Barcelona is playing very well in La Liga. Barcelona is 8 points ahead of Real Madrid. Barcelona has lost just one match this season. They are consistently playing well in every match. I think they will want to continue this streak in the Europa League. Xavi aims to win the Europa League title.
However, in the Barcelona vs United match, neither team managed to score in the first half. Barcelona scored early in the second half in the 50th minute and conceded a goal just two minutes later. The match is now tied at 1-1. Let's enjoy the match.

Barcelona on comfortable position in La Liga after having 8 points left from Real Madrid in current standing position, actually Barcelona has consistency performance in domestic league but last few hours has bad achievement after held draw by Manchester United on first leg UEFA Europe League playoff round.

I can't optimistic with Barcelona for La Liga tittle in this season although with consistency performance and have 8 points difference because Real Madrid with mentality winning always have come back habit, lets see several matches later how long Barcelona consistency and Real Madrid will in the winning trend or not.

Atletico Madrid - Athletic Bilbao can be quite a tough game for the home side.

Because Atletico Madrid are still having problems on scoring goals easily. Maybe they haven't lost a game in the league for many weeks. But it is still not enough to hide the truth that they have scored only 30 goals in 21 games. They need to be more productive than this to have a continuation of this form longer. Athletic Bilbao aren't a team that they can beat very easily. They are more challenging than Celta Vigo. But I still want to give Atletico Madrid a chance for the win by a slight margin.

It won't be an easy one for Atletico Madrid despite winning Bilbao in their home stadium this season. Bilbao will want to take advantage of Atletico's deficiency in scoring many goals to either play for a draw or get a narrow win if they find a chance early enough. D Simeone needs to just improve on the teams hunger for more goals in their next match because winning Bilbao again this season will require creating dangerous chances that are more technical than that of their counterpart. Celta Vigo pressure is less compared to what Atletico will face at their home stadium against Bilbao

I think Barcelona's performance against Manchester United today was a proof of how much more they care about the La Liga title compared to the Europa League one.

Because they had really serious issues about having the control in their hands during the match. This just helped Manchester United come more to their goal and the final result was 2-2. With this performance level I don't have much faith in Barcelona to eliminate them. Maybe nothing has finished but their job is going to be very difficult in Old Trafford. Manchester United defeated Manchester City there and they can do it against Barcelona as well I believe. Actually it would be nice for Barcelona to focus on not only the La Liga because the Europa League also would be helpful for improving their financial status more.

There was like no defending by Elche. The defenders were only pretending like they were doing something.    They were so desperate that they were able to stop some of the Real Madrid attacks by causing to penalties.

Benzema had one of his most comfortable games I guess. Because he scored both of his goals by penalties. I don't underestimate penalty taking of course but you know what I mean. He could have made an hat-trick before leaving the field also but he wasted a couple of chances to do so. Elche were trying to defend an area to tighten the penalty area for Real Madrid attackers. But they were horrible at it. The result was expected I think because Elche were the worst team in the league.

It's difficult when they try to defend with a defense that can be said to be quite weak but that's not enough when facing Madrid as their opponent.
They lost in any case and it was already visible from the start especially Madrid was targeting points in this match.
Benzema appeared with the Brace and this is obviously very good for him especially with this he is back on top scorer path and at the moment he is only 3 goals away from Lewandowski. It's definitely a great return for Benzema. His condition, which was not good enough due to recurring injuries, hampered his productivity but now he is back and there is still plenty of time for Benzema to overtake Lewandowski to become top scorer.

Regardless of the signature of Memphis Depay from Barcelona, Diego Simeone and his side hasn't improved and proved they can end the season well because never say never. I look up to Athletico Madrid but then not so sure they can win against Bilbao who have been a better side than Diego Simeone side. Time without number, I'd advice him once again to improve on his tactics. He shouldn't be defending too much football way past that level.

When saying they weren't serious there was no way they were trying so hard to level the playing field. and saying the competition is not very prestigious is actually quite funny when indeed they still need a trophy to secure Xavi's position and reduce the losses resulting from defeat on the Champions League stage.
They play very seriously, it's just that Manchester United also do the same thing. Their chances are quite balanced even though Barcelona's dominance is greater, indicating that they are very serious in this match.

