Athletic Bilbao played worse than I thought and this made things easier for Atletico Madrid. However Atletico Madrid still found the winning goal quite late in the game. And it was really risky to keep a 1-0 score to the end for them but they did it anyway. Athletic Bilbao's main problem was with finding the target as there were only two shots on target in the whole game.

This was an important win for them to keep their advantage of four points against Betis in the standings. There is a really tough fight between these teams for being the last member of top four for now.

Anthoine Griezmann was phenomenal during the game although, there were a few set piece he could have perfected for Memphis Depay which I felt wasn't well done. In the end, they got there 3 points and that's what matters.

In this match Simeone changed his habits a little by carrying out a defensive scheme and preferring to attack and of course this was something good for them.

This is something that Atletico showed very well and with this win they are of course very comfortable with where they are now.

Athletic Bilbao actually had two big opportunities before Atletico Madrid scored the winner. The first one was an absolute goal chance by Dani Garcia after getting a great pass. But he missed the target wide. The other one was a big opportunity by one-on-one against the goalkeeper but Oblak was really good with a save there. Maybe this was like a turning point of the match. Later on Griezmann scored a really impressive goal by carrying the ball amazingly to take the deadly shot.

They could have even scored more goals but wasted the chances. Still the important thing was to get 3 points. Atletico Madrid have increased their unbeaten streak to 6 matches now.

If Barcelona beat Cadiz today (does anyone doubt it?) their odds drop below 1.10, it would take a miracle for Real to overtake them. With Barcelona close to losing United and offloading their game calendar, all they have to do is beat outsiders till the end of the season and secure the title.

Any time I see this kind of odds like that of Barcelona, I get pissed easily because what's the purpose of 1.10 odds, do they expect someone to stake $10k to win $11k, that's just $1k potential win which is a bad investment if one is to make that kind of move, forget the impossibility of Real Madrid taking over that first place, it is way too risky bet to be honest, 1.5 and 8 odds is fair to begin with.

I just wish Real Madrid(I want it happen badly) can just overtake Barcelona, it will humble lots of people and will make bookies rain money on the street because even with the current form of Real Madrid, there are bettors who will stake that odd for Madrid as the Trophy winner.

Regarding the role of Frenkie de Jong, he isn't a must to be the same as Xavi or Iniesta. Every player has their own styles in playing football, we cannot expect de Jong to be the same as Xavi or Iniesta. As long as de Jong can contribute well to the team and he gives good impacts, he deserves to be the main player of Barcelona. Barcelona doesn't need someone like Xavi or Iniesta, Barcelona needs midfielders that will be effective with the current tactic and lineups.

Yeah, looking at the current game it's hard to believe that the match will end 2-0, I think the score will be at least 4-0 if the opponent does not score. Although scoring a goal to Barcelona in this match seems almost unreal, they have the ball most of the time, the current possession is 73 percent, it's amazing, Barcelona does not give a pass
