).

He returned to the dressing room after collecting 85 runs off 92 balls. Hardik Pandya batted brilliantly. He was able to collect 70 runs in just 52 balls. With almost every batsman in the squad batting well, the team was able to deliver a huge target of 352. And Mukesh Kumar and Shardul Thakur bowled brilliantly. Shardul Thakur managed to take 4 wickets and Mukesh Kumar 3 wickets.

India destroyed WI in the final ODI as expected after embarassing themselves in the last match. WI could have restricted India to a smaller total if they didn't drop easy catches at the beginning of the match.

Mukesh Kumar was phenomenal throughout this series though I never heard of him before this series. Let's see if WI can compete with India in the upcoming T-20 games.

Team India set a huge target of 352. Today we don't see bad batting from Indian batsmen like last two matches. Every batsman in India batted very responsibly today. Every batsman in the squad except Raturaj Gaikwad batted well today. But no batsman can score a century today. Ishan Kishan had 77 runs, Shubman Gill had 85 runs and Hardik Pandya played an excellent innings of 70 runs off 52 balls. There is no possibility of the Indian team losing in this match. West Indies batting line-up is not very experienced right now. They will not be able to collect 352 runs against experienced Indian bowlers.

India's team showed its power show in the last ODI match. They gave a huge target to West Indies team with its excellent performance. And now they have won the series. And tomorrow they will enter in the new phase means these two teams will start its T20 series. And we can't say what will happen? West Indies looks better in T20 matches but don't say anything now.

I think their performance in the yesterday match was befitting of the reputation of the Indian team. India did not do well in the 2nd match they lost easily to West Indies. But the Indian team managed to completely turnaround from that situation. West Indies lost the match by 200 runs while India set a big target of 351 runs. They lost the ODI series as well. The top order of the West Indies team has completely collapsed. Out of 5 batsmen in the top order, only one batsman managed to score double-digit runs. It will be very difficult to beat a team like India with their poor batting. However, even if the West Indies team does not do well in ODI cricket, it will surely show something different in T20.

This series was important for India. Because they played this series without the two best players in their squad, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.
In the first two matches, we saw very poor batting from Indian batsmen. However, luckily they won one match and lost one in the first two matches. Still, the Indian management has faith in this squad. And India's performance in the third ODI has impressed everyone. Indian players showed great dominance as they set a huge target of 352. India won by 200 runs. India will also play well in Asia Cup as their players are confident now.

A significant victory! Third ODI win was a true example of teamwork, as every department contributing their part. In the third ODI, India achieved their highest total ever without any player scoring a century individually. This series win will surely give a boost for their upcoming tournaments. However, I am concerned about West Indies' performance. They are simply not up to par in terms of competitiveness and going through a tough phase, as they are winless fifth consecutive ODI series.

India's victory in the third ODI was quite likely before going into the field but we didn't think that India would win so quickly and by such a margin against the West Indies. Team India secured a big win by 200 runs with 15 overs in hand against West Indies. After losing the toss against West Indies, India came into bat where they were able to score 351 runs for 5 wickets in the allotted fifty overs, India scored 351 runs in the first innings and the target level for West Indies stood at 352 runs. Set to bat with a target of 352 runs, the West Indies lost wickets from the start and as a result, wickets fell at regular intervals, they managed to stay on the wicket for 35 overs and managed to score only 151 runs against India as India secured an easy 200-run victory. Shubman Gill was selected as Man of the Match and Ishan Kishan was selected as Man of the Series.

What a fantastic match played by India cricket team. India given target 352 Runs but west indies take only 151 runs. It is big victory for indian cricket team. India win by 200 runs. India played well in total series. Player of the series has been Ishan Kishan(India). And player of the match has been Subman Gill (India). I think after long time india Such a big win. But i think T20 match will be start from tomorrow then it will not be easy to win for india. I think that series will be highly contacted. That will not be easy in T20. We are waiting to see that contesting match.

West Indies had dropped catches, from the Indian team each and every player are prepared to give the best performance and they're very careful with their scoring. Never went for unnecessary shots, and few wickets happened due to impatience. If the score isn't good this too couldn't have happened. In all situation India team is prepared to reach a big score.

Mukesh Kumar and Shardul Thakur bowled well and the same helped India win the match by a large margin. West Indies being a team popular for T20 cricket will have better plans to win the T20 series.

No one was able to score a century for India. But the performance from the Indian players was very consistent in this match.  Almost all of them contributed to the win in the final match. Gaikwad was the only one who actually missed out. But the performance from the Indian team in both batting and bowling was really good. I was most impressed with the performance of Hardik Pandya. He did really well to actually stay in the middle till the end and making sure that they get a very good total in the board.

I actually wanted to see Shardul Thakur get five wickets in the last match. But the performance was good from him anyway. He got four wickets. I think probably the only disappointing thing for India was to actually lose the second match of this series.

Tbh, I fail to understand how Thakur ends up picking wickets when there is some sort of partnership going on. When everyone fails he comes with his golden arm and breaks a partnership.

Surprising because he's not a very skilled bowler or has any pace but according to his teammates he does have immense confidence in his limited abilities and is a proper workhorse in challenging situations.

Tamim Iqbal has made the decision to step down as Bangladesh ODI captain. Also, he won't be part in the upcoming Asia Cup 2023 due to a back injury. Since taking charge as the ODI captain in 2021, Tamim Iqbal has had a decent record. Liton Das may lead Bangladesh ODI team for the Asia Cup 2023.

I think It's a great decision, as this will allow him concentrate on his batting. There is also a possibility that he may comeback during the upcoming ODI home series vs New Zealand.

He has scored a total of 390 runs from 13 ODI matches (and his best average is against Zimbabwe). For Suryakumar Yadav, the average is impacted by the fact that he scored 0 runs in three matches against Australia. He has decent average against teams such as Sri Lanka and South Africa. Also, SKY played a majority of his ODI matches in SENA conditions (6 in West Indies).

Tamim Iqbal's injury could put the Bangladesh cricket team in a lot of trouble.  Because if he cannot play for Bangladesh as Team Captain then Bangladesh will be very weak.  And it does not seem that a player like Shakib Al Hasan can take Bangladesh in a good position as Team Vice-Captain.  Although Bangladesh has better players but no one can fully fill the void of Tamim Iqbal. Well, that's how average works in general. Most of the time Sanju goes not out because he bats in the lower middle order.

But anyway look at Sky's recent numbers, if we leave out his first 6-7 innings then it does say something about his consistency in ODI.

Well, it is good for him and also India, I believe. I had seen statistics that he is the best wicket taker for India since a certain year. I don’t remember exactly which year. But certainly he is improving and it is obviously good for India.
