My regret in crypto is that I was late entering this bitcointalk forum, because I first got to know bitcoin in 2012, then in 2016 I entered this forum to find out about bitcoin and newborn altcoins, meaning I was late in entering this forum because I was negligent with investments that are not clear and coincidentally at that time the investment had to use bitcoin and made me a big loss at that time, because the website where I invested was closed suddenly.

so many of my friends said so. And even now when I tell my friends that in cryptocurrency you can earn very good money, they tell me that this is a waste of time.

My biggest regret is when I don't join in cryptocurrency in the last few years. I don't have any news or don't know anything about the cryptocurrency. I only know cryptocurrency when I browse some news about the blog, and suddenly I see about cryptocurrency. And that is my first time heard about cryptocurrency.

After that, I search for more information about the cryptocurrency, and I try to buy bitcoin and altcoin, and I am trying to play with faucet too like other people.

But I don't regret it now because I am sure and believe that I can reach my goals in the future and it's only a matter of time to see it will happen soon.

We have a regret in the past, but that doesn't mean we don't have a chance to grow in the future because we can manage our future to get a better life. So as long as we can struggle with what we believe, someday we will see that what we do now will give a big reward to us.

My greatest regret is selling my Binance coin. I did invest few weeks after the Binance ICO and got myself some thousands of coins. Also, I was very active on twitter back then therefore I was a beneficiary of their giveaway promotion as I won on several occasions which also gave me some additional coins. Each time i reply a DM on twitter i still see their congratulations message which hunts me more.

I sold all my bags between the $3-$5 pice range during the 2017 price spike. Although I made profit, looking at the price today and every other day since the last couple of months, I reget making that decision back then to sell. I reference this story almost every times as it give me more strength to continue holding my recent investment. I see that experience as a lesson in disguise guess that's why I have refused to sell my Digitex tokens irrespective of the decline or increase in it's price.

My own greatest regret is not having the knowledge of cryptocurrency years back. Then again when I got to know, I didn't have good guidance cos I delved into projects that have gone extinct now. I lost funds but with perseverance, I can say I have recovered much more.

I blindly invest in a shitcoin thinking i will earn huge profit that will surely get me rich so after waiting for almost two years i came to understand that one cant just pick coins to invest in because you like the project,if the coin have no real use case its a shitcoin and they always died painful death

I can't blame you for telling that before because bitcoin is still unknown and nobody knows the future about.
what is your greatest crypto regret?
Not buying ethereum when it's still $23 and not buying bitcoin when it's three digits.

A greatest friend comes once in a lifetime, and you missed it, sorry for that my friend, but based on my own experience, i started btc in 2014 and without proper knowledge i disposed all of it, without thinking that in the future it could cost millions of money, im just being sorry until this time, because im still working fulltime in my work.

That is indeed regretful. Nowadays, even 1 BTC is so hard to earn. How much more if it's 6 BTC, right? Well, we can't blame you. Maybe you don't know that much about bitcoin at that time. If I was in your shoes, I'd probably do the same thing due to lack of knowledge.

Anyway, my biggest regret would be not entering bitcoin when my friends encouraged me to, way back 2017. Bitcoin's price was still high that time. And I could have earned more money if I just trusted them. I was so skeptic about bitcoin back then. But past is past. All I can do now is hodl and wait for btc's price to go higher and be patient at all times.

I think this is not the time to regret the past. Now do not miss the opportunity to earn on cryptocurrency. Reading a popular financial publication, I noted for myself that over the past few years, the number of trades has increased 960%

My greatest crypto regret was back in 2016 when i was sell my Ethereum, Litecoin and even Bitcoin that i was accumulated in the "infamous HashOcean Cloudmining investment" in just some dollars at that time. Because if im not sell it and Hold till 2017 it was worth Thousands of US$ dollars that can give me more financial capability till these day. It happens because im one of the weak hands in this industry.

The biggest regret of encryption, I can say that airdrop, ENU airdrop, this is an opportunity to miss wealth. Other encryption stuff didn't make me regret it. We should be glad to be exposed to encryption technology so early.

A lot of story which is the same.
Given that bitcoin had a bad reputation at that time.
I saw youtube videos being uploaded telling bitcoin is a scam.
Maybe thag is why you are also pessimistic about it.

My regret is when I sold some at $300 per bitcoin. I have like 3 of it before and didnt knew it will come to this.

Well as they say regrets will always be at the end.

My greatest regret is not investing back when it was still so low and also investing while it was super high.
I didn't invest back then because I didn't trust it much but when crypto was going crazy back in late 2017 I invested in some alt-coin and it was the worst it continuesly fall down.

Personally, I regret that I did not believe in the future prospects of cryptocurrency. And when they made a promising offer to invest in cryptocurrency. I refused such a profitable offer and now I often recall this lost shasn. So I wish everyone good luck in new business offers.

I wouldn't say is a regret to me to be very late with cryptocurrency because I have been searching for how to start earning money without necessarily going to the office and being insulted by the employer. So, I was late not because I didn't know something like this was hidding somewhere.

Yet, as a newbie though, I have lost some coins by providing wrong wallets some times. Grin

My greatest crypto regret was when a friend wanted to give me 6btc in 2010 and i told him this 'you are just wasting your time with all this useless internet things' and even the guy wasnt sure if what is holding will worth it in future so the guy replied 'it costs me nothing' ,after few months i stop seeing the guy again even till date,i thinks he is not in my city anymore, what is your greatest crypto regret?
Mine was not Bitcoin but Nano I was part of Nano captcha workers, in fact, I even hire people from our places to do captcha for me, I just gave them an address and they fill it in the captcha site.

I acquired more than 10000 Mrai now known as Nano I sold all of it with 40% profit from what I paid to all my workers. I never imagine that it will reached $32 in it's all time high, I would have been millionaire here in our country, if I just keeep some of it, well guess back then I was greedy to sell all coisn that I could hold.

My greatest regret in crypto was not investing in them soon enough. The margin for profits in Crypto is unparalleled to any other. If only the world had the knowledge about what it was and how it worked, many of us would not have been on this discussion.
When i did finally gain the knowledge of the crypto market, it had sprung to such heights where you not hold a full share because of its cost. My primary option for investment has always been Bitcoin because i see its universal potential and reach.
With the rise that Bitcoin had back in 2017, it still seems to be the most viable option for investment in the crypto market.

My regret in the past was not to buy a lot of bitcoin at the price of $ 200- $ 300, I underestimated bitcoin until finally bitcoin continued to rise and touched the price of $ 19,000. very surprising and I only have a little bitcoin which I sell at $ 1000
If you able to learn about Bitcoin from that time it's really regretful not knowing that the market will boomed to that high, but since you already missed that opportunities why not try to make something worthy, you have to assess and not to allow yourself being trapped just in case you still wanted to cope up and take your chance you can still grab it while it's not bouncing to high.

Most of people saying if they are regretting when they didn't sell their coin while bitcoin and other altcoin reached their peak. You never know when that will happen, you just were too greedy, if not, all of you will sell your coins immediatelly when it reached 80-90% from the peak.