Actually if we look at Atletico's development over the last few seasons they are like this, they faltered a bit at the start and started to return to their ideal position in the Champions League Zone towards the end.
The addition of Depay is also something they did well. The conditions are slightly different when this season Simeone rarely trusts Joao because of Morata's presence, but with Depay now they are still quite good because they can still fill the position left by Joao quite well.
Simeone still has to improve because his condition is still not possible for them at the moment.

Don't say that FCB wasn't serious about today's match cus you don't actually know if they gave in Thier best in the game and it turned out that it was just meant to be a draw game ....and nothing could be done about it.
Man United has bigger visions over the Europa league; they'll give in Thier best - coupled with their current form and development - they'd wanna beat pass any stubborn team on Thier way and, I don't think FCB shoulda been an option either.

Honestly i don't think Barcelona team is taking the Europe league seriously and Manchester united don't have many things to fight for this year so they will try hard to win the Europa league, also Barcelona team is doing great matches in la Liga so i believe the result is totally logic but it's not over for them and they can get the qualification from old Trafford

It looks like a really difficult game is waiting for Sevilla as well this week.

Their opponent is going to be Vallecano and it is an away game. Their previous meeting ended up with a 1-0 victory for Vallecano while they were the away side. I can't imagine how difficult this one will be for Sevilla. Actually there is some development in their work recently but I still have issues with believing in them. I just expect to see each team scoring at least one goal. But about the result, I think Vallecano wouldn't lose this. Their double chance might be another option to add to a parlay.

It sounds non sense for me. Once your team could take some trophies at the same time and will you miss it? It sounds like you were defending barcelona from the fact that if MU was forcing it to be draw in camp nou. That being said that barcelona was not so strong when it comes to face with EPL team. How can you call that barcelona didn't play seriously against MU? Why don't just barcelona give more goals as charity for MU? Barcelona has been doing what it can do against MU.
Just because barcelona got draw against MU and you were defending it didn't play seriously against MU. By the way, barcelona will be facing cadiz in upcoming match which will become easy points for barcelona.

That was clearly the thing they had to do. Because even though their condition is quite comfortable with the difference of 8 points now and they still have to undergo a busy schedule, that doesn't mean that should be used as an excuse for them to relax a little.
The current condition is that they have the upper hand and as much as possible Xavi should be able to make good achievements this season so they can prove that their aggressive actions at the start of the season can be replaced with achievements.

Elche have the worst defense in the La Liga this season, they have conceded 44 goals, no team in La Liga has conceded up to that, though Almeria have conceded 34 goals and are the second team to have conceded the most goals in La Liga. So i am not shocked that Real Madrid scored 4 goals against Elche yesterday, it could have even been more than 4. Elche have a big problem this season and they are surely going to be relegated, 9 points after 21 games is too bad and there is no way Elche can save their season anymore.

Well for Real Madrid to lose would have been very serious in this case
Elche did what he could with the means he had, in the end what could they do, too much difference in squad, you can't work miracles in certain contexts (like this one)

The difference in terms of the quality of the game and the quality of the players is clearly very significant so something like this is bound to happen.
A sizable win and Benzema re-emerging as a challenger on the top scorer is a very good thing now.

I have a friend that takes Atletico de Madrid very seriously and would never accept any argument about it. I think however that unless it starts getting some serious money in the market, the lame results that it is getting are going to keep comming because is not about this or that player of even the coach, it is more about the other teams getting stronger.

I think however that unless it starts getting some serious money in the market, the lame results that it is getting are going to keep comming because is not about this or that player of even the coach, it is more about the other teams getting stronger.

Everybody knows how atletico madrid plays that they depend on defence and counter attack and other teams know this and know how to play against them so this is why the results are bad for Atletico this season. If they are gonna play like this they need to get players that do this right and not get players that play an attacking style. Not everyone can play atleticos style

This match is quite hard to predict. I just put consistency from team as main thing to determine the chance to win the game. As far as i know, if girona is always having a good statistics at home. I think that girona has more probability to win the game rather than draw against almeria.





From there we can see that girona has good statistics played at home. Meanwhile, Almeria is having horrible statistics to play away. it seems like the chance for draw is quite small. Girona's odds is not too bad at all.
