Marc Guiu's outstanding goal gave the team the victory. This was a great performance from him, and after scoring one minute into the game, he was replaced by Fermin Lopz. That was a strange display from a young player like him at the age of 17, and Xavi will never forget the victory he brought the team. I can see that Barcelona has young talent players. Although I could tell that Athletic Bilbao was a tough opponent for Barcelona to defeat this season due to the absence of some key players like Lewandowski and pedri, but Marc Guiu entered the game in the 79th minute and gave them the victory.  they did manage to win. Just hoping they return before the match against Real Madrid

All three teams are still holding onto their positions in the league, but I continued to be confused as to how Girona managed to strong and defeat some strong opponents this season while winning all of their games thus far. I was just wondering how they would perform against Barcelona and Real Madrid, as I doubt that La Liga will involve many changes this year.

That's the power of Xavi, he came from La Masia so he knows how to watch players there and replace the players they have with others. That's why all the fans of Barcelona ended up on twitter saying "real buys talent, we raise them" and similar stuff.

They do have a young good setup but not like Koeman was using it, all those years between pep and Xavi, we didn't really see a talent coming from Barcelona youth setup, and La Masia suddenly got a lot more attention these days because they ended up with someone like Xavi who knows players there and even coaches and teachers etc, he was raised there so he knows everyone and talks to them one on one and learn about every player. This of course turns into him getting younger players to training, and playing against their big brothers at main squad, and anyone who can show their talents gets attention .That's how he got Balde and Ymal too, and maybe this kid will get more attention too, who knows? Current position with Sevilla dropped to 13th placed actually its easy opponent team for Real Madrid taking three points as top position standings team, but Real Madrid got surprised with solid of Sevilla defense's managed by Sergio Ramos and Madrid have conceded early trough own goals from David Alaba. Its not good result for Real Madrid because current standings their position left with goals productivities from Girona who has the the same 25 points with Real Madrid.

Sevilla not only played well in defense, but their statistics in building attacks were also good compared to Real Madrid. Sevilla managed to record 7 shots on goal which forced Kepa to make 6 saves. Last season they have been impressive up to a certain point and I think this is what they will be working on this season to prevent a severe downturn in their performance and not throw away the great effort of a whole season during the last few weeks. At the moment they are looking great and they are playing great. It is enjoyable to see how they play their fast counter attacks and also how much control they have over the games despite not being the team full of superstars. They are working hard with the means they have available and they are doing this in a way that makes it hard for other teams to keep up with them and beat them.

The cooperation of the Girona players and the coach's ingenuity in utilizing his abilities to maximize the match was clearly visible. Even without star players, Girona proved that there was no reason to perform poorly. This season with 8 wins is unbelievable. Achieving 5 goals from Almeria also made the players more optimistic. So this club has become quite scary in my opinion. Girona this season has given a new face to the La Liga competition and deserves success.

If Girona keeps going at this level, they can almost achieve as many points in the first half of the season as they have achieved in the whole last season. This would make them feel incredibly comfortable for what is to come when the second half of the season starts. Some teams can't maintain those strong performances over an extended period of time, but when you think about it, it should usually set some additional energy and goals free as they have nothing to lose anymore when they are not dealing with the relegation zone at all. I think it could increase their confidence and be more bold with their season objectives.

I can only say impressive! girona keeps showing the consistentcy of its club. This team looked even stronger than atletico madrid this time. Girona may be feeling so difficult in beating the top club like real madrid but it's very consistent in winning the game against weakest team compared with girona itself. The club is still at the second place with only 1 point gap to the real madrid and barcelona. We have a new competitor for the title race here. Girona seems really promising for the future.

I never expect a huge change happened to the girona this fast. Im quite disappointed to see that how girona conceded two goals against almeria which one of worst team in la liga but there points make me feel quite happy with the result.
I think that girona may also being qualified for the UCL next season. The club is only need to be even more consistent in getting three points against the weak team.