And not investing while bitcoin still cheap, you just realized it cheap once the price increased so high just like atm. That's mean you didn't believe with bitcoin can survive just like now

My greatest crypto regret is selling my 3 BTC very cheap at 360$ wayback not knowing that BTC price will skyrocket later on.  Also I bought ADA at very cheap rate way back on Bittrex, and then sold at dip. After I sold my ADA holdings, the price went up 10x.  This shows that patience is a virtue especially in crypto. Do not rush to sell at dip if you truly believe in the project.

My greatest crypto regret was not selling my 25ETH at all time high above 1000$ during the last bull run.  It's good to hold coins you believe in for long term, I'm not disputing that but always know when to sell. You can always buy back when need be. I think greed played with my emotions, that's why I didn't sell.

It is obvious he was not really your friend. Real friends will leave a message to his friend wherever he goes. Maybe that person who wants to give you bitcoin saw something good in you that attracted him to trust you. Possible you are a good stewart.?

Lol. Kind of sounds like a made up story, no offense. This friend randomly giving you "6 BTC" in 2010 and now you can't find him anymore? You don't even have him added on social media (it was 2010 and facebook was booming! And he must have been some very good friend of yours to give you 6 BTC, so you guys should have been connected!). Anyways, it is not hard to find anyone you know online.
I don't regret anything here. Everything I did always had a reason.

The only regrets I have had in crypto is buying into low cap projects back then in 2017. All of those projects are no where today and I have to live with the loss. We'll, the beauty in that is learning from such experience and moving on.

My biggest regret in crypto is that I found out too late about crypto, I joined crypto about a year ago when the price of crypto began to decline after a significant increase in crypto in 2017, at first I was doubtful about the future of crypto but after seeing my brother managed to make a big profit in crypto, I began to be interested in joining crypto, I really hope crypto can return to glory

Sorry about that. People make a lot of mistakes when they are ignorant about the investment they are into but your orevious mistakes are long gone and not accumulating enough Bitcoin, Ethereum etc before the upcoming halving we be another regret for you.
I will advise you to take a step now before it too late.

Awwwn, what a regret, sorry about that.
My own biggest regret was buying a coin back then, when the coin got listed, I refused trading some. Till the project exited. Am still holding it and seriously regretting my actions.

My greatest regret is knowing bitcoin way back 2010 but not giving any attention to it, I should be a millionaire now. And knowing BNB token on its first release and its price is below 5 US cents, If I bought even 200 dollars worth of it before, I am now a millionaire now here in my country.

We all have the biggest crypto regret, but we also have a chance to get another crypto happiness, especially if, in this year and the next year, the market can recover the price. I have the biggest crypto regret too because, in the past, I don't know anything about cryptocurrency and although I always connect to the internet every day, I don't get any information about bitcoin because, in 2010, there is not much information about cryptocurrency. If I can search for cryptocurrency, I am sure that now I can have a lot of bitcoin and altcoin and even I can be a rich person in my city.

Yes,now for 6 BTC it would be possible to fulfill some dream. My story is not much different from the others.I could sell my coins with a huge profit, but I decided that it would be more profitable to hold them and in the future I would sell them even more expensive.But.....my plan didn't work and now I'm at a loss.

maybe you're already rich if you take that chance. Well, it teaches us that don't underestimate something we don't know yet. Well, I also often sell the bitcoins that I have in the year where the bitcoin price is under $ 1000. Well, however, we don't know what will happen in the future.

Well, it can be said that there are so many regrets in the past from bitcoin, it's just that we can only make it a lesson. well, experience in HYIP, and other scammers. we can only learn from it.

One of my greatest regrets is to have listened to some stupid analysis just before the hard-fork of bitcoin giving birth to bitcoin cash that while holding bitcoin, that our bitcoin could just evaporate from our wallet if there happen to be a code error. I foolishly didn't buy and boom bitcoin started pumping, in other to keep up with the wrong advise, I invested heavily on some online investment and ICO and they all died with my money.

My greatest crypto regret is always has been to sell too early or sell too late. And I don't know what's worse - diminished profits from selling too late or the "could have been filthy rich because I hodl long enough" profits.

My greatest regret at crypto was when my cousin told me about bitcoin as far as I remembered it was 2011 he told me that the only thing that I need to do is to buy and hold it and I told him that he need to stop his crazy activity. Then I was surprised when he got his dreams car and dream house last 2017 because of bitcoin. If I believed him on that time we are both successful now.

My cryptocurrency regret was same with your story, because way back in 2010, i haven't bought bitcoin in its lowest value, without knowing it could be precious and valuable in the future. I think this is very common regrets we have all in this forum.

I was a little disappointed because I didn't use all the money I had to buy bitcoin and instead bought altcoin that wasn't clear.
Now the price of the coins that I have bought has gone down and I just have to wait until the price rises again until an unspecified time.
You don't study market movements before you use your money to buy assets. I decided to sell my altcoin when the decline in bitcoin occurred. and start bitcoin trading, now I can prove that bitcoin trading is more fun than altcoin which doesn't move much. learn from your experience, and improve your analytical skills.

I understand you, I had about the same, long time ago, around in 2011-2012 years, I wanted to buy a huge amount of bitcoins and for some reason changed my mind, most likely I thought that bitcoin could not develop further and that cryptocurrency and bitcoin will disapper very soon, and now of course I understand that I did very big mistake, but it's okay, I still bought bitcoins for a low price after that and then sold in many times more expensive, so it happens to everyone.

Each of us has something to regret in our lives. I prefer not to think about what I missed in this life and what I regret. I prefer to think about what needs to be done to succeed now and develop it in the future.
If you missed the opportunity to get or buy Bitcoin in those days when it was very cheap, then you should not regret it now, move on.

My regret will being able to sell some tokens for trusting so much on the project. Their value went down and some are dead. Too much money gone with the wind.

my biggest regret is for not buying a lot of  btc back 2015 when its just less than $300.
Can we just turn back time?
Its not possible to turn the hand of the clock back but there are other opportunities that we can actually embrace now to forget the past. If action is not taken now, we might still stand the chances of regrets tomorrow, opportunities are everywhere in this industry and we have to take the needed step to seize the day for our benefit. There are some Altcoins that will still spring up surprise in Year's to come.

My  greatest crypto regret was not selling park coin at its peak. A friend told me to invest in park coin . I did by buying 100$ worth. Park coin did x12 I didn't sell. I needed the money much then.

A lot of us regret the days when it hit the biggest last 2017. I did commit this mistake too, I couldn't imagine this is how volatile the market is when it comes to seeing how much it grew yet the dumps are just making coin less valuable. In an instant, they are gone and I can barely process what is going on. Its like we all stop investing and its just going to make everyone greedy in the future and that bullrun may just be the only. It could not happen again.

