Suddenly Girona returned to being a mediocare team against Real Madrid. Mental defeat is something that can be predicted by Girona players, this gives Real Madrid players greater opportunities to dominate the match. 4 goals without reply is something I didn't expect, but Girona really had a lot going on in this match that made it look like they were just going to give up in the end.

Maybe it's true, Girona is not worthy of being a title challenger this season. Girona have had good performances against other top teams including Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, but if they are not able to beat Real Madrid then they can never win the title. Supporters may need to lower their expectations about their title chances, but they can still hope that Girona can qualify for the Champions League next season.

It seems like Barcelona will find it difficult to find a replacement for Xavi who has typical constructive coaching, I mean Xavi succeeded in building a stronger squad when the financial crisis hit them. Yes, Xavi departure at the end of the season is certain to happen because Xavi announced it at the start of the second half of this season. Xavi job is only to work until the end of this season and there are only two opportunities for them to win the trophy, namely in the Champions League and Laliga. Even though the opportunity is small, they still have hope to achieve it. In my opinion, Xavi's departure will affect the loyalty of Barcelona players to stay with Barcelona next season.

So, if De Jong leaves next season and Lewandowski goes to another team, they will definitely have to make a lot of big changes for next season. But that's just my speculation and let's see their direction for this season while they are still with Xavi.
Barcelona will face Granada this week which will be a very important match for them to win because the two teams above their ranking will face each other. And if Barcelona wins this match and the two teams above their ranking get a draw then Barcelona will get a chance to continue minimize points distance with real madrid and girona.

Xavi has been a good manager at the Spanish side, even though they've had some shaky situations, they've just found a way to cover up lapses and make necessary coverings to the loopholes. It's very much good that they were able to put in good effort regardless of what they lacked to good team building. They're a good squad no doubt but there's still lots of work to be done for them to get back to limelight fully.

 Nonetheless, Xavi would have still done better than he's already done. Well, his days with the team are technically numbered and he's got some commendations which he definitely deserves. I don't know what to say about his intended replacement but all I'll say is Barcelona as a team has work to be done and I'd love to see the new Barcelona in seasons and games to come. Maybe we should be expecting something better than what they've done lately.

Girona should be ready to settle for the second and qualification of the Champions League because Real Madrid with this victory have increased the gap on the table between them and Girona. This may be Girona's best season, because next season Girona may not be this lucky, Barcelona will be back to becoming one of the contenders next season, Girona may not be especially after their star players have been bought by other clubs.

Well now we already know who is the best in Laliga because Real Madrid defeated Girona for the second time this season and now Real Madrid has left Girona with 5 points adrift which means Real Madrid will win the title this season, nfortunately Girona was unable to score a single goal even though they had great players there. Now Girona will focus on maintaining their position to be in the top 4 in order to get a Champions League ticket next season and I'm sure Girona will get it because they are in a safe zone I mean based on points.

I don't understand why Girona can't make one shot on target even though they are playing with the main squad. And also Jude Belllingham managed to score 2 goals in this match while placing his name as a temporary top scorer with 16 goals leave his competitors who are 2 goals adrift, on the other hand Real Madrid does need a win to increase their confidence to face matches in the Champions League next week. The conclusion is the power without enough experience cannot win in a big match except luck with them.

I was very surprised to see the outcome of this match. Four goals difference was a very wide margin I would never had imagined that Real Madrid will beat Girona with. What happened today has just made Real Madrid being the king of La Liga this season and Girona cannot take the league title away from them. After beating so many big teams, they can’t even hold them to a draw, that is very disappointing of them.

About their qualification to the champions league next season, I feel they can still make it there and the defeat today won’t make it to stop them from having that qualification. It was only Real Madrid that is the big team they can’t beat, any other one they have met was beaten by them, so I don’t still see any team that can overtake them from the second position. They fail to stay consistent and you'll see Barcelona overtake them on the La Liga standing. Girona should keep them heads high up last game before the first half ended and the first game in the second half as we all know came as evidence for them to prepare hard. I've seen pictures of them players crying they should buckle up and chase the bigger picture ahead.

Girona are hardworking, if it's finishing in the top four at the end of the season then they can achieve another more come next season. Only worried they're letting too many good players leaving the club.

I believe every lover of good football will now understand that Real Madrid is a very big team, a team that can beat any team no matter the level of form or good performance they are and they proved once again to be the best and favourite to win the league by extending their gap against a Girona team that has been in a decent form this season, beating them comfortably and not allowing them to have a little chance to play with the ball shows how good the Rwal Madrid team has become.
