This Midweek match results have been favourable to Real Madrid, Girona and Barcelona as each of the clubs won their respective matches against their opponents. Real Madrid still maintains the top spot in the la Liga table by just goal difference against their major competitor Girona who is also in same points with real Madrid as the both clubs have been resilient in their performance so far and non among them wants to drop a point at this critical stage of the league.

Girona has also been doing awesomely well for them to start the season with such an outstanding performance till this stage and I must say that their team work so far is applaudable and should they continue in this nature, then they may likely make some wonderful achievements this season.

Barcelona has been in decline recently, not being able to win 1 out of 3 consecutive matches in all competitions. Barcelona this season is not a good investment channel for me with many recent matches. Facing a not-so-strong Las Palmas team, Barca experienced a very tense away match. Barcelona did not play well in the first half and deservedly conceded a goal in the 12th minute.

The most important thing for Barcelona at the moment is getting 3 points despite their performance which was not very entertaining when they hosted Las Palmas, but this is understandable because Barcelona squad depth situation is not good. Now they have managed to climb to third place in the standings by drawing Atletico Madrid, but to catch up with Girona and Madrid they still need several wins. It's not easy because  the competition between the two top teams  at the top of the standings is getting hotter after both of them scored 3 points each and they don't want one of them to be ahead. Girona was very persistent and worked  hard against Atletico Madrid having to show each other's attacks. Atletico Madrid was almost saved by Morata 3 goals but in the final minutes the strength of the back line could not thwart Ivan Martin's movement in the penalty box who had a thin gap but managed  to find the back of the net.

In the future, Barcelona will focus on the Copa del Rel competition and the Supercopa semi final match against Osasuna. In my opinion Xavi should be able to manage the players by reserving the main players to focus on La Liga because against Real Betis needs greater strength than against Las Palmas.

I knew so well Girona would win Athletico Madrid in that encounter because Girona wanted to continue their unbeaten run,and they also proved that they are capable of  winning the Laliga by passing that great test of winning Athletico.It is also a reminder to Madrid that they aren't playing this season,and that if Madrid are not careful,they may win the Laliga tittle from them.
I won't be surprised if Barca do not qualify for Champions league next season because I thought they would be among the teams giving Girona and Madrid problem in a bid to win that tittle,but instead,they aren't getting results in some important games that they needed to win for people to know that they can do something this season as well.

Well, Girona has so far been very consistent and performed very stably in La Liga even though they will face various pressures and difficulties but I sure Girona can still finish the League in top place.
The only obstacle for Girona is Real Madrid and for Barcelona itself I not sure they can win the title this season considering their performance is less than optimal because several players are injured.
Who knows whether Xavi will bring in more players or not in the January transfer window.
But hopefully the UCL ticket will be as expected, namely Girona can stay at the top and get it.

The last match for the week is live today in 3 match, I got what was worth betting on.

In the transfer market this season, there may not be much that Barcelona can do. they are still experiencing problems with their finances and of course, cannot buy freely. Xavi is limited by that ability.
and the option of selling players and bringing in new players may be what Barcelona has to do—or looking for players with free transfer status which is usually done by Barca. Xavi certainly wants to restore Barcelona's performance to its peak.

I was almost disappointed with Barcelona when the match was approaching the 90th minute but the score was still level. Well, Barcelona doesn't seem to be back to their best performance yet. Because if Barcelona is in top form then beating Las Palmas won't be this difficult. Because without penalty kicks this match would only end in a draw. It was amazing match. In the first half, Girona could lead with 1 goal (score 3-2). But in the second half, Atletico Madrid scored 1 goal to equalize the score (3-3). Both teams seemed to be trying optimally in this match so that the match was quite tough. The statistics are not much different between the two clubs. In fact, Atletico Madrid actually had more opportunities to score goals, yes, they attacked with more shots on target. However, Girona's defense is also quite strong this time. Coach Carlo Ancelotti has extended his Real Madrid contract till 2026. Maybe what @Juggy777 meant is that the Italian might be sacked before the end of his contract if he fails to get the expected result. Regarding Barcelona's performance, I don't see them winning major competitions this season. Las Palmas would have scored close to four goals if not for their wastefulness. Barca showed less attacking prowess and the defence looked weak. The two goals they managed to score were defensive mistakes. They will meet Napoli in the Champions League knockout stage and I think it is a blessing because the Italian side is also struggling. They would have been in deep shit if they were peered with clubs like Bayern Munich, Inter Milan or Manchester City.

