Sevilla was struggling since the first match of la liga. It was a signal of sevilla will not be playing so well in the UCL. The financial trouble faced by the club was making it even more terrible. Even sevilla had to put all of its players for sale to make sure the team can raise the money that can be used to pay the debt. It was making sevilla being forced to use the available players which are not as good as the players who had left from sevilla. This is the main reason why sevilla was performing so badly this season.

Sevilla was also changing its coach and some players are feeling so hard to adapt to his strategy till now. The chance for this club to survive in UCL is zero but a slight chance is still there for sevilla to qualify for the europa league.
The coach was not a serious problem but lost so many important players have become the main reason sevilla was playing that bad in all of competitions.