Well, around 2 years back, I have seen some good opportunities to earn with a masternode project which had over 3000% ROI. I trapped in it as expected from any newbie. I spend $3500 worth BTC to purchase a full MN and set it all up for the first time, learning how to do it. Guess what I see the next morning? The MN was worth $7. I felt like the dead. That's my worst regret.

My was investing into the ICO projects in 2018, I didn't understand the bubble has busted and feel the music will keep playing, it was a bad decision later not selling the tokens also later thinking they will comeback to their ICO price but many never and most have lost more than 90% of their ICO price

I have some of the biggest regrets since I know cryptocurrency...

1. regret not having studied and learning more cryptocurrency since first getting to know cryptocurrency (i know crypto since mid-2016 but start to earning bitcoin in 2017)
2. regret not buying a lot of bitcoin when a hardfork bitcoin that produces BCH
3. regret not selling all the bitcoins that I had when bitcoin reached the price of $ 20K but I only sold some of the bitcoins that I had (in that moment, i hold some bitcoin cause i hope the bitcoin will touch price $ 25K)
4. regret cause for point number 3 is repeated but this time for BCH when the price of BCH was around $ 4000

If I think back, there are still many regrets that I've felt so far. but I think some of those regrets force me to move forward so that they don't happen again to me in the future

Regret that is felt by almost everyone involved in cryptocurrency: after selling coins or tokens, then the price goes up several times. But we must not drag on with that regret. There are still many good opportunities even though we feel late joining cryptocurrency. God is predestined to the best. We just need to try harder.

I regret i was late entering in crypto but it does not make a hindrance that stops me from making profits in here. I know it takes more hard works and more patience to be successful in crypto so i always make sure that i do not rush things to happen and i keep motivating myself not to be greedy because it will really affect how i trade.

My greatest crypto regrets to not mine bitcoin when it needs a low spec PC to get thousand worth of bitcoin in 2010. I think that will be useless and then i don't care anymore about that but after a few years passed and the price of bitcoin has started to grow and i just realized if i made something wrong by don't care so much about the tech behind bitcoin.
Another my big regret when i have lost a wallet with a few hundred thousands of nano.

6 BTC back in 2010 was worth less than $0.01. There was only one cryptocurrency exchange back then (New Liberty Standard) and it was possible to purchase Bitcoins with credit card or paypal (back then PayPal didn't realized that Bitcoin will grow to become one of its major competitors  Grin). During January 2010, the exchange rate at NLS was $1 = BTC1,392.33.

My biggest regret is not about refusing a payment in BTC, but about investing the BTC I already had in scam projects. I lost BTC30 in 2013, after investing in ponzi schemes. Two years back (in 2011) one Ukrainian guy had offered me to pay $100 using Bitcoins, but I had refused then. The exchange rate at that time was around $4 per coin, and I would have received at least BTC25.

My greatest regret was supposed to be my first to join the crypto. If I had to get to know Crypto so I now already have a lot of Bitcoin.

Time, of course, can no longer spin. I entered the crypto since the end of 2017 and I still enjoy the advantages of trading.

Learn from experience that today we are better off to collect crypto coins. I am sure if the year 2020-2021 Crypto will return to success like 2017.

6 BTC is a very large amount and will be a regret that does not stop, I am also very sorry why not since 2013 ventured to start mining by buying a small device the size of a flash. Suppose I ventured and did it, maybe it already has a lot of benefits, but always the consideration here and there makes me not dare to take the risk of investing money to mine.

Mine was in 2013 when I got to know bitcoin through ponzi when it was around $13 or so which I had money to buy even more than 1000btc then and just store it , but ignorance was why I didn't nmbirder to leran about it and thought it a joke , not until I saw a frd in 2016 telling me about and was even around $200+ then but still failed to accept it and the little I used then was used for ponzi again , regard the mmm which I lost every satoshi to and that was when I started reading about it and discovered how important it is to have just 1 , but I never blamed myself cis am still very young in the industry and believe it has a lot to offer for me in future.

my biggest regret is being late to invest.
i know crypto from 2015, i shouldn't have assumed from the beginning that bitcoin is just bullshit and gone.

until now i still regret that, i should have joined sooner to get a big profit but i think that regret is meaningless. they are only part of the experience, it makes me learn not to underestimate trivial matters and also makes me learn to find out more before judging something.

I have so many regrets in my crypto life, this one i share is the most. I didn't hodl my first altcoin that I receive participating bounty campaigns. I wish I could bring the time back that makes me rich, that time I hodl thousands of it way back 2017 and now I see that its price is up to $10 each. this makes me regret my entire life. lesson learned. gaining more knowledge to not regret every decision we made in our life.

Maybe will happen to a lot of people if we discuss about bitcoin price. Usually people who know bitcoin in past that still in cheap price and do nothing with it, or maybe people who sell bitcoin in very cheap price maybe regret about this. Include me, i think this is commonly to happen because when we lose in trading is not really make regret if compared to see bitcoin in cheap price but can't do anything about it.

I'm regret when have a plan to saving at least 50% BTC i got from trading, bounties, campaign or any other way to collect BTC, but plan just a plan I sold all my BTC on 2017 at $6000 USD I just think to have mining equipment bought VGA Card at highest price on 2018 but the fact mining isn't profitable at that day even to pay electricities cost and I decided to sell all my VGA Card of course I'm losing much. Nothing to do with past I just need to recovery and start my new day on crypto, start to collect again BTC with do trading etc.

I have big regrets but that came after the bull run, I miss to sell everything I hold, though I made some profits in the bull run, but I would make a lot of money if I sold everything during the bull run. I wish we can see the future, maybe let's just accept our mistakes and just move on, for sure, the market will not stop growing and I believe sooner there will be a new bull run and I will assure that I'll make the right decision when time comes.

Everyone has something to regret but the most common thing I find in crypto community is that noobs and newbies refusing to sell their assets during the 2017 bullrun being too greedy. Now I don't know how long theyre going to wait.

This happens to many people, including me. When the price of altcoin goes up, many people don't want to sell and hope that there will still be a price increase, what happens is the price falls more than 90%. Greed is a factor that I always regret

what is your greatest crypto regret?
My regret is not buying bitcoin when it was introduce to me back then.

At that time the price is really cheap that I can afford but I chose to not pay attention.

Now btc is expensive.

There are many minor ones but the biggest one would probably be being too naive when dealing with a certain OTC individual who scammed me of a hefty amount of ETH. But you learn from these things and further down the road you are even more careful in those kind of situations.

Well, I just give a little twist with it but I guess what I'll regret is not knowing this my whole life or knows this by the next decade or so. Though the price has risen tremendously I guess it isn't yet over for us to start.

My biggest mistake in the crypto market is that I did not sell Ethereum at a price of $ 1,200 when I could do it. Instead, I invested Ethereum in the tokens of various projects and burned out. Now I really regret that act and imagine how much I could buy with that money.
After that, I stopped believing in new projects. I invest only in Bitcoin and BNB.

