With Messi's current age, it's just a matter of time before he decides to retire from the game and i think Barcelona were wise enough to think of the team Post Messi era and that's why they are re-signing Neymar and have brought in younger talents like Griezmann and Ousmane Dembele to ensure the future of their team.

As  for Ousmane Dembele, that kid is a loss for Barca. He will be loaned out a couple of times, and then he will leave after Barca realize he is just a liability

Too much too soon for the guy.  He's too young to be playing for a mega club imo.  From BVB he could've moved to the EPL and get more experience.  

Watch Pulisic (another former BVB currently at Chelsea).  He'll develop into a better player and be shipped to one of the Spanish mega clubs.

Just noticed the pool and it's surprising to see team like Barcelona is not ahead. Barcelona does not have the past glory then had anymore? I understand they are heavily depends on Messi but there are other good players as well who can win match for them.

Actually I think Dembele is the reason Neymar won’t return to Barca - simply because nobody wants Dembele...

From what I read PSG were interested only in Dembele from Barca offer, but the player didn't want to go to PSG. So it is more like Dembele doesn't want to go away. But who knows what is actually happening in those negotiations. We can only speculate from the bloated stories media feed us.

I think they should start thinking about how to play without Messi. Depending on Messi won't help them.

I really don't know what to say now about Barca. I was already worried but now I'm even more worried.

Worst start to the season for a long time I can remember. Messi about to come back and then got himself injured again for 4 more weeks. He'll even miss first games of Champions League it seems.

Worse of all, Real is above us still!

However Real Madrid missed the home win against Real Valladolid in the last minutes and there are many players in injury list, I expect an easy win against Villarreal.
Villareal didn't have a good performance in the past two matches against Granada and Levante. So I don't think they can have a good performance against Zidan's team. I expect Real Madrid to win the match with 2 or 3 goal difference. Real Madrid players will try their best to win the match after frustrating result against Valladolid.

With the exception of ball possession, it seems that Osasuna dominated every aspect of the game and i should saw that they were very unlucky to have ended the game with a point, Barcelona would be hoping that Messi returns from the sidelines very soon and not get injured for a while.

There are still 35 rounds left so this is too early to tell anything about the season winner but one thing seems clear here that this season is not going to be a boring one that one team will dominate over others.

That's what I think too. Are they not optimal in this official competition or have they lost their identity? When it comes to players, they are certainly very complete and even more. They should be better in the future.