Las palmas had a good very good game even though they didn’t get any point. I expected a tough game between this two sides knowing that Barcelona struggles when play on away soil. I think Barcelona were perhaps lucky to only be one down at the half time interval, but they were much better in the second period.
Honestly,  Las Palmas first half performance was incredible. They should have gotten a point has it been they maintained the momentum till the end of the game. I think it’s high fine Barcelona steps up. The frequency of conceding early goals is worrisome and a few shots skywards is amateurish.

The result keeps Barcelona seven points behind Real Madrid and Girona, and three points ahead of Athletic Club and Atletico Madrid.

Yes, at least this victory is able to break the series of bad results that Barcelona has had in the last few matches and I am quite sure that Barcelona will be able to beat Las Palmas even though they have to limp a little because the condition of Barcelona's players is not at their best, especially since Barcelona's Joao Cancelo was injured in this match. and this adds to the list of Barcelona players who are injured, so this will make things difficult for Xavi in the next matches if Joao Cancelo's injury is serious.

even though Barcelona condition is currently in decline, Xavi as a coach always tries to provide consistency to his team, even though it is very difficult, he has tried and produced the best. Initially, in yesterday's match I doubted whether Barcelona could win or at least draw would be a better result but it was surprising that Gundogan was able to get 1 winning score from a penalty in the final minute.

what I'm thinking right now is actually not about finances which are very difficult for Barcelona, it's just that Lewandowski and Felix at the beginning of last season made a very good contribution but I dont know what the cause was in the second half of the season, there was a very visible decline in performance, in fact I just always focused on other players like Gundogan and Torres who are actually very consistent in being able to make a very good contribution but when I look at Lewandowski and Felix I become very lazy to look at them because initially these two players were very reliable but lately they have experienced a decline in performance without any clarity as to the cause and I'm sure In fact, Xavi has provided great training, but it seems like Lewandowski age is affecting the decline in performance.

Barcelona kick off their 2024 campaign against Las Palmas in what is a must win game. they are currently at 5th place, ten points of the top two and really need a win to move up to 3rd and stay within touching distance.

Xavi has named a strong side for tonight's match and so have Las Palmas who are looking to defeat Barcelona for the first time in more than 30 years.

The match was quite tough for FC Barcelona, but Barcelona managed to beat Las Palmas in the dying minutes with a penalty kick. With a win over Las Palmas, FC Barcelona has recorded a second consecutive win, extending their unbeaten run to 3 matches in the league. Barcelona has moved to the third position in the La Liga table after defeating Las Palmas.

I said this was Barcelona's win because they were lucky. This match was very tight where each team had their own role to beat each other. We can see Las Palmas dominate the first half with authority, and Barcelona stand out more in the second half. Las Palmas in this match managed to perform optimally in defense, and everyone was ready to share the points, but a controversial action in the final moments of the match meant that Las Palmas had to accept defeat after Barcelona scored a goal through a penalty which was executed perfectly by Gundongan.

This was Barcelona's 12th win of the season and finished the first half of Laliga with 41 points, still far behind leaders Real Madrid and Girona. While Las Palmas finished the first half of the season with 25 points, despite the loss, I think the fans are proud of their team, they are back in the league after five long years, they have the second best defense and are ranked in the top 10, and certainly far from relegation team. a great achievement for Las Palmas.

Barcelona were very lucky to get 3 points against las Palmas. However, compared to the previous matches, Barcelona players have performed very well in this match. However  Las Palmas players were  confident in the home match. They  were able to attack a lot in this match. Las Palmas got a 1-0 lead in just 12 minutes of the match. Barcelona could not score any goal in the first half. However, Torres scored the first goal for  Barcelona at the beginning of the second half. Gundogan's performance was good throughout the match. Winning one to nil was okay at some point for Las Pamas, how can they miss all of those chances they had? So they be expecting to win the game that way? They should have won though only if they had raised the bar to two goals..
Xavi Hernandez won't be sacked, rather he should get a defensive midfielder and make sure that midfied doesn't leak no more. Las Pamas pressed Barcelona and they was the better side at home yesterday. Even the goal scored by Ferran Torres was a by chance a big luck.

That was a clear penalty, and the red card wasn't enough, that player should be suspended how can he push such a player on air that way? Glad IIkay Gundogan converted the penalty anyways.