Ha! You came in 2016 and you are sorry. Yes, only in the summer-autumn of 2017 did you have the opportunity to become a millionaire for several thousand $.
I learned about Bitcon in 2013 and watched it from time to time until 2017. Only in the fall of 2017 did I pay close attention to this. Under the influence of FOMO Grin. When BTC and most altcoins have already made the bulk of price movements. And now I'm regret for buying several assets close to highs.

My greatest regret was not selling some bounty tokens soon enough and the project turned out to be a scam project. The tokens are in my wallet now with no use. I had an opportunity and I let it go..that's my greatest regret.

I'm curious on how much your friend has made during his entire stay to the bitcoin community as of today. He's right that it doesn't really cost a lot before when the difficulty of mining was really low and some faucets are giving an entire amount of whole bitcoin.

Almost the same regret that I have and it's just part of it because I've got a lot of regrets that I wasn't able to do before. But I'm trying all my best to avoid the same mistakes that I've done just like the experience you had.

That be sorry, things may happens like that in this volatile market. You'll be consider your self unlucky but think that it is not the end of your crypto life, you will find another project sooner that may repay of your hard works and sacrifices. Not only you have got this, a lot out there having the same regrets but they still here cause they believe it so, time will come somehow.

I don`t know, I don`t have many regrets. We all could do more, earn more, buy more and wait longer than we really did. But what is the purpose of that? What we could do better we can do now? Is it late, I don`t think so, this is just started, there is a lot more free space for cryptocurrencies to evolve. Real global adoption didn`t start yet, whatever we regret we have a chance to do it better, so instead regretting, better focus on this moment and how to do better this time.

During the time bitcoin was released, I had participated in lots of this hyip scheme that I didn’t get my money back, it was also the period that I tried leverage trading that failed for me, so I gave up on all these online money doubling schemes including the Forex trading that I picked interest in then.

At that point, a friend also advised me about it which I ignored, but my regret is that the money I would have used to invest in it then was so small that it would have actually cost me nothing because as at that time, my salary was about $600, and imagine what I would have used $100 to buy by then. Till date, I am still filled with lots of regrets not paying attention to it, and maybe by now, I would have become a billionaire and not be running after all these campaigns that are mocking us hunters with little token.

Maybe he is enjoying 6 BTC on Bahamas.  Cheesy
I most regret that I did not buy cryptocurrencies when I heard about them for the first time in 2010-2011, but I think that all of us have same experience.  Smiley

My greatest crypto regret is pretty much. There are several coins I should have sold for profit but kept holding. One by one, their prive value started dipping. Many of them closed business operations permanently and I am left a bagholder of the world's shittiest coins. Don't be like me. Sell when you feel like.

I only regret that I do not have the patience to keep the coins to the end.  I take them off very quickly.  And I often suffer from this.  In this way I try to reinsure myself, but it turns out just the opposite.

My regret is not buying bitcoin when it was introduce to me back then.

At that time the price is really cheap that I can afford but I chose to not pay attention.

Now btc is expensive.

LOL.... this is going to be the same story with at least 80% of the users here. I first heard about Bitcoin in 2011, and decided to invest in it only after one and half years. But that was not the only regret. There can be hundreds of thousands of possibilities where I should have done better. But there is no point in talking about it, as we can't go back in time and reverse our actions.

One of my biggest mistakes was ignoring the Ethereum ICO. If you check my posts during that time, you can see that I was very vocal in accusing Vitalik and his project as a scam. But I was wrong and we all know what happened to Ethereum after the ICO. The prices for Ether increased by 200x between 2015(when the coin was listed) and 2017.

Maybe your friend already sold the btc before the price gone moon. There are several peoples that i know, have same regret with you.
Most of the earlier adopters of bitcoin were selling their btc and have no idea that the bitcoin price would skyrocketing few years later.

It's been said that in life you should have no regrets. However,  it's hard not to think about how would it be to have kept a few Bitcoins from 2010 when it was almost for free.

Life goes on, mate. Keep your eyes open and I'm sure you can find other gems like Eth, Bnb etc.

many people are sorry for starting too late even though they already knew about bitcoin and still didn't believe bitcoin at the time, I also did it but I never regretted it.
I am very sorry when I was in a hurry to sell coins that I had in the past I did not care about the price in the future, even if I keep my coins a little longer I will get a lot of profit, panic sell, yes, that is my regret when I started trading on crypto.

Chances that thing  might happened to your friend is very high, once Bitcoin got some value surely your friend already sold it as a natural act by those non believers that Bitcoin will grow up to this level, if he can afford just to have it away then it's very much easier for him to sell it all once there's already a value that he can get, the bull changed everything and regrets shouldn't hold you to continue moving forward.

OP's story was really unfortunate and thinking that the gut who offered him is now having a swim to a lot of money. Well, as for me it was back 2013 when they offered me an investment for crypto and that time mining is not that profitable so I pass then suddenly, when I decided to join in cryptoworld last 2017 it was late but I still believe it is not that late to join the ride. Bowever nowadays it is really hard to decide where to invest.

When they (friends) are busy with crypto activities, I assume they have wasted their daily time. After I learned with one of them, it turns out I am a person who does not know how to use time.

I got some BTC for free in the early days, but I didn't even take it as something important. It's not a regret though, just a lesson I learnt from. I would never look down on things that seem difficult to understand at first.

My regrets...

1. I mined Bitcoin back in 2011. I made the decision to stop mining because the value I was mining was getting close to the cost of electricity. At the time, my mid level graphics card mined about 1 BTC every 7 days, and in 2011 the value of 1 BTC was...meh. I regret that I didn't continue mining for longer.

2. I forgot about my wallet, then, a couple of years later, as the price started rising, I sold off the entire proceeds at mtgox. I ended up with about $500 in my account. If I'd waited a few more years, I could have netted over $200,000. I couldn't have predicted the massive increase in value, but it was still stupid to sell 100% of my funds.

So yeah, as a reasonably early adopter, when it was still possible to mine Bitcoin on commodity equipment in a house... I did some dumb things.

.....

I remember reading about a guy who went all in and bought $30k worth of GFX cards and mainboards, on credit. This was probably around 2011-2012, before ASICs were a thing. People said he was crazy.

I used to have similar attitude. I couldn't hold my tokens for a longer time. I tried to change, then I refused to sell my tokens during a bull run. The reverse also hurts, but we move on.

The first time, I got a BTC while playing a game (fauncet), at that time I thought it was just bonus score that I got,  and I thought if the bonus score were not worth at all, only after I read a some articles on a some site at that time does apparently BTC have price value.

You don't have to be sorry with that, no one knows what the future will be, you should be thankful your are finally here as although the price is not anymore at the range you mentioned, there' still more room to grow in the future.

If you are bullish about the future, just search some articles that says about the future prediction of experts, some even predict the price will hit $1 million per BTC and I think that's realistic given BTC is limited in supply and the demand will eventually increase.

