Bangladesh batting is on improved but still they needed some more aggressive approach because on this pitch they were short of the 30 to 35 runs which make difference, and they lost this match in reply Sri Lankan were also not good because their batsmen also lost their wickets but a big fourth wicket partnership was enough for them to have win in this game and bring themselves to the level after losing their first game by big margin.

Pathum Nissanka century inning was enough to bring his team in winning position but still their all top batsmen fail to give their best which is surely problem for them because their batting is not able to perform consistently they need some improvement which is important for the win against top teams.

We have seen some improvement in the overall performance of Bangladeshi batsmen. But as usual opener Liton's performance was poor today. But Soumyo, Shanto and Hridoy batted very well today. But today, although the top order played well, the performance of experienced middle order batsmen Mahmudullah, Mushfiq and Miraz was poor. Even then the Bangladesh team managed to deliver a big target.

Bangladesh would have been able to win today's match if the Bangladeshi bowlers had performed their duties properly. But the performance of Bangladeshi bowlers was poor. Honestly I missed Sakib in today's match. If Sakib was with the squad, maybe Bangladesh would not have lost this match.

Bangladesh have genuine problems. And I don't know if anyone saw the match or not but the two players that scored most of the runs for Sri Lanka were both dropped when they were at the early stages of their innings. One was dropped by Litton Das and the other by Miraz I am not wrong. And it seems like Litton has actually forgotten how to play. Probably he also needs to be rested like Mustafiz.

Litton Das has destroyed the hope for Bangladesh in every match of this series. Bowlers are indeed facing some difficulties for the dew, but it is difficult to win the match if the opener can't score anything in a batting friendly pitch. The partnership between Hridoy and Taskin helped to give a bit challenging target, but Nissanka and Asalanka has made it a very simple target with their big partnership. Perhaps, there won't be much impact of dew in the test matches.

Liton Das is a player in Auto Choice Bangladesh. It is the biggest stupidity of the management to include him in the team despite his poor performances. A careless dismissal in the first match nearly led the team to disaster and in the second match too, Bangladesh, who were dismissed on the very first ball, faced a severe disaster.
Even if someone is bowling instead of Liton Das, I think he will do better than Das. Soumya Sarkar had a poor performance in the first match but set himself up in the second match but Liton Das has been playing consistently poorly so it looks like he should be kept out of the box for now and followed closely.

In yesterday's match, Liton Das was out for zero runs, Mahmudullah Riyad was out for zero runs, if these two batsmen could have averaged a good performance in yesterday's match, then Bangladesh's run score could have topped 300. If Mehdi Hasan Miraj and Tanjim Hasan Shakib did not play in a defensive manner, if they had played in an attacking manner, the score of runs would have gone above 300 runs where the chances of Bangladesh's victory would have been created. However, Bangladesh performed well in yesterday's match, no doubt it is not worth saying that, but the batsmen got the opportunity to increase as the ball got slower on the pitch due to the extra dew during the night. On the 2nd ODI of Sri Lankan tour to Bangladesh. The host team got defeated by 3 wickets with 17 balls remaining. It was another close contest.
Bangladesh batting first gave a defendable target of 287 for Sri Lanka with Towhid Hridoy's not out 96 and a half century from the opener Soumya Sarkar.
Sri Lankans chasing the target, Pathum Nissanka scored a century and even though other top order batsmen couldn't hold for long, Pathum Nissanka had a good 4th wicket partnership with Charith Asalanka who individually made 91 before being out. After losing three top-order batsmen for just 43 runs, I thought Bangladesh would win today's match as well. But due to the responsible batting of Nissanka and Asalanka, the Sri Lankan team won. After losing the third wicket for 43 runs, Sri Lanka lost the fourth wicket for 228 runs. And before losing the fourth wicket for 228 runs, the match was completely in Sri Lanka's control.

Bangladesh lost this match due to their poor and erratic bowling. Tanzim Shakib and Taijul did not bowl well. These two are one of the most important bowlers of Bangladesh. Bangladesh could have won the match if Taijul could have done some controlled bowling. In the next match, Bangladesh should add someone to replace Taijul in the squad.

Charith Asalanka and Pathum Nissanka's impeccable partnership when the Sri Lankan team was on the way to victory, Bangladesh bowlers were helpless as they could not get them out. Then I remember the world's best all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan. It seemed that if Shakib Al Hasan, the world's best all-rounder, could have played in today's match, he would have broken the partnership of the two, and Shakib Al Hasan could have taken the wicket in the difficult times of Bangladesh. However, there was no shortage of efforts by Bangladeshi bowlers. But maybe the luck of Bangladesh did not cooperate. Due to which Bangladesh had to lose the match won against Sri Lanka. However, in the third one-day match, who will win the one-day series, Bangladesh or Sri Lanka? If Bangladesh wants to win, Bangladesh's opener batsmen must bat responsibly. If the openers of Bangladesh cannot bat responsibly, the series like the T20 series will be lost from Bangladesh.

To be fair to Shoriful, it wasn't his mistake. He didn't see the Wellalage and was only watching the ball. Both parties were innocent and not guilty but the young Lankan had to spit it out anyway because he could've been run out and probably injured.  

And it's 1-1 now, no relevance to this series because of the T-20 WC but at least it's alive and the setup is building up nicely for the next 3 matches. I hope it is not a win the toss and win the match scenario for the rest of the series because of dew.

So we can ignore this incident as it was not intentional. The series is now 1-1, thanks to 185 runs partnership between Pathum Nissanka and Charith Asalanka otherwise Bangladesh have got early advantage by picking 3 wickets in 7 overs. Two unlucky batsmen in yesterday game, Towhid Hridoy and Charith Asalanka both were in 90s and missed there tons.
