Cameroon Green still got a lot to prove with the ball, so far in his 20-25 outing he didn't do any wonders when he got cheery. He's the batter who knows how to ball a bit.

To give you an example Green took 30 wickets in 24 matches and Thakur did the same in just 10 matches. Hard to find seam all rounder like a Stokes, they are a rare breed.

Well.. I am afraid that you are not looking at the complete picture. Australia normally go with an all-pace attack or with 3 pacers and 1 spinner. They do have some high quality pacers (Cummins, Starc, Hazlewood, Boland.etc). This means that Green doesn't get much of an opportunity to bowl. Still, if you look at his bowling average, then it is quite decent (36.03). Now coming to Shardul, he is essentially a bowler who can bat a bit. He has taken 30 wickets from 10 matches at an average of 25.96, which is quite decent for a bowler. But as far as batting is concerned, Green is much ahead of Shardul.

Well, please enlighten me about the definition of all rounder.

Who has noteworthy performance with the ball and match winning, some would say match saving performance with the bat.

@Sithara007 I agree with you given the limited time Green gets he’s done well for himself and I personally believe that he’s an valuable part of the team. Lastly Stokes developed over a period of time and I believe that Green is yet young and can develop himself further as he gets more and more experience hence wait for a while before you’ll compare him to others.

Cameroon Green is still nowhere near Ben Stokes. But he has become an integral part of the Australian team across different formats. And the best thing is that Green is quite young. He just turned 24 years. On the other hand, Ben Stokes is 8 years elder to him, and already has close to 100 test matches under his name. Along with players such as Marnus Labuschagne and Todd Murphy, Green represents the next generation of Australian cricketers. He already has 24 test matches to his name, but it needs to be seen what the future holds for him.

Cameroon Green is one of the most important players in Australian cricket. He is highly regarded in all three formats of cricket. The Australian all-rounder was the most expensive player in the last IPL. Cameroon Green's career has just started, his current performance shows that he will make a huge contribution to Australian cricket. Barring injury, Cameroon Green is considered to be one of the best players across the three formats.

We have to remember that there can be a lot of reasons for a player to perform or underperform. On a certain day, one player might perform better and on another day he might not.  But the problem is we always have to keep in mind that the player who is in form is most likely going to perform, consistently compared to a player who is not in form. If it was me, I would definitely choose the player who is out of form to play against weaker opponents so that he can get his confidence back. Nevertheless, caution must be exercised when entrusting their performance against formidable adversaries on grand stages.

I would still say that Green is a better player. How many times did Shardul won a match for India, either with the ball or with the bat? He is extremely inconsistent. If he plays 5 matches then he will perform well in one match. Green on the other hand is consistent with the bat, and quite handy with the ball. He has taken wickets at crucial times, despite the fact that he doesn't get much of an opportunity to bowl. Anyway, both of these players are young and it will be difficult to make a judgement at this point. Shardul is 31, and Green is 24. Both of them have at least 8-10 years of test cricket ahead of them.

I agree Green is the future superstar and has potential but in general, his performances are not backing this claim at least with the ball.

Glad you asked about Shardul's performance. Well he played only 9 matches ( 10 technically but he got injured on his debut and only bowled a over).

- Gabba (Against Aus): He played his 2nd test there and scored 67 runs in the first inning, remember his 100 runs partnership with the Washington Sundar? He also took 7 wickets in that match.
- Kennington Oval (Against Eng) : Scored 2 50s in both innings and took 3 wickets, he was a MOM candidate and many argued that he should've received the MOM but Rohit got the award because of his ton.
- Wanderers (Against SA) : He singlehandedly kept India in the hunt when he ran through the South African batting lineup and picket 7 wickets. We should've won that match because of him but as usual, our batter shit the bed.

He also scored 50 in the WTC finals and picked 2 wickets. All these performances came away from home, where he has virtually no experience.