1. In 2017 I have a coin name Grimcoin, I got 50k coins from the airdrop. When listed on 1st exchange named Coinsmarkets exchange, price pumped till 2k sat percoin. My mistake is I don't sell my coins and prefer hodling then hoping price will comeback into more than 2k sat again. But, I was wrong the price of Grimcoin keep dropping until 100 sat. If I can sell it while pumping I can get 1BTC  Cry

2. In 2018 I have a coin named Bitcoin White, I have 5k coins from the airdrop. Same as Grimcoin experience I don't sell it when pumping after listed on 1st exchange. If I can sell it I can get 0.5BTC (1 btw/@10K sat)

Yeah? What were those coins though? share them here and share the dates you sold them. I am almost 100% sure that if you were holding alts (you said coins so for sure they were alts), then you would see that you made an OK decision today. Most alts are DOWN 90% from their high so if you released them any time last year, you'd be happy today.

so we should continue to look forward now and think that regret is a valuable lesson. so we can try our best to get more profit in the future.

many regrets that I experienced in this crypto market such as being late to join the forum because I started my career in this field around September 2018, maybe if I got to know this industry in 2017 I could have many valuable tokens. on the other hand many say that 2017 is a good year for prize hunters because most of the projects were successful at the time. and when new forum rules such as the merit system are enforced, it also greatly influences stake prizes in bounty campaigns.

Hindsight is 20/20.
Mine was when I wanted to put an extra $200 I had into bitcoin when it was at $900. Little did I know that a few months later, it would explode.
The money ended up going to a place it needed to be, so I chalk it up to it just not being my time instead of bad luck.

I've have several regrets in cryptocurrency and Infact the regrets happens daily, either when I sell before a price pump or hold and see my portfolio drop.
My greatest regret was not starting cryptocurrency earlier than I did, though I started as soon as I was introduced and had to make so many mistakes along the line due to my ignorance and the person who introduced me was also a novice and didn't know much.
I regret not buying bitcoin when it was less than 500$ and rather wasted my funds on hyip and ponzi scheme.
I regret not buying eth when it was 12$, though I didn't know how to buy it at that time and was busy with my academics.

But in all these regrets, am glad of my experience so far and believe that my mistakes were necessary to bring me to where I am now.

6 btc is a lot, if at this time, you might not have luck. therefore don't be too hateful if we haven't done previous research. before 2017, maybe a lot of people like you, even I also like that, but unfortunately I know bitcoin from 2017, and from that moment on everybody doesn't look down on bitcoin. suppose I know before 2017, maybe now I can retire

Exactly all of it are the lesson learned and to be honest it isn't yet too late to start and do the right path now. Thanks to those experiences right now we are fully aware and enlightened to the world of crypto.

My biggest mistake was when I sold my Counting House tokens from bounty campaign for 0.3 BTC on EtherDelta and few weeks later the price pumped almost 15times! If I have 4BTC, I wouldnt have to participate in bounty campaigns anymore.  Cheesy

You said he was your friend but on the second to last part of your sentence you call him a guy , and you don't see him anymore?  sorry but I don't think that im going to believe your story because I think it's not legit rather it was only a made up  but I agree that we all experience a regret before because we didn't knew that Bitcoin will become much valuable in the future  but that's life  . We should move on ,don't let the past hunt you because it's not beneficial

My regret is to join the Cryptocurrency late. If from the past already know the Cryptocurrency of course already has a lot of Bitcoin. In the year 2017, of course, will get many advantages.

So when I was already joining Cryptocurrency, I tried to collect altcoins. I was lucky because in 2017 it also gained profit, though not much. But it can treat my regrets of late joining the Cryptocurrency.

You would have also regretted not holding the 6  BTC if you had collected and impatiently sold it. It takes a lot of discipline to invest and hold Bitcoin/Cryptocurrency long-term.
Regretting things is a waste of considering  there are lots of other investments that could make you rich long-term. I bet if you are shown the investments they wouldn't make sense to you

I started earning online through PTC (paid to clicks) and they offered withdrawals with btc, I held $ 200 but I regret not buying btc for $150. Now I try to forget all those regrets and still enjoy the glory even though it's too late

My greatest crypto regret is that I have invested in some projects that turned to be a scam. Even those that were working fine and had some value. This makes me depressed about the whole future of crypto currencies in general.

6 Bitcoins, of course, would now be useful not only to you, but to any other person in the crypto market. But just a few years ago, 6 bitcoins cost almost nothing. You understand how fast time flies and how everything changes in the crypto market. I also regret that I did not come to the crypto market in 2014 or earlier, now I could also be a wealthy person.

Like many here, I regret that I knew about cryptocurrency so late. I'm grateful to a friend who invited me to the project on Bitcointalk in 2017 year. So that's how I received my first tokens.

Winter 2018 gave me opportunity to jump out to USDT, but I believed that crypto will not fall down so significantly. I wish to get back and sell atleast 50% of accumulated crypto funds.

@OP, are you sure you truly had such opportunity. If that is true, then I do not think you can regain from such big loss and perhaps that friend of yours might have sold it or kept it somewhere till date.
Also, what baffles me is that, I do jot know what your friend might be thinking of, that now made him to feel like dashing out 6 btc to you.
Anyway, my greatest mistake, was selling my coins before the right time. The coins were so low in price at that time, but because if my lack of patience, I sold them too early.

I made the same decision as well. Back in 2013, I was also thinking about purchasing some of the mining rigs. At that time, Butterfly labs were having some attractive offers on their mining rigs. But in the end, I think I made the right decision. BFL turned out to be a scam company and at that time, the payments were accepted only in BTC. I would have lost my BTC and never got the rigs.

Secondly, I sold more than two-thirds of my coins in 2012, when the prices were in the range of $200-250 per coin. I wanted to hold on for some more time, but back then my financial situation was really bad. But still I had the option of selling my equities and dumping my BTC. Unfortunately, I chose the later and sold off a large part of my holdings.

I am also one of the people like you but the thing I regret most is not selling ETH at the price of $1200. I personally missed a lot of big investment opportunities and lost a lot of money in this market but I believe the market will recover soon in 2020 and we don't need to worry too much about the market current . In my opinion you should be more patient during this time and limit panic sell because it is not good for your profits.

Eventually the market will recover, crypto is a different type of market, it's so unpredictable but as long as hold a solid coins which has great volume like ETH of course, that's gonna guarantee you a future profit, but then, you need to be more patient let this situation pass.

The current market might be bad especially for altcoins, but the market trends is telling us that prices usually rises in the long run and when there's a bull run things would be possible.

You only regret when you sell because you panic, but if you hold, you always have a chance.

We are not a fortune teller, for us to think that something like Bitcoin will worth thousands of dollars in the future, we have our own regrets until now, because there are so many coins coming in the market, but because of lack of knowledge, and insight we failed to analyze it's potential in the future and so we missed the opportunity of buying these coins.

My greatest regret is that I didn't register early enough in this forum, when the merit system was not as difficult as it is now, when people were getting the higher rank without much effort, now getting a merit is quite very difficult and one needs to work a whole lot more.

