I don’t really how to classify Atletico Madrid performances recently, watching their game you will notice that they have improved and they play well but then there is still something missing in their game that stops them from winning tough games like this. They got eliminated by Real Madrid in the champions league despite having one of the best performance and now they lost woefully to Barcelona despite having a 2 goal lead at past 70’ minutes of the game. I thought it was game over for Barcelona but after they got one goal back I knew something interesting was about to happen but u never expected the match to end 2-4 in favor of Barcelona.

Lewa's goal ignited the whole team. When the score was 2-2, the Atletico players froze. At that point, it was clear that Barca would win the game. They made a historic comeback. Atletico normally have an excellent defense but in this game they couldn't do anything in the last 20 minutes.

The first goal ignited them and then Lewandowski’s goal demoralized Atletico players but I thought the game was to end draw. It was an historic moment for Barcelona and a match to not forget for the both sides. As a Real Madrid fan, I can’t deny the strength and great performance of Barcelona lately, especially with the most important role of Flick in choosing the right players, doing the correct changes when the team is losing or missing out the key to win. I believe that it wasn’t really Simone’s fault that Atletico Madrid lost the match, but after the first goal from Barcelona, I felt like the whole team of Atletico Madrid was going through a distress situation and disorganized the whole defensive live.

For years Atletico Madrid is playing the same way, and I remember seeing the same scenario with this team when they play against strong teams like Barcelona or Real Madrid. The main issue is with their old tactics of defending too much and depending only on counterattacking once they score a goal, and the players alone cannot make a consistent difference if the coach doesn’t really give them orders and command them to create chances.
It’s weird to see the team having the same defeats over and over again, and the coach is not even trying to change his tactics. The same thing goes with Ancelotti too, when we see Real Madrid team suffers from a loss during the game, or some players are committing mistakes several times, stubborn coaches like these are not doing any changes, I believe just because they don’t want to show their tactics failing but instead, they make it look as the players’ fault.

Barcelona performance yesterday was really incredible, because when I first saw the 1:0 first half in favor of Atletico de Madrid I almost concluded that Barcelona was not going to win the match because of the form Atletico de Madrid have this season but i was very shocked when I checked the score this morning, only for me to see 2:4 full time in favor of Barcelona men I didn't believe my eyes,  this is a sign that they really want the La Liga trophy by all means but the problem is can they maintain the position because the point difference is small, they are leading the table now with a goal difference though they still have an outstanding to play.

I thought Barcelona would not return to the top of the standings for a while, but unexpectedly they performed amazingly before the match really ended, so they won again and got 3 full points from Atletico Madrid.

That is really funny lol, what happened in that match was  just a proof that Barcelona is more inform than them and apparently we know that Barcelona has more form and they are kinda eager to win the La Liga trophy and they are already leading now and if not for those nonsense and set back and some level of inconsistency they were having by now they would have been topping with a huge point difference but they are still doing well, Initially I knew they would win Atletico de Madrid and I played them to win straight but the game I added cut my ticket.

It was a harsh week for Atletico. They got ugly exit from UCL, then fuckin lost to the Barcelona after they lead the game with two goals. They lost their mentality in matters of minutes after subs happened.

The positive is that the lost against Barcelona was not completely erasing their chance for the title. They have 4 points gap with 9 - 10 games remaining. It's still possible to get back into the title race as long as their rivals make some mistakes in the upcoming fixtures.

If they're still willing to compete for the title, no more mistakes allowed.

It was really a very poor defending from Atletico Madrid because i normally praise their defense as the strongest in the La Liga but the seem to be falling apart if not they should not have conceded those goals especially the ones that came in the added time after Barcelona equalized 2:2 before 90 minutes. I know that Barcelona's attack was very forceful in the second half but Atletico's defenders could have learnt from their Copa Del Ray game against Barcelona so they could have avoided the mess at all cost. Being defeated 4 times already in this month shows that Atletico Madrid has really declined from how they were performing before Barcelona took over the top again. Well since the defeat came from Barcelona it is understandable instead of it to be a mediocre team that humiliated them at their own home.

Historical dominance still place a huge roles in Barcelona and Real Madrid games with Atletico. I mean for years now, Simeone isn't the only coach that has carried this club for years, there are other people that has carried it with their whole body and soul but anytime they have match against Real Madrid and Barcelona, they lose to them because of this historica Derby thing, each team play like it's a norm and culture not lose and you can see how they play aggressively like their life depend on it.

Yeh that's right barcelona delivered quite sunsentional performance with pretty decent comeback, I really appreciate their performance they were two goals behind but their team delivered super crazy performance at last moments to make sure thier comeback. Looking to first half Barcelona played a balance fight, but before break time alvarez goal make 1-0. And then soon as the second half started atlatico scored one more goal. But then with passage of time match shifted to another angle from here as lewendoski opened the scoring lock a few minutes later, and then within blink of eye barcelona turned the tide of the match and won the match by huge margin of 4-2. That match is truly admirable, Barcelona delivered a quite significant performance and maintained their league position to be the leader continue on.
