I still wonder why wasn't a super over done after 1st game was tied!?

Yes, there is a debate about this in social media and no one is clear about it. ICC rules clearly say that the match that is tied, the result can be concluded through Super over but some are saying that this rule was ammended by the ICC after getting the mutual understanding from both teams.

Even if this is true, what would be the reasons for the teams not to go for a Super Over if a match is drawn

In the second ODI match most people bet on India to win but most people lost bets on this match. India played well against Sri Lanka in T20 but their performance in ODI matches is not looking good. But we can see that the performance of the Sri Lankan team has improved a lot and they are fighting this brilliantly against India in every match. I think it happened because India was just not ready for the Sri Lankan bowler vandersay. I think that’s why India actually lost. Pretty sure India did not see much of him earlier. That’s why India was unable to get ready against him. But at the same time the way some of the players of India actually got out was absolutely incredible. It was looking like they were unable to pick up straight balls. Playing the wrong line got them out multiple times. By no means this was a big target for India. Shubman Gill still played poor than average, made average runs but wasted balls too while Virat Kohli tried to hit like Rohit Sharma but he was not lucky and also at the start of the game after making 14 off 19 balls, then like after doing struggle they reached to the 200 score as well but can’t chase the target towards win. I think the Indian team is not fit for the Champions Trophy 2025 because their team is losing the matches against SriLanka while the Indian team is fully fit with the A grade team.

Sri Lanka is leading the ODI series right now and there are slightest of chances that it may be win by them. Their hard work in the last matches proved as they won this match with a good and big distance. The Indian team lost this match by 32 runs, such an excellent victory by the Sri Lanka. The Indian team has a bad performance on that day in all types of play batting, bowling, and fielding.

India losing matches in Sri Lanka not mean they are not ready for the Champions Trophy as they are still having enough time they are doing some experiments and things are not as they were expected because their few top players are missing from this team, and they can bring them for big event but still we are having plenty of time for this currently we are having few other things, so this can take change in coming days.

In both the games, we are having Indian bowling good and their openers are also giving their best but sadly their middle order and lower order are not able to give their best, so things are going on wrong side but as they will be having their all first eleven players they will be on another level but here we also need to praise Sri Lanka after having worst end of twenty series they are bringing back themselves into competition, and they are still playing positive game.

It is surprising but true that Sri Lanka has played brilliantly in the two ODIs held against India and even put up a strong fight against India. In both the matches, the Indian team lost because of their slow batting. I would say that in the second match the entire India team was caught by one Sri Lankan bowler. Sri Lanka's right arm leg break bowler Jeffrey Vandersay has shown excellent bowling skills. He bowled 10 overs and picked up six valuable wickets for just 33 runs in this match which was in one word unbelievable even as it was his career best spell.

Jeffrey Vandersay sent India's best batsmen like Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gil, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Shivam Dube and KL Rahul back to the pavilion. Due to his impeccable performance, the Sri Lankan team declared him the man of the match in the second ODI match against India.

One of the reasons for India's loss in this match was poor batting performance, four batsmen in Virat Kohli, Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, Shivam Dube got out for less runs each. Because their batting performance was very poor in the second ODI match, if India team wants to win in the third ODI match, they must perform well in terms of bowling and batting. 

But the Sri Lankan team has performed well in the two ODIs due to the captain taking the right decisions, batting at the right time and controlling the bowling. So considering this aspect I can say that Indian team captain Rohit Sharma is failing to lead well.

No doubt Sri Lanka will be celebrating their last ODI win and also the way they perform in last 3 matches (one T20 and two ODI), that is really remarkable.
They would want to go in the ground for the 3rd ODI but they still have to wait for another day. I don't understand why there is so much gap between the ODIs. Between this series and the Champions Trophy, Indians are playing a handful of ODI, guess 6 ODIs before this SL's series kicked in.

So, it's alright if they do some experiments. Also, the Match situation matters and a recent change came when the team needed a left-right combination.

There was 1 day rest period between first two and in latter 2 is 2 day rest period, I don't think it's that long, rather I feel they should have kept 2 day rest between first two too.

I don't understand why a batsman like Kl Rahul was dropped at number 7. In both the ODI matches, we saw poor performances from India. And both the Indian openers performed well in both the matches. India lost because of poor middle order batting. India collected 97 runs from the opening pair in the second ODI match. Even then the Indian team failed to win the match. Batsmen like Dube, Rahul and Iyer batted very badly.

Indian management should make changes in their squad. Every player in this squad is talented, but the batsmen are not in good form. Also, I don't think it is the right decision to drop Kl Rahul to the seventh position. He is not a finisher. Rahul should be placed fourth.