I personally have so many regrets, my experience in this industry has been wholesome, with many ups and downs. I regret not keeping my btc and ethereum, I would have made much more profit during the 2017 bull run, but had squandered my btc on hyips which all went wrong.

while everyone's regret was on the price  , your regret is different because its on this forum  but that should still be counted since this forum is still related to crypto  .  if your concern is the merrit , yes the new system makes it more difficult to rank up but its possible if you will only put some massive effort on your post .  many users have already rank up after the implementation of the merrit system . if they can do it , you can also do it too if you really wanted

Once a friend gave me 500 ETH for my birthday but I did not understand what it was. He told me that these coins are cheap but in the future its price may rise. I reacted to these words with skepticism and soon sold 80% of its Ethereum. In the end I missed a huge benefit that I could get if I waited one month!

My greatest sad story was early sold. Although I have several stories to regret. I really didn't know that after 1 month I was going to lose 30K USD. I sold for 3K USD, only 15 days later pump to 15K USD.

Like you even I have experienced the same type of problem which I have sold my Bitcoin at the price of 7000$ and within days the price of Bitcoin crossed more than 13000$. Sometimes we cannot expect how the market situation is going to be, sudden growth makes to lose more value when we will sell them at low prices.

My greatest regret was my brother in 2014 told me to work as a bounty hunter. But I declined thinking I could not earn much. But now I think had I joined bounty campaigns I could buy big coins like Ethereum, Litecoin, even bitcoin and others when their prices were so low. I regret this.

Why I was not introduced to cryptocurrency or particularly to bitcoin during 2010 when price of bitcoin was very low. Sadly I was brought to the world of cryptocurrency only during 2018 when there was too late to earn more profits from cryptocurrency.

sometimes we are always doubting things that have not been proven to actually provide profit but it turns out that over time the profits provided are so large that we regret not believing from the beginning, this is also what happened to me because I belatedly believed in crypto, but regret will not change the situation, so I chose to go through what is right now, the delay in knowing crypto became one of the biggest regrets of my life

That is actually a typical regret that almost everyone in cryptocurrency have.
We will never know about the future my friend. Even if there are some new coins which will be mooning in the future,
i don't think we will buy and keep holding that coin because we never know which one will be moon.

I think that recalling the lost profit / opportunity in the crypto industry is very stupid, since every year in this area there are opportunities for good money. We must live in the present and not in the past.

When they (friends) are busy with crypto activities, I assume they have wasted their daily time. After I learned with one of them, it turns out I am a person who does not know how to use time.
We actually have some people that are wasting their energy in the cryptocurrency world, so many of them, some are busy creating fud news without thinking of how they can make their own impact or money  from it, but  I can understand also how we have neglected the serious ones when they first invited us to cryptocurrency and I too has been in a situation where I actually told a friend of mine to get a better life than all these Ponzi scheme that they are doing, but little did I have the knowledge that crypto was a currency, but after getting the knowledge of it, I did not hesitate to take action immediately to secure my future by investing in it, and now I am glad that I did so. I might have neglected it when I first got to know about it, but I still did not make decision when it was too late.

My biggest regret in the history of the crypto industry is that I got to know this industry too late, and most newcomers will certainly say this. but whatever has passed and there is no need to regret it, the most important thing is to focus on the next step.

Investing is the most important thing that you should do. It is not big deal if you invest early or later in time is bad for getting in market as you got in so now don’t be worth after few months you will be able to recover your lose again.  So no need to regret the only biggest regret is panic selling try to stay away from it.

If I have any regret whatsoever, is to see a good project that I should invest in, but there might not be fund to do that. This has happened to me several times. So when I see those coins perform well in the market, it pains me. The same had happened recently again, which makes me to see it reoccur several times. Although, I believe I will one day overcome such challenge.

Op must be very sorry about that. I also have a similar experience. My friend invited and taught me to trade, at that time around 2016, I managed to collect around 2 Btc, I didn't think about long-term investment and immediately sold it to buy my dream items. Once in the late 2017s I was quite sorry because the surge in BTC was so high, I could get many times over from the start.

My greatest crypto regret was I sold off my all All.me tokens I got from my first bounty campaign right after it hit exchanges. I sold the tokens for low, but the token increased 1000 percent later. Now the token has remained stable at a certain point (at $0.15). Its ICO price was 0.01. I regret having sold the token.

My biggest regret is my friends joined us in this market in the 2nd. They told Ema to join in. I did not. They all own a lot of capital now. And I am the same as before. Then I might as well own some capital.

Oh, sorry to hear that was really a regreful thing happend to u. But I can't blame you, who would have thought that bitcoin will gonna boomed this way today? As for me, I regret i just know bitcoin last year. If I have known this kind of digital currency as early as that 2010, maybe I am happy now with because I may bought many btc before. But what can we do, past is past and we can't go back so let's move forward and be happy that we have been part of this advanced technology

My greatest regret is that I’m not very impatient and I sell my coins that are worth holding very early.  I can’t overcome myself and suffer from it very much.

That is actually a typical regret that almost everyone in cryptocurrency have.
We will never know about the future my friend. Even if there are some new coins which will be mooning in the future,
i don't think we will buy and keep holding that coin because we never know which one will be moon.
could other altcoin or other crypto have a future similar to bitcoin story? so we can buy another altcoin and expect have the same movement and not be disappointed for the second time?
I also feel the disappointment, because I joined bitcoin when prices were still very cheap too, when many people were still demeaning bitcoin. I was wrong not to buy as much as possible, and not to save it for the future Sad

There is too much of those coins for us to start analyzing them, if I may ask you, do you think you can analyses over 2000 altcoins? Analyzing these coins requires through investigation for your to really be able to know their future, and you know the time it takes to analyses each of these coins?

We can only use our discretion or based on people’s recommendation and opinion to pick some of those coins to analyze which some of them will still end of failing, in fact aside bitcoin, until now, it is still very much more impossible for you to really know the future of those coins, as everything all  depends on the project team, and only them can really tell of their strength and mindset towards the project that they released to the public.

I think this kind of regret should not be happening because we know it is impossible to reverse the time.
i would regret if i have bitcoin in wallet from 2009, but lost my private key now so i can't access my wallet.

Probably not buying lots of bitcoin while it was very cheap during the time I know of this stuff. Well this regret will not be happened again on some other coins that has potential out there. I think many also did regret with same reasons but we must move on. Who knows what could be the next bitcoin is just our coin or token resting on our wallet. Make sure to not dump all tokens youve earned from some campaign and left some, cause who knows what could it be the price in the coming years right.

Last year was one of the worst year of crypto, a lot of investors panic last year because seeing bitcoin at sub $3k from $20K was a big disappointment and that will shake the faith of some people if they are not strong enough.

Holders who survive until now will not gonna sell and will continue to hold because this year although it is still not a good year, but compared to last year, we have some small improvement this year, and that's enough to give us hope for the bright future of crypto.

My greatest regret may be the same as yours. At that time I was invited to study the crypto and how to produce coins. At that time I did not believe the results already described by my friend. But after a few months, my friend had a lot of money and could buy a car and so on.

