Barcelona has already equalized the result and I agree Barcelona needs to start the year with a win,I go further and say if they don't win tonight against Las Palmas and I start recalling their away results where they have made many mistakes then I wonder against who will they win when playing away from home.

The title fight is already over for them as they are further down in points and a win tonight would make them 7 points behind to the leaders yet to me 7 points look very difficult to recover in a league like La Liga where the quality of the teams is very good overall.

The Girona and Atletico Madrid match was a treat to the eyes. The Girona players scored a goal in the extra time of the second half. Alvaro Morata scored his hat trick in the match as well. I was concerned about how Girona's performance would be after they just lost the top spot but it looks like they got the fight in them. It is very assuring for me because La Liga will still be very interesting.

Celta Vigo had a very tough victory against Real Betis which put them out of the Relegation Zone which is very good for them. Just like the Girona match, Real Betis scored the winning goal in the extra time of the 2nd half. What a night it was in La Liga!

I didn't expect the match to be so exciting because I expected at most 3 goals in the match. I expected Girona to win with a score of 1-0 or 2-1.Girona is doing really well this season and they have the power to beat all the big teams. They beat Barcelona 4-2, Atletico Madrid 4-3 and if I remember correctly, they beat Real Madrid with a score around the same score.They may be having a season like this for the first time since they were founded and they will want to make the most of it.I don't know if they will be champions this season, but they have made a name for themselves and it looks like they will continue.

Girona achieved great success by winning yesterday because most people thought they were more likely to lose points against Atletico. They deceived everyone and managed to score 4 goals against Atletico and win the match in a magnificent way. Even though Morata played one of his best matches and scored a hat-trick, he was not able to change the result. A sad ending for Atletico.

Girona surprised again, at the beginning of the match they created a real storm for Atlético, but I confess that I thought that Atlético would be able to achieve a draw in this match. Barcelona won, but that shouldn't happen again because that's not how you win matches; it's an immense difficulty for them given their position on the ball. Barcelona was unable to match levels in the first half because Las Palmas used a defensive strategy to seal down their territory, blocking any balls fleeing with good pull outs and cautious tackles. Yeah Barcelona almost failed to get 3 points but a goal in the last seconds saved them and these 3 points are very important for Barcelona to stay close to the top 3 overall Barcelona performance was not aggressive in this match and Las Palmas can keep up with them, even though this shouldn't be a difficult match for Barcelona but in fact the two teams are almost draw.
