I've been thinking about distribution for these sorts of nation coins, and to be honest, don't really think checking national IDs  would work out so well.

Of the forms that could work, Hong Kong coin is going with an IP restricted faucet, and that Silicon Valley coin is going with using real mail ... which would work, but would also be rather expensive for an entire country.

Instead of these nation coins using a national ID for payout, why not set up a system based off of email? Choose a list of internet providers who are only located in a specific country, and only allow signups based on emails linked to those providers? I was just thinking of how amazon blocks non-edu emails from getting a discount on amazon prime... and thought why not use email in the same way to set up nation coin payouts?
Obviously not for edu people, but for emails which people could only have in a specific nation? Some IP checking could be thrown in, just as an extra safeguard.

It's not ideal, not exact, but it may work better than some other types of airdrops.

its nice to have a positive and constructive comment so well done. If we all pull together then we can come up with a good solution to the air drop.

Quote
coins which are not claimed within the last air drops of both citizens and companies will be used for promotion and continual development of Greececoin

Rather than do it that way, what I'd rather see (not just for Greececoin, but all of the nation oriented coins), is instead use whatever premine isn't claimed, for charities within said nation.

So say after all the airdrops you find you still have 20-30% of the premine leftover. Choose some notable charities within Greece, arrange with them ahead of time to provide free greececoins, and instructions on how to convert to bitcoin/currency, if they so wish.

Provide people here or on your site with the premine address, and show the transaction to said charity. Have the charity ideally confirm the donation too.

Besides helping people and guaranteeing the coin is used within the nation for a good cause, it's also free publicity.

The downside is, they will be getting greececoin probably at its lowest point, since those getting the airdrop may have cashed them out already. Still... it may do some good.

Yeah not so good that there is not yet a pool where you can at least register so that's done.

The coin is not dead and hasn't even started yet lol, pools won't take long so just look for updates, like people have said there's going to be thousands of miners on this coin at launch

Haha, so cause a pool isnt listed yet you think the coin is dead? Why does everyone panic over little things, he'll probably add the pools tomorrow or today.. you have plenty of time to register at a pool it takes minutes.

The website gives the information you need to know the dev will just update it as the launch goes ahead, so yeah it is serious.

Another newbie creating a 50% premine coin. I will grab my popcorn and await the inevitable pump and dump (and the mass of crying bagholders it will create). You people are destroying the reputation of cryptocoins (I can't imagine for a second that you care though).

I will watch this coin. Is this Scrypt?

Thanks for the support and yes I can confirm this is a Scrypt coin.

Oh look, another 50% premine.

I'm sorry you feel like this, but we truly believe we can make this happen.. The Greeks need help & this is one way of helping them aswell as promoting the new era of digital currencies.

Oh look another countrycoin... Roll Eyes

Greececoin was thought well before many other country-coins, but I must admit Auroracoin was the first.

I understand many people are unsure with premined coins, but we can assure you this is to help those who are in need & also grow awareness for digital coins. Please support us, we are looking to build a great community before this coin is launched in two weeks time. Thanks to those who are already showing signs of support and appreciation.. its great to see.

Best regards.

The greeks need help?

How about making a coin for starving children, children that don't make it past year 5 from all the diseases surrounding them. Children that are prone to violence and war.

Help those, instead of fucktards that can't handle their own economy, my little brother is 14 and he knows how to spend his money better than a whole fucking country.
