Without Benzema, I also thought that their gameplay will not be as good as usual, but I didn't expect that it will be very high like this.
Barcelona was very motivated and powerful, from the beginning, their offensive really cornered the Real Madrid defense.
I also realized that Barcelona might have a bigger chance to win when Benzema is absent, but I didn't expect that the result will to be 4-0. Wow, holly suprise.  Although I guess that Real Madrid may let this match be lost because they wnat to focus on UCL. But, This is El Classico and this is prestige.

It is unlikely that this defeat can be explained by the fact that Real is concentrating on the Champions League - right now Real have a simple segment of the calendar and they could play here at full strength. I think this is Ancelotti's coaching mistake. Real had to give Barcelona the ball and sit in a deep defense playing on the counter (then maybe Real would have won 4-0 and not Barcelona). This is the most effective tactic that allows you to achieve results against a team playing ball control. Or play total pressure and ball control like Bayern. Real played something in between and lost.

If they were preparing for the champions league they should have atlas defended well not conceding four goals in a single match to a club that was struggling in the beginning of the season. The fact is barcelona under Xavi management has proven to be the best currently in the spanish laliga series this season.

Conceding 4 goals does not mean the Madrid defense is weak the fact that in La Liga Madrid are the team that conceded the second fewest After Sevilla
Based on the quality of the two teams not much different it's just a matter of lucky day that Barcelona won today, indeed 4 goals is a bit embarrassing.

Xavi knows very well how to deal with Madrid. The strategy used is perfect. Madrid let Xavi's team control the midfield and that's the result that Madrid must accept.

Agreed, after Xavi became Barcelona coach they started doing well and they finally got to the top. But no one expected the last game against Real Madrid to be so great. I thought they couldn't win in Madrid, but I was wrong. I didn't think Barcelona were capable of playing like that right now.

I think it is quite too early to conclude that this Barcelona side are back to their glory days form no doubt Xavi has revolutionize this team but they should start winning trophies before I can place them at that level. Real Madrid were rather extremely poor and helplessly disjointed in that game, Vinicius Jnr was no where to be found even the Midfield was in shambles. It could be that Real Madrid underrated Barcelona coming into the game and other factor is the absence of Benzema.

Losing Benzema is still one of the biggest scourges today for Madrid.
Actually there are a lot of strikers who have names that shine enough individually at Madrid but their performance is still not possible and so bad that they cannot replace Benzema's role there.
Their schedule is still very tight now and it is very unfortunate if they are still like this because dependence on Benzema will be difficult to anticipate if something unexpected happens to Benzema

It is undeniable here, Benzema is a charismatic player whose position is so necessary for Real Madrid. He is the leader of the club, so naturally when his absence makes all lines of Real Madrid starting from the left and right wing, the back line, everything becomes out of control. Xavi exploits this deficiency, who is good at reading the direction of the opponent's game. And obviously it's made to look like it's going to play as many say Barcelona against a relegation club.

In this match, it looks like Benzema's absence has caused a lot of losses for them, but on the other hand, I don't really understand why Carletto has adopted such a strategy in this match.
They used a 4-1-4-1 formation at the start of the game and towards the end they used a 4-2-4-0 formation by attracting Casimero and Kroos as defensive midfielders and 4 people as central midfielders without an attacker up front.
A very strange formation in my opinion because it is very clear it is very ineffective

Benzema is undoubtedly Real Madrid's best player but let's not be carried away. The whole Madrid squad has been effective enough this season. At least they will be able to hold it down until Benzema returns. Yesterday was an unfortunate day for Real Madrid. I can't say if Benzema presence would have changed the score sheet.

Based on goal chances I thought I should have scored more than 6 goals that night against Real Madrid, but Courtois managed to secure some chances and some were not finished well by the barcelona players. I think Real Madrid's performance was greatly affected by Benzema's absence, it reduces their attacking power so Barcelona don't have to worry too much about defending. Really, it was a great job from Xavi and Barcelona.

