Valencia performance not quit well such as Athletic Bilbao and not difficult opponent team for Girona next match after losing points last match from Bilbao, Girona dropped to 2nd position although have the same points and lead goals productivities from Real Madrid but have conceded many goals and loss first meeting make them have been under Real Madrid position on current La Liga standings awhile. Both top teams between Madrid and Girona will face weakness opponent team with Real Madrid vs Granada and sure not problem for winning three points. Looks the same with Girona regarding the opponent team upcoming match have inconsistent performance and Valencia dropped on 9th place will be easy for Girona defend the second position.

I think interested match in this week Barcelona vs Atletico Madrid, draw result will be more advantage for Madrid and Girona because both teams have four points left from Madrid and Girona points.

Girona must stay down to earth and wait for their chance when the others have their issues. If they don't lose contact to the top, the chance could come when Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico play in the final rounds of the Champions League. Maybe they will try to give some of their players a rest from time to time and take some risks in La Liga. But before I get into speculation about player rotation, Girona has to make sure that they are still around when the time has come.

I think one way to make some guesses about the required performance of Girona to have a chance at the end of the season is the average number of points that title winners won in the last few years. It often was close to 90 points and then it becomes obvious that this is a huge challenge for them. I also think that Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid won't lose many points easily. Maybe they will lose some here and there because of a draw, but I expect Real Madrid especially to go very close to 90 points and maybe more than that. Yeah I actually get your point since is quite obvious and everybody is channelling all there support to real Madrid and also all the bet are also for real Madrid  perhaps the match could also turn around in the favour of Granada because it just occur to me the Chelsea match against Manchester City on that faithful day that almost everybody bet for Manchester City to win Chelsea because even without being told you will know that Manchester City will win Chelsea but at the end of the match reversal was the case and so many people lose there bet so however in games like Granada with a big team it could also end the same way Chelsea match did.

Girona initial plans was to top Real Madrid with good points gap but it turn out they're just classified as one of these average clubs that keeps struggling to maintain the game balance with elite teams in La Liga. They would have been the club still topping but they do lack the necessary qualities to maintain top spot this season.

i am very happy for them as they were supposed to be the winner by all means. This game almost went just one way the whole time, but Valencia showed some impressive defending when needed and they made the most out of the weak game they played. Their passing was horrible, but Girona didn't find a way to capitalize on that for too long. But I still think that Girona played like a mature team with a lot of patience, waiting for their moment and then scored. It is good for everyone that they are back at the top again.

Las Palmas finally won again after beating Getafe in Week 15 and with a score of 2-0 that was enough for them to secure 3 points in the match against Getafe. I thought that Getafe would be an obstacle for Las Palmas because in the last 9 matches they had not been defeated and in the last 10th match, Getafe fell in front of Las Palmas.

But Las Palmas' victory was also inseparable from the advantage they got after Getafe only played with 10 people since the early minutes of the second half. Despite all that, Las Palmas managed to crawl to 8th position and Getafe had to be a little patient by remaining in 11th position.

That would be so strange if palmas will unable to win against getafe. The red card means nothing. The first goal took place before the referee issued a red card to the Getafe player. The first goal has been hitting the mentality from the getafe players. If you are also aware about how getafe players looked like so frustrated in facing the attack from la palmas. Palmas was able showing significant improvement in the performance from the club. Glad to see that palmas was able to win with very good score.

i am very happy for them as they were supposed to be the winner by all means. This game almost went just one way the whole time, but Valencia showed some impressive defending when needed and they made the most out of the weak game they played. Their passing was horrible, but Girona didn't find a way to capitalize on that for too long. But I still think that Girona played like a mature team with a lot of patience, waiting for their moment and then scored. It is good for everyone that they are back at the top again.

Valencia played very well in the first half and led 1-0 over Girona but dropped their performance in the 2nd half and Girona scored two consecutive goals in the 82nd and 88th minutes to win the match.