I am looking at the schedule and noticed that Eden Gardens in Kolkata is hosting just one match of India in group phase. India vs South Africa match will be played there on 5th November. One of the semi-finals is also scheduled, so it is some sort of a consolation. But this ground used to be the one with largest capacity in India and it's downfall has been surprising. Now Narendra Modi Stadium at Ahmedabad has emerged as the preferred destination instead. Also Wankhede and Chinnaswamy are also being preferred by the BCCI ahead of Eden Gardens.

You are correct about the matches and the ICC's urge to make money out of the rivalry of those teams, but still we can't underestimate the craze that the fans show for the matches of those two teams. The Indian public would always love the team India to win against team Pakistan and the Pakistani public always wants team Pakistan to win against team India, and because of this thing the bets on those matches get very high in number. There have been many rumors of match fixing when those two teams play against each other, but so far none of them have been proven to be 100% accurate. I believe that all the matches between those teams will get huge attention from the crowd and that's the best opportunity for ICC to make their share of earnings.

The craze between these two teams is completely changed recently with situation is also not good due to bad politics even few are still feel exciting about these matches, but now we have serious changes as well because in Pakistan we have unstable governments, and they are economically also going down badly with in India hate crimes are also rising which are also having big impact on these matches.

But, without any doubt ACC and ICC could be the best beneficiaries of these matches, and they could be going to have big profit from this as well even it's nearly two months but many predictions and other reports are coming as well with mostly feeling Pakistan and India both could be in top four which is too early for me because recently we have changes in PCB with Inzimam back as Chief Selector, and he is one of the controversial person on this job which can bring few changes which surely going to hurt Pakistani team and their performance as well.

It is now almost confirmed that Scotland will qualify for the U-19 world cup in 2024 from Europe. With just one match remaining, they are having 5 points, followed by Guernsey at 5 and Netherlands at 3. Yesterday Netherlands suffered a shock defeat against Jersey. BTW, the American qualifiers will get ongoing from today, and the first matches will be played between Canada vs Argentina, and USA vs Bermuda. From Americas also, only one team will qualify for the U-19 world cup (2024 edition will be hosted by Sri Lanka).

India is the largest contributor to the ICC so it is only natural for the ICC to give an extra advantage to India. First a schedule was announced for the World Cup but later the date of the India Pakistan match was changed only on the pretext of security, not only the date of the India Pakistan match was changed, but with the change in the date of the India Pakistan match eight other games were also changed. 

The match between India and Pakistan has been rescheduled due to security reasons to take advantage of their home ground. Be it a day earlier or a day later, those who do well on the field will win the match. 
So I don't expect the date of the match to come a day ahead to have any effect on Pakistan's good game. If Pakistan can play with their best then definitely Pakistan can win against India.

I genuinely do not think that Shakib Al Hasan is actually a good captain. Of course, he is the best cricketer in the world. There is no doubt about that. But he is not a great leader. He ends up making crucial mistakes in important times. But the problem is Bangladesh does not have anyone else who can take up the responsibility of captaincy. I thought Liton Das could be a great choice. But he simply does not have enough experience. I know that Bangladesh is not going to be the strongest going into the World Cup as Shakib Al Hasan being their captain. But when we try to look at other options, there are none.

This is going to be the last World Cup of Shakib Al Hasan. So I hope he will be able to give Bangladesh something that they have never achieved.

The BCB president held a meeting with the board members regarding which player can be made the captain for the new ODI cricket if Tamim Iqbal withdraws from the captaincy due to injury. Initially Shakib Al Hasan was offered the captaincy only for the Asia Cup but Shakib Al Hasan directly refused and told the board president that he would accept it if given the long-term responsibility. Now Shakib Al Hasan has been given the responsibility as the captain for the three formats of Bangladesh Test ODI and T20. A captain like Shakib Al Hasan was badly needed before the World Cup and Asia Cup and finally Bangladesh has managed to do that.

BCB are also following BCCI's footstep in handing out captaincy, they are even doing better than the latter.

BCCI playing musical chairs in every bilateral series, choosing new captains and resting everyone else. BCB on the other hand playing on a different level where PM is getting involved every now n then.

Shakib might be a good option atm but why not look for a young skipper for the future?