Yah it was really stunning to watch Barcelona scoring 4:0 against Real Madrid. Aubamayoung's was amazing with his 2 goals adding to 4. Was expecting that the match should go much tougher with at least 3:3 draw but yes it was Barcelona just made it. Really disappointed to see Real Madrid without a goal. Real Madrid is worth to at least score minimum of 3 goals  in such matches.

Barcelona are probably in their best form lately. While, I have observed that Real Madrid hardly win their matches without Benzema, and he didn't play last night. Although they were others good players why would have struggle for Madrid to win the match. But, Barcelona was well prepared, and were able to beat Madrid. Aubameyang performance was quite impressive, he scored 2 goals. I don't they won the game by luck.

Barca is not the team it was two months ago. The speed in the Catalan club's ball rotation ability is much improved, in addition to the presence of an excellent rookie in attack, Xavi has been able to restore the identity of el barca. A landslide score of 4-0 is beyond the predictions of many observers, but what we must realize is that, Barca have now returned and made the El Clasico score perfect again.

Sevilla closely followed the Real Madrid-Barcelona match. The fact that Barcelona caused this defeat to Real Madrid made them nervous as well. What do you mean? Benzema must play if he has no problem with Calf Injury. Of course, Real Madrid needs to think about the replacement of Benzema, because it is very crucial for the attacking line. The absence of Benzema really showed very big impacts, Real Madrid has difficulties to make goals. Ancelloti put Rodrygo as the replacement of Benzema, sadly he played badly. It is clear, Real Madrid must have a new top Central Forward in the next transfer window. Because once Benzema is injured, there is no good substitution player.

It is not surprising if Barcelona won the ball possession, it is the play of style of Barcelona (tiki-taka). Barcelona is always good in midfield, but usually it is not a very big deal for Real Madrid. As long as Real Madrid has a strong central forward and wingers, Real Madrid can use a counter-attack strategy effectively. This strategy doesn't require winning the midfield or ball possession.

This El Clásico was surely a horror show for Real Madrid and manager Ancelotti because no one was expecting result like this specially at Real Madrid home even mostly was surely to believe we are going to have score like this from home team against Barcelona, but they started in very aggressive mood and until end they never give any change to them for having any breath.

Without any doubt now Aubamayoung is the key playmaker for them with his natural talent and abilities. Benzema's absence have some impact but with result like this showing if he was available then still we have things like this not good for Real Madrid because in last night match we have feeling they were not having any thoughts about performance like this from Barcelona, but they give them shock of this year and big announcement for next seasons challenge.

We have left a really interesting and astonishing El Clasico behind. And it was just hell of a game between these strongest teams of the league now. But the problem was that there was no competition between them. Barcelona started to take control of the game after a point and left Real Madrid helpless and desperate there. As a result of it, Barcelona demolished them in this away game by 4-0. This score must be too much for Real Madrid. I don't think they were expecting such thing here. But I'm sure that they will gather themselves up soon.

People talked about how Barcelona was bad just because of their europa league game. However, I believe this should be enough to shut everyone up already. They are back, Xavi took this team from nothing and turned it into something amazing. They are a force to reckon with and just because they had a bit of a trouble in europa league (still went to next stage) doesn't mean that they won't be able beat anyone they face.

From here on out, I believe they will still lose some points, but I think that it will be rare occasion, they will probably win every game left in the league and in europa with the exception of a few ties and maybe one loss, that's it.

The result could be different in the next el clasico who knows luck is not the same in every season.

why do you say Barcelona is usually not so great in the last few games? if you look at the games that Barca has played, maybe you can see more than 10 of their games without defeat. they are growing very well. Madrid underestimated him too much. it's not by luck. because I don't believe that Barca's 4 goals are luck.

I agree that everything is possible in football and Barcelona will be able to win second place and beat Sevilla. The only thing that needs to be made is a serious assumption that the team will also play until the end of the season itself without losing points, which is not the most obvious fact, and the example of Inter in Italy, which allows itself to make serious slips lately, should make it serious about it.
