If we turn to the interim goalscorer, everything looks normal for now. I mean that no player has really mastered scoring goals. This is natural because the league has just entered its 3rd week.
Borja Iglesias is the challenger between Lewandowski and Benzema who is predicted to be in a tight competition. I hope there are no players who have problems in the middle of the competition to compete to be the top scorer in La Liga.

Fun statistic: this is Sevilla's worst start in 41 years (!). With the loss of a couple of key centre-backs over the summer, it's hard to predict whether they'll be able to rectify the situation or not. I think this team is not the right team to bet on this season. And I can't even imagine what will happen to Sevilla in the Champions League. It seems that they have a chance to set a couple of negative records there too (remembering City and Borussia in the group).

Worse yet, it looks like Sevilla really don't have the time to fix the problems they're having at the moment. Sevilla will play against Barcelona in the La Liga match and will play against Manchester City in the first match of the Champions League, at least Sevilla will continue to have strong opponents for the next matches in a row. Therefore, I say it's a shame Sevilla couldn't get maximum results in the first three matches against mediocre teams, because next Sevilla looks like they will only be a very chaotic team because of this poor performance.

Oh, so the next game will be against Barcelona! Great, Sevilla is in a position where there is nowhere to go so the game will be interesting (and I hope Barcelona will lose points). By the way, apparently this is reflected in the quotes of bookmakers:

Benzema was outstanding in that match. He became a savior for real madrid to get full points. Two goals from Benzema came in the last minute which proved that he is the hero of this match. So what do you do? You can't just bench benzema and get a younger player, but if you keep on trusting Benzema with it, eventually he will be old enough to not be able to do what he is doing, and at that point you will need a new striker.

If you do not have him ready now, and play that new striker time to time, then when Benzema stops being good, what are you going to do? It's a very weird situation to be in. I mean Benzema shouldn't have been this amazing at this age .

It's too early to see the top scorer's situation in my opinion. Laliga has just entered its 3rd week, but the seeds of potential top scorers have started to emerge after we see the strikers playing. Iglesias, Lewandowski, Iago Aspas, Benzema are in the top 4 and I think these 4 players will compete until the end of the season considering they are the top strikers of their respective teams.

I don't mind saying Lewandowski and Benzema will be ahead in terms of top scorers, but I think Lewandowski is very difficult to stop especially because of his prowess in terms of taking chances and positioning. His last goal for Barcelona was incredible, it came off the back heel.


Talking about today's match between Valencia vs Atletico Madrid then I think the visitors have a great chance to come back from last week's defeat. Valencia who are currently both dropping points in the previous match also cannot be underestimated, but because Atletico Madrid seem to be the better team then their chances of winning will definitely be good.

Cadiz vs Athletic Club tonight, both teams are in scarcity of goals in their first 2 opening games with Cadiz yet to Open their account while Athletic Club have only scored once in 2 games, while both of them being home games. Both teams do possess the firepower but haven't been able to capitalize on their chances. Could be another low scoring affair and I think Athletic would win the match 1-0 or 2-0.

The game is over and Madrid are still winning pretty well. It looks like they are still doing the same thing as last season by striking in the final 10 minutes and that was evident when Benzema scored 2 minutes before the end of the game and in extra time.
But what I see here is the performance of Tchouameni because it seems he is very comfortable and the position left by Casemiro seems to be completely replaced by him. He played quite well in this match.

I see Tchouameni will be a great midfielder this season, he will take advantage of all his levels like Camavinga in the previous season. Vinicius is pure play and talent and Benzema, as always, saves the team at key moments, without a doubt he is the golden ball.
Regardless of the result, Espanyol played superbly, they came out, gave everything and showed personality. Camavinga and Rodrigo came off the bench to revolutionize the game and provide verticality.

It is honestly very early to even think about who is going to be the top scorer in the league. But in my opinion, it must be either Karim Benzema or Robert Lewandowski. Both of them are two of the best in the world and also in this league as well.

I would like to say that personally I think both strikers are still reliable for every team, but I can't expect either of them to maintain their form especially because of their age. Benzema can still score goals, that's because he has good experience and skills. But you can't rely on him all season because his fitness usually declines with age.

As a Barcelona fan, I hope Lewandowski can maintain his form in every match. Aubameyang realizes that now after the last two games to score 4 goals. Too bad, I should have seen Lewandowski's 3 goals against Valladolid, but a bit of hull hit the bar before the rebound was met by Roberto for the goal.

As long as Karim Benzema keeps on performing for Real Madrid, I really do not have any issues with him. It does not matter to me if he is 40 or not. He should be on the team if he is scoring goals for the team. However, in my opinion, practicality is going to catch up with him at some point. There is probably two more years in which he will be able to play at his best, so he still has two more years to go. It is quite understandable that Carlo Ancelotti is unable to find a suitable replacement for this player at this point in time. It is difficult to find a replacement for a player who is going to win the Ballon d'Or at the end of the season. However, I believe that when Karim Benzema has finished his career at Real Madrid, someone new will emerge when he leaves the club.

Barcelona is also much better than last year, especially if you compare the two first half of the season. The difference with Lewandovsky in your team is night and day. No other Barcelona player could have achieved that goal he scored yesterday. Only then you will see how good he is, and you will also see how valuable he is against clubs where it is 0-0 for a long time. I think Real Madrid is still better, but the differences have crept closer together and it's not that much of a difference. I agree with you on this,  Real Madrid was outstanding last season with this current squad in the team, winning the champions league and Spanish La Liga with the same players and Karim Benzema being the hitman of the team last season. With the current form of the team and the players, Ancelotti has watched their good performance before coming out to say he's ok with the current squad so I think he's players are in their best form now with the main man Benzema still active in scoring goals, I think Madrid is ok and hotter than last season.

I agree with you on this,  Real Madrid was outstanding last season with this current squad in the team, winning the champions league and Spanish La Liga with the same players and Karim Benzema being the hitman of the team last season. With the current form of the team and the players, Ancelotti has watched their good performance before coming out to say he's ok with the current squad so I think he's players are in their best form now with the main man Benzema still active in scoring goals, I think Madrid is ok and hotter than last season.

Karim Benzema is a great player. That guy has been consistent and loyal for so many years. Even when he was under the shadow of Ronaldo he was still loyal and balling. I thought that the peak of Benzema was last season, but with what I'm seeing presently, is like Benzema is set to unleash terror this new season.  He is such a fine and good player with young lads like Vinicius and Rodrigo around, Real Madrid will be strong contenders in both CL and Laliga