And once I know the outcome of the money from Crypto, I definitely regret it. After that, I learned crypto and tried to find coins by following the Bounty campaign.

Mine is selling the airdrop token too early that I only got $300. But after 1 Month later I can get around $60,000 because price is rising instantly.
I can't imagine that I can lose all of that money Cry

the thing that I regret the most is that I learned about crypto late than my friends. My friend invited me to buy some bitcoin and told me to save in the long term but at that time I didn't care and didn't want to know it, and right now my friend got a very big profit while I was just learning.

Following on from this...

It took me a few more years to figure out that miners (especially those who can switch coins easily) are in a unique position: if you ignore capital costs, your maximum losses are limited to the electricity your equipment consumes. You don't need to risk buying hundreds or thousands of dollars worth of a coin that could crash tomorrow; if the market (or the coin) that you've been recently mining dies, you've just lost the value of the power used to mine it.

I used this epiphany to my advantage in 2017/2018 by finding obscure scrypt coins that were easy to mine. In essence, I was making the profit when I bought (mined), not when I sold. At that time, my costs were capped at around USD1000 per year, regardless of what I did with the coins I mined.

If I'd thought back in 2011 "this is only costing me a dollar a day, may as well keep going" rather than "hmm, if I don't sell soon I may not cover my electricity costs" then things could have been quite different.

I believe almost every one in the crypto space has got a regretful moment in crypto. Missing or misusing opportunities in crypto is the commonest among them. However, what matters most is when every mistake or regret serves as a lesson. Not researching into projects before investing was one of my earliest mistakes when I first join crypto and it ended me up with losses.

my biggest regret is selling 2 btc at very low prices, whereas in just one month the price of btc soared 1.5x. this is one of my biggest regrets now. So I think maybe we should focus more on BTC, and in the future so that no regrets occur later.
Regardless of what coins you will focus but if you do not sell at the right timing, you will still gonna regret.
The potential of bitcoin is really good, in fact, it's the most trusted coin in the market, but we cannot expect bitcoin will also have a rally, sometimes, it also drop and even undergo some big correction, but like I said, if you do it with timing, things will be a lot better for you.

Holding is always good but it should be with proper discipline to sell whenever necessary and not be greedy that in the end you will just fail to pull the trigger to sell.

In 2009, I was paid 32 btc for visiting various sites. It was such a cheap job. At that time, this number of bitcoins cost very little. I exchanged these coins for game currency in mmorpg Lineage 2. Now I remember this time with a smile and I think who would I be now if I did not sell bitcoins then?)

The problem is, how do you recognize these coins with potentials? How? The truth is that no one actually knows this. We only speculate. Even the early Bitcoin hodlers didn't know Bitcoin would amount to something this great a few years down the line. And I believe some of the early adopters regret not having as much Bitcoin as Satoshi mapped out for himself. Life is just that way and for that reason I don't want to dwell on regret because it always hurts whenever I try to remember my past mistake in this industry.

Not listening to friend early enough and when I decided to go in, listening fud.
Frankly, I don't look at the past too much, I am happy with my position as it is.
I have made many mistakes in the past but I adopted and doing opposite of what I was doing and it turned out just fine.

My greatest regret was selling  about 2 BTC when bitcoin fall at a very low price of $3.4K. I was so scared i thought i would lose my investments but now i can see bitcoin really falls and rises. I have also learnt quite a lot about the market these days i think i would hold the last few bitcoins till i see a new all time high.

I think there are many like this, selling their bitcoins below the price of $ 4000 for fear that prices will fall even deeper. But this often happens to us, thinking the price will fall turns out that the coins we sell prices go up again and even higher than our estimates. There was an incident like this that I did and I also regret it

if I think you don't regret it, because I think you also have a lot of good opportunities to take a lot of profit in bitcoin, because basically now is the time you can hold more bitcoin in the long run

As long as you learn something from each lesson you shouldn't have any regrets. In crypto there are and there will always be a lot of opportunities. All you need is to keep your eyes opened, do your own research, be patient and you'll find great opportunities to multiply your money.

No matter what, don't you never invest in crypto more than what you can afford to lose.

My regret in the crypto room is not to focus on this forum. Another regret I think is not there. Because of being out of focus, my knowledge in the crypto field was far behind my friends.

Yep,,, whatever wisdom you think you have gained, whatever mistakes you think you learn, you will always prevent yourself from maximum failure if you do this just one simple thing. And it is the same wisdom in real life and non-crypto,,, do not invest more than what you can afford to lose. Assume every single cent you invest will be lost and you have the recipe to a life with no regret.

I already heard a lot of such stories when people sold their BTC or altcoins and thought that the project could not develop. the most important thing is that you are still in this market and continue to earn money

Sometimes things like that happen due to the change of market situation, normally, most of the investors are starting to invest when the market is good because they believe that the progress will continue and they'll be able to have their ROI in short term period, but that expectation is only brought by lack of knowledge in the market because if they will study the history of the market, they will know that there are some big ups and downs in that happens in times when people aren't expecting it, that is why this market is labeled as an unpredictable market, hence the risk is high.

Never regret what you have done. The past is the past and can't be change. Regretting something won't change your future. Be happy with what you have now.

My biggest mistake. In 13, I had stable earnings on the Internet, and somehow I came across a cryptocurrency by a friend’s link, then it was a tap where you could earn by entering captcha, now these pennies would cost many times more. Yes, and if I then began to be interested in cryptocurrency, I would probably find something else interesting where you can earn bitcoin. In the cryptocurrency, he eventually came in 18.

Honestly speaking I have regretted not to take the benefit of bullish market in the year 2017. I must cash out some money rather than greed for more and apart from this I came to know about this market in year 2015 but I did not believe in this market If I must have been joined crypto world that time I must have good portfolio by now, that's why I repent to miss the opportunity.

My biggest regret was when I first was made aware about Bitcoin. It was when I first looked into the darkweb way back 2011/2012 and was immediately made aware of the existence of Bitcoin and that there it was being used as a main form of currency of exchange. I regret not researching more into cryptocurrency and its complete potential because of underlying blockchain technology since I had this initial shady impression of Bitcoin being associated with the transactions going on in the darkweb.

I hate to even think of it, my greatest regret was lacking the knowledge of what crypto is about. It Got to a point when I got some BTC I had to quickly sell it because I saw no potential, and I didn't have any clue about it . It still pains me, if I had knowledge about it it, I would probably be holding some reasonable amount of BTC

my biggest regret is
1. I am late to know this forum, I know this forum after they implemented the merit system.  Cry
2. In the late 2017 and early 2018 range, I bought a few eth when the price was around $ 500/1 in the hope that it would return to more than $ 1000/1 eth, but that never happened, because at that time my expectations were too high.  Sad
but I learned a lot about that incident.
which makes me pay more attention to my steps  Cheesy Cheesy

Still my greatest regret is not knowing about Bitcoin in 2010 or 2011. I thought of myself as a computer geek, but it was all about commercial programming for me. I spent more time in Stack Exchange, learning about javascript, html, and PHP. If I have known about Bitcoin, I would have tried mining it from my desktop and kept it for a souvenir.

