Moneyline for Gilas, if they are the underdog, that is good. But if not, for me I would go with the spread. I’m trying to find the betting lines for this game, but it is not yet available in my bookie. Sweet, who would say no to those odds, last time they met, Gilas only lost by 3 points, so New Zealand is not really that dominant.

I searched their previous games and the Philippines never beat New Zealand in their last 3 meetings, so maybe it is time to break that curse, and it would be more satisfying if we win on their home court.

Well, that's better than nothing.

We can speculate that nobody in the NBA hired him anymore and the Kings didn't gave an extension on his contract that's why he choses the safest option which is to go back to the PBA and be a head coach. We know that he's capable of becoming a head coach just by knowing that he had been a part of an NBA team a few years ago, and just like many said here, the knowledge that he got there will be put in a test towards a PBA team in NLEX.

I wonder though if his knowledge and experience in the NBA will help change how NLEX has been playing in the playoffs. In the last 5 years, the team always fail to clinch the Semi-Finals. It's either they fail to clinch the playoffs, or they'll get eliminate at the quarterfinals. I hope there will be a change now that they have a new head coach.

Thanks, I’m also watching the YouTube live now. I thought Brownlee is not going to play because he did not start, good thing he still played, but it is just sad that he seems not to be making more attempts. And that is one reason why Gilas is behind in this game.

Watching it now on One Sports, end of the first half and the score is 44-39 with New zealand leading by 5 points. Justine Brownlee has yet to get an attempt on this game as he got no points in the first half. Lucky for Gilas that Juan Gomez De Liano, Carl Tamayo and Kevin Quiambao stepped up into the occasion hitting those 3's at will.

Hoping that this will be a close game till the 4th quarter so that Gilas might pull an upset here.

The biggest missing link there was Brownlee, he was almost scoreless and the only shot I remember was his 3-point shot. And it was not only a problem on offense, but also on defense, as he had many turnovers.

I think if Brownlee was playing with an injury in that game, CTC should have let him sit and let the young guys play, because they were able to match New Zealand well.

With regards to Brownlee, I think it's better to say that the Tall Blacks already found a way to limit his performance because it's the same thing in the 2nd window where they limited him to just single digits in points.

We might've fell against the Tall Blacks, but let's give credits where credits are due. Juan GDL, KQ, Tamayo and Dwight Ramos. They led the team in scoring and scored 81 of the total 102 points of the whole team. Imagine if nobody stepped up on offense? This could've been a blowout game right from the start. Instead or relying on Brownlee just like what always happen, many of these young players stepped up, and they almost defeated the Tall Blacks for the 2nd time. Unfortunately, we fell short on the 2nd OT where our Gilas even lead to as high as 3, but didn't last long hence, the loss.

Having Brownlee boosts the morale of the team so we can't say that Coach Tim Cone should just let him be on the side and play. Anyway, despite the loss, many fans are happy with how our Gilas played. Although New Zealand found a way to defend Brownlee, he is not usually like that, he could at least score 20 points, especially since the game went to double overtime. But no, Brownlee did not really make a play, he just passed the ball most of the time.

Right now we can only speculate because they will probably not give any comment about the status of Brownlee yet. I think they will let the campaign finish first before they release a statement, because their next game is still against Australia.

So let us see if Brownlee will still have another bad performance.
