When it comes to Girona they couldn't beat Alaves yesterday. They got one point. This is a nice opportunity for Barcelona to take the second spot from that. All they have to do is to beat Real Sociedad on this game week.    Finishing as the second wouldn't change so many things for them maybe but still you know.

At the beginning I thought Girona could win perfectly by not giving Alaves a goal, but in reality Alaves was able to score a goal against Girona until the final result was a draw, this is not what I thought. I made a wrong prediction where I thought Girona could beat Alaves decisively, but maybe Alaves played a game that was quite difficult for Girona, even though Girona was able to score the first goal, Alaves could still balance the score. Actually, I think both teams had the same number of opportunities, but these opportunities didn't turn into goals.  Maybe if Girona chances were all goals, they could win.

With Girona draw, of course this is an opportunity for Barcelona. In my opinion, Barcelona must be able to make the best use of this, because this is an opportunity that can benefit them to take their second position. with the next match, I think Barcelona can win, and I hope my prediction is not wrong again.

Of a truth, the current Real Madrid squad the best the club have assembled because we've seen a more talented Real Madrid squad over the years but the truth is that they're still the best team in Spain and no other team comes close in terms of quality including Barcelona. Real Madrid is still competing in the biggest stages in Europe and will play in the final of this season's UEFA Champions League competition after they've already secured the Spanish La Liga title.
Barcelona in the other hand is struggling at the moment and doesn't look like the Barcelona we used to know. There's lack of depth in the Barcelona team and that's I think the club president must do his best to invest hugely in the team when the summer transfer window opens so that Barcelona will be strong and competitive enough to fight for all the trophies they'll play in next season

That is the point and once such a huge gap between the best and the other teams in a league has been established, it often takes a very long time to close that gap again. You can go across all leagues and see that phenomenon. It's standard in the Bundesliga that Bayern wins the title, Ligue 1 same problem with PSG, I think to a certain degree you could argue the same about the Premier League because even when it looks close, Manchester City is most likely the team winning the title, and for now it doesn't look very well for La Liga. I think it is still not that bad as Real Madrid can struggle at times and they did not win the title last season, but if I had to make a guess whether Real Madrid will be snow balling and get better and better or whether Barcelona will soon be able to close the gap again, I think it's more likely that Real Madrid will now be snow balling. If Mbappe joins them and Barcelona will once again be there with empty hands when the new season starts, hard to believe then that Barcelona could outcompete Real Madrid in 38 games.

After the match Mallorca has three matches remaining and they are in position 17th in the table having a six points away from the relegation zone, which am not convinced with the current points gap because it's too small to be maintain due to the current form of the team, both Mallorca and Las Palmas both draw their last two matches against each other, but this time around Mallorca should be able to win Las Palmas because Las Palmas are really facing serious decline in their performance to the extent that they could not even draw a match in their last five matches, they were defeated in the all matches while Mallorca only faces three defeats and draw two, and this is my reason why I said Mallorca should do better than Las Palmas especially when they are the host.

Watching Leicester City lose this season was hard. This shows how quickly sports can change. Yes, Girona may struggle next year. Success in football is difficult, especially for smaller clubs. I worry about next season's pressure and competition, even though they're performing well.

It seems to me that Girona is not the case, given the fact that behind them are the same finances that are behind City. The good thing about Girona's season is that definitely going to finish the season in the top four of the league regardless of whatever result they get in their last league games of the season. It was after the defeated Barcelona last week that it was confirmed that they'll play in the UEFA Champions League competition next season. The club really need to improve and start performing like the Girona team we saw at the start of the current season of they truly want to excel in the UEFA Champions League competition next season

Villarreal vs Sevilla is an interesting game between the two teams and both teams have plenty of attacking efforts. The first half of the game was a much more heated battle between the two teams and the result was a 1-2 goal difference between the two teams, although Sevilla still led by one goal. And the two teams are side by side in the points table, if Sevilla can win today's match, they will certainly be able to occupy the eighth position in the points table. Moreover, a win for Villarreal will change their position in the points table, if the two teams meet again after half-time and are attacking brilliantly. Especially in today's match, Villarreal is trying hard at their home ground, if they can make a strong attack to level the game, then the match will definitely be a draw. The thing I hope to see from Sevilla board is to keep their current manager for the next season as well. Even though they are away, I was expecting them to be given small odds because it is expected that they will easily win the match.