That sounds pretty bad and regretful and there are more situations that i had read up to this thread which is more severe or can really make you frustrate because you had missed out the golden opportunity on making yourself rich or financially free.Even myself do have regrets since im still college wayback on 2009.I able to hear out about bitcoin but that thing do only passed for 24 hours and simply neglect it on the other day because we know that internet scams are rampant and im way too paranoid in regards to these things. In result, when i do involve to crypto market and discover out bitcoins price i do knock off my head why i did miss out those earliest years.

Selling my credit token of 3333 pcs for just 1,000 USD last December 12, 2017.
After less than a week, my 3,333 value more than 20,000 USD and that is the biggest regret i still feel.

The time wherein I sell my Bitcoins for $700 rate way back in 2016 if I'm not mistaken. As I was just starting that time, I wanna secure my earnings in crypto thus I put it on the bank and then after several months I begin in regretting that decision. In order to avoid that to happen, I promised to myself that I won't sell my Bitcoin unless I needed it urgently. Due to this mind set, I'm not affected by FOMO and panic seller people.

I haven't one regret, i had been disappointed before got a reward. Still I remember that time, after 2 days pumped 15000 USD but I sold it for 500-700 USD. Although I didn't realize the value of this coin.

My best ever crypto regret is when i sell my first ever bounty rewards that i earn in bitcointalk bounty campaign in a low value , i just earn a penny that time and for about a week later on the token just pumped up 20 times as it usual value in the beginning. That moment i learn a lot of things in cryptocurrency and learned what to do next in my rewards.

I think mine is I'm late to know cryptocurrency. I have been browsing the internet for many years already but just to find online games and watching youtube videos. In those years, I didn't see the word cryptocurrency even once. Its just in 2017 when somebody said it to me and that is the start of the new life Cheesy. Instead of searching for online games, now I'm searching for ways to earn online using crypto.

I made two haste sells during my early times in cryptocurrency, that was somewhere around Q3 2017. The sells I made were worth $200 but during the bull run of that same year 2017, those assets were worth $10,000. Anyway, I've learnt my lessons and I know how patience can be more significant when it comes to cryptocurrency.

Back in 2011, maybe even 2010, I was planning on buying $100 worth of Bitcoin through Paypal. Then they banned payments for cryptocurrencies. I just missed out on acquiring around 35 BTC for $100.

But to be honest, I doubt I would have held 35 BTC until 2017/2018. No one could have known it would explode in value. So technically, I did miss out, but not in a "oh my god I could have bought a house five years after I invested $100" kind of way.

I think it's good to learn from past mistakes but don't beat yourself up about it. The early to medium term adopters who saw 2000X+ returns were probably just lucky... or had balls of steel.

We do seen a lots of same misfortune decision making, that 2017 bull really make everyone regrets the moved that they made, seeing your assets pumping so high after selling it that's really a regretful move but you can't do anything about it just let it passed, you can try to make things better if you wanted to proceed and not to let things passed again.

My biggest regret is being late in this forum, maybe if I was in the forum since Bitcoin appeared early I think now it has become a millionaire if buying bitcoin around the price of $ 132 at that time. yeah, everyone has experienced his biggest regret. it's better now to think ahead and focus on this work and hopefully the market stabilizes soon and the project fraud is reduced.

Sounds like you discovered faucets in 2013? Yeah, they were giving out pennies at the time, even more than faucets today that just give out FRACTIONS of pennnies. Same like all those paid to click sites. Used to be 10 cents a long time ago per ad. Now 10 ads MAYBE give you 1 cent.

Those days of penny earning clicks and faucets are gone. I say good riddance though:)

Not only you regret the lost time and missed opportunities. However, it is true that those people who believed in cryptocurrencies at a time when there was not a lot of money could get rich. The earlier a person notices the prospects of a particular way of earning, the more you can earn.
Now we can not miss the new chances to earn money, so look in all eyes.

And why are most here regretting? If you are here now, it means that you are already part of the crypto community. And to think that the main earnings in the crypto industry are in the past is a mistake. The industry is very young and there will still be ups and downs.

Everyone has his or her regrets in crypto space, at least we learn from them but can't change what happened since it's past already. I sold 30 ETH at a miserable price in the past, that keeps hurting me when I remember it. I later bought ETH at 400$ and didn't sell when it touched 1000$.

Re: My greatest crypto regret

I have no regret. If I would change some things on better. Lets say buy Bitcoin earlier or sell all in December 2017, I could also turn things on worse, so buy much more expensive and spend when price was low. Regretting things to have them perfect is waste of your life, since is impossible to make anything perfect.  Go play basketball right now on World championship then. You think you can do things perfect why cant you play basketball perfect then.

Until now I still feel sorry. Why I didn't know Crypto from a few years ago., and I'm sure if I'm now probably I've had a lot of money. I knew Crypto when it was in 2017, and that year I also couldn't maximize any chance of making a profit.
But everything has happened and since the beginning of 2018, I tried to work hard. And I'm also lucky to benefit, even though the profit is very small.

Hopefully, for the year 2020, the season of Altcoin can return successfully, such as the year 2017.

for me, my greatest regret in cryptocurrecy is i didn't buy ethereum at ICO stage
because at that time i didn't believe if ethereum will be huge and become the best altcoin until now

One of the most painful things in brick for me was the Miracletele project. A month ago, I could sell the project coins for very good money, but I hoped that the project could really become something worthwhile in the crypto world, and was mistaken.
It’s ridiculous.

I have had several regrets too in my journey in crypto. Everyone in one way or the other has ways in which they have experienced downfall in crypto. One of the ways in which I have had regret  in crypto was when I supposed to participate in a particular bounty campaign and I ignored it which actually turned out to be of great profit interm of its reward. In another time, I was greatly in need of money and so I started checking through my wallet to see which coin I can sell to get money on time. I sold a particular coin at a  very cheap price of which that coin later became much more profitable than the price I initially sold it. I think we need to learn from our mistakes and become better in our crypto business.

Of course, I’m shocked that you hoped that a project that had a market capitalization of more than $ 100 million would continue to grow during the financial crisis.

Games is for entertainment while crypto investing is for profit, you should have a different funds allocation for both.

I also love games especially online games but I never miss investing in the opportunity in front of us which is crypto but I still have regrets here as an investors. Holding for too long is one of my regret as when I look at my portfolio now, it disappoints me and I realize although the coins we are holding has a potential, we still need to sell it at its time to be profitable on it.

Lots of new coins in the market that will be created, what we are holding now might become obsolete due to the growing competition.
that's the risk I saw for just holding...

My greatest regret in 2017 my friend eager to ask me join crypto but I do not want it. At that time the price really high and my friend become success in few months. So...few months later I join crypto but the price become low and lower. i still regret about that.
