After one week International break we are going to see la liga between Mallorca and Ath. Bilbao. Bilbao has good opportunity to collect three more points since their record against Mallorca is very good.

Despite dominating the game, perhaps with a small margin Athletic Bilbao couldn't find a win and had to settle for a point. The highlight of the match being the fact both teams missed a penalty with about 9 minutes from stoppage time. Aduriz could have won it for Bilbao, following a VAR Review which awarded them a penalty with approximately a minute or so to play for.

I'm tempted to go for a home win @3.73, even though Bilbao are 2nd in the league table.

I ended up going with Mallorca 1X @ 1.65 but it didn't matter since my parlay went to shit thanks to Wolfsburg and Lyon. Regardless, what a game, especially in the last 10 min, I knew Mallorca wouldn't let me down, I didn't want to see Bilbao at the top 

Marca reported that Fede Valdverde will miss both the fixtures against Levante as well as clash against PSG, with the Uruguayan having tore a muscle.

Ceballos, Llorente, both were kicked out of the team because Zidane didn't want them. Van de Beek and Eriksen were close to signing with us but Zidane said "No, I want the one who's more expensive and more difficult to get: Pogba", we ended up with neither of them...*sigh*

Only thing I want to see is a great debut from Hazard.

I wonder why they're allowed to do that if there's not enough backup on the defensive line. Attacking with a 2-5-3 formation like City or Liverpool is useful only if they have a CB that is quick to defend and midfielders that could help with cutting opponents' pass.

You can't win if you keep conceding lots of goals after all.

But City didn't really have a CB that was quick to defend, they relied purely on good midfielders. Liverpool also couldn't handle it for many many seasons having leaky defence with great offence. As soon as Virgil came in they got better and won Champions League and should have won the league if not for City being so incredible.

Remember Liverpool also won champions league and got to 2 finals conceding many goals so maybe in tournaments it can still be reliable. And in Spain especially, we see that there is less and less reliance on good defence. Keep scoring and you eventually come out on top.

Just checked the scores and I was disappointed. I do not watch La Liga that much except Barcelona match. Today in my schedule I have two (three actually) match to watch:
Liverpool vs Newcastle - not going to miss a single minutes
Norwich vs City / Barcelona vs Valencia (If Messi is playing)

Messi is definitely out, Saurez should be to get some minutes (at least) If not the whole game. I think it's quite important that the team start adapting to Messi's absence and I'd have love to see it go for a few more games.

But from their recent performance, without Messi Barcelona seems an average team.

In EPL it's Man Utd and in La Liga it's Barcelona, two big teams in two major league, are suffering in this season. It will be interesting to see how they perform in Champions league.

Yep, 80% ball possession is crazy af. Sad to see Origi is being substituted, but with Firminho on the pitch, getting more goals must be the target.

I think Liverpool will win again, but who knows. They needed a win to make sure the competition is as strong as ever.

Obviously Liverpool's eyes are on the season title so they will make no mistakes to grab 3 points from as many matches as they can. The biggest competition for them is City. The fight seems still in between these two teams this year too. So the one will make more mistakes will risk their chances to win the title.

I think that something is going really wrong with Real.
From 3-0 to 3-2 isn't a good sign especially if you play with a weak team like Levante. I hope Zidane is going to fix this situation.

Clearly, Real dominate the first half but the second half Levante worked hard to come back. on 92nd minute Courtois saved a brilliant ball that allowed Madrid to have 3 points from Santiago Bernabeu for the first time on this season.

I saw James was workings so hard. He has to impress Zidane to be on the squad. I do feel James can replace the Balon Dor winner Modric. James will get 2-3 more matches to prove himself until Modric returns.

Casemiro is a gem for Real and Brazil. When Casemiro was substituted, Madrid started struggling. I don't need much to say about Ramos, Carvajal. But Vinicius needs to improve a lot.

Real Madrid climbs to the second position on LaLiga table. Barcelona has a match today against Valencia. Let's enjoy it!

I expected a cruise from Real Madrid after 3 - 0 at halftime, At least the were still able to secure 3 points. It all could have been a different story (disastrous one) If Courtois hadn't made that crucial save.

I hope Barcelona can follow up with a victory of theirs, Even if it's marginal like this. You don't want to get too far behind this early into the league.

He definitely can, he has the quality. I love the chemistry between James and Hazard already. I was thinking hazard would mark his Real Madrid debut with a goal but well, guess I was been too optimistic. Anyways, I'm glad Madria ended the day with 3goals and 3point. I would say it was a fair debut for hazard.

Courtois needs to improve and start keeping clean sheets, the goals he has conceded in a very short period of time are just too much for a world class goalkeeper like him. Still wish him the best although he left Chelsea on a sad note unlike hazard.

Bad week for Atl Madrid, They were unable to win when they visited Real Sociedad's headquarters. And unlike their rivals, Real Madrid and Barcelona had a good week after having had a bad week too. They get full points in this week's match. With that they tightened Atl Madrid at the top of the standings. And one more thing, Bilbao only drew this week.

Goal & an assist by Ansu Fati for Barcelona tonight vs Valencia. This kid is 16 years old, how fucking good could he be?

I watched him a bit yesterday and he had few more great moments in the game which didn't end with a goal. Definitely a player to watch. Let's just hope the kid has a good had on his shoulders. The comparisons with Messi already started and those are big boots to will. His coach already said that the buble started to inflate but he will do his best to deflate it, rather then to wait for it to burst.

I definitely did not see the Levante almost comeback happening but they will be happy and I'm happy at least we all know Real's defences are crap.

So are ours but we had to deal with Valencia. So good to see Suarez get his brace and our new boy get one goal too. It's going to be a really tough season for everyone.

And with that loss for Atletico, now nobody in La Liga has 100% starting.
