Sri Lankan women are in fine form. They won the T20I series by a margin of 2-1, and that too after losing the first match. However, South Africa has set a formidable target for the first ODI. Laura Wolvaardt and Tazmin Brits added 94 runs for the first wicket, and then Anneke Bosch joined Brits. Oshadi Ranasinghe and Kavisha Dilhari bowled decently, but received not much support from their team-mates. Now we need to see how the Lankan women will chase down this huge total. Required run rate is close to 5.5 now. 

Sri Lankan Women International ODI cricket team played 1st match of the series against  South African Women International ODI cricket team. But match ended with no result. South African Women International ODI cricket team played very well and set a target of 271 runs with fall of 6 wickets. Yeah the match was end due to the unexpected rain came in the middle of the game when srilankan women players came to the ground and start hitting the ball. I am very impressed by the batting of brits , she played 128 balls and make 116 runs which is not a low score. These runs include only fours , she did not hit any six in this inning hope we can see her in the next match. Also the captain wolvaardt also played a good inning by securing 49 runs. Today match will be very fascinating if there was no rain occurs because we just saw the batting of South Africa, the match will be more interested if we saw the inning of South Africa too. But I am sad because of the slow initiative of Sri Lankan team, I know judging on their first overs is not good but sometimes you can predict from their first moves.
