After watching the performance by West Indies, they do not deserve a spot after the match against Netherlands, the number of catches they dropped and majority of them were easy ones even a school kid could catch them, they were fumbling on the field. Really surprised by the ability by Netherlands to fight till the end and then to send out Logan van Beek for the super over and then to come out and bowl the super over was an incredible decision by Netherlands.

Scotland lost against Sri Lanka mainly due to lack of adequate guidance. If they had not got the right direction like Sri Lanka, they might not have lost this match. Sri Lanka's middle order and lower order batsmen are not providing good batting support as you mentioned. Sri Lanka is a big name in cricket and there is no option to perform well to protect their reputation. If they avoid like this then what will they do in the main phase. They should identify the areas where they are doing badly and strengthen that area but in that respect I think Sri Lanka is indifferent because they are not doing anything about it. Most of the new teams will have this problem. Slowly the teams will understand and starts to play better cricket. Look at the performance from Ireland, already they're out of the World Cup and now they've made a good performance against UAE. The team should have kept its performance at the best in its previous matches to keep its hope of playing in the ODI World Cup. Sri Lanka is a strong team and it isn't easy for Scotland to win with simple guidance, it also requires more experience to be successful and win against big teams.

Nothing is confirmed, but it looks so. At this point, Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka are the two teams in Super-6 who have 4 points each. If they win just 2 of their 3 matches, then they are through. For Zimbabwe the matches are against Scotland, Sri Lanka and Oman. For Sri Lanka, the matches are against Zimbabwe, Netherlands and West Indies. West Indies need to win all of their remaining 3 matches and then hope that their net Run Rate gets a massive boost in the remaining matches. Oman looks like the weakest team in Super-6, while Scotland and Netherlands have so far proven their worth as a result of wins against test nations.

This season the weak teams are not able to strengthen their position at all. Scotland in particular lacked direction and strategy with not a single batting team staying on the field for long. However, Sri Lanka were vastly ahead in terms of intelligence and strategy and stayed on the field till 29 overs in Scotland but due to the high fall of wickets, they could not score more runs due to which they were forced to lose.
The Barrington team captain should use a slightly different strategy. Since Sri Lanka's runs were few, Scotland's victory is quite convenient, but if he had considered the wicket-keeping, Scotland could have won. Those who have performed well in previous matches but in front of Sri Lanka they batted and bowled like children. Barrington must mature those weak spots.

Damn. Am not really surprised that they lost against Netherlands(Super Over was insane), but I did not expect them to lose against Zimbabwe. They just keep going downhill as time passes across all formats.

The management and some players need to be changed completely asap across all formats in my opinion.

There is no team bonding within the West Indies team and the players prioritize franchise leagues such as IPL over international matches. The way Logan van Beek scored 30 runs from that super over was unbelievable. And that too against Jason Holder, who is considered as one of the best bowlers at depth. Let's not forget the fact that Netherlands was playing with a second string side, as 8 of their regular players were taking part in the county championship. I think West Indies should stop playing international cricket and the players should rather focus on franchise T20.

In the previous match of Srilanka vs Scotland I was thinking the same like you are thinking now. I was thinking that Scotland won the previous match and Srilanka made 245 runs which was not a big target because Scotland made 320 runs in its previous match. The type of performance that the Netherlands has shown in the last match was simply incredible. And let’s not forget that the last match of the Netherlands was against West Indies. So I think the Netherlands is going to be very confident going into the next match against Sri Lanka. But I am still skeptical about Netherlands winning against Sri Lanka. Because the bowling lineup of Sri Lanka is better compared to West Indies. Sri Lankan team is better overall also when compared to the West Indies team. And so I am really not sure if the Netherlands are going to be able to win against Sri Lanka.

Also, remember that Sri Lanka is in pretty good form right now. Of course, Sri Lanka cannot underestimate the Nederlands after such a performance against the West Indies. But I still don’t see Sri Lanka losing against the Netherlands.

LOL.. no one really cares about ICC outside South Asia. In West Indies and England, cricket is getting less popular with every passing year and in case of latter the survival is now increasingly dependent on immigrants. And even in South Asian nations fans care only about their own national team and franchise T20 leagues. Interest in matches outside the matches by national team and local leagues such as IPL/PSL is close to zero. I was tracking the viewership during the super-over phase of West Indies vs Netherlands match on Hotstar. The peak viewership was somewhere around 200,000. This is around 1% of the viewership that you will get for an India vs Pakistan match.

This guy smashed Holder and scored 30 runs in six balls.

West Indies relied on Charles and Shai hope to score 31 in six balls Unfortunately, they managed to score only eight runs and lost two wickets. Not even close to the Netherlands' score. This is where the Netherlands showed its power.
