Now Barcelona have 3 points lead in the league table behind real Madrid. And next moving on ... Barcelona will face Atlético for the Domistic Cup battle. If think it's quite hard to predict because both team are looking so strong. But anyway let see what happens next....

I am guessing that Barcelona will have no chance of losing any of their matches until May 11th, at most they can draw some matches, but I don't think they will lose any of them so far. So, if you calculate their points from these matches, you will see that they will be much ahead of the others not only just Real Madrid

Right now, Barcelona is just three points ahead of  Real Madrid, but I think we will see this gap increase further in the future. Although, if Real Madrid also have win on the next matches maybe in that case we own going to see much difference between Barcelona and Real Madrid.

I honestly thought Real Madrid was about to lose. When the game became 1-2 that was the moment I thought it would either end with a Real Madrid loss, or it would end with a tie at the very best case for Real Madrid. I did not believe that we would see a comeback but Real Madrid managed to make it happen.

With  the way things are going for them and how many games they are playing and how many players were on national team, it was estimated that Real Madrid would have been very very tired, which wasn't wrong and proven by the fact that they barely got the win here. If they keep this form going then they have a chance to win the league, but at the same time they need to figure out a way to rest some of their players too.

As a Real Madrid fan, I was also worried about the result, but in fact, Real Madrid had a large margin of safety, even if you look at the timing of the goals, they still had time to score more. When I saw that Real Madrid was losing and it wasn't even the second half, I thought I should bet on Real Madrid. But the odds, even when the second half was already underway, were about 1.75 and this seemed too modest a reward for the risk. As you can see, even the bookmakers were confident in Real Madrid.

If it was Girona last season I could still hope more for them but for Girona now actually Barcelona's victory for me is not too much of a surprise because after all we must be aware that for Girona this season the performance although still a little better but quite far when compared to last season.

But it is indeed very good for Barcelona where they are quite capable of remaining consistent in their conditions which are only given a short break but their dominance still does not slacken.
Currently, it is certain that they are 3 points ahead of Madrid in the remaining matches that are getting thinner. This is an advantage for Barcelona but not for Madrid because they must continue to be consistent while hoping that Barcelona will have problems that allow them to get closer so that the competition continues to occur with tight points.

Well organized teams in any league come back in the second half to do well and for those teams that are not strong, come back with more weakness. Real Madrid is a strong team and can't be scored anyhow.

Real Madrid is strong no doubt because even in some big clubs they still use to do come back, I think they have done it to Chelsea, Manchester city and some others I can't really remember in the champions league but sometimes it doesn't work so allowing a team to first lead is not a good idea or strategy because not all team will allow you to come back and win from behind, I think Real sociedad did it to Real Madrid this season after scoring 2:1 I guess they sealed everywhere and Real Madrid couldn't penetrate and it ended that 2:1 full time.

The match between Real and Leganes yesterday was much more difficult, they barely managed to snatch victory at the end of the match.

Honestly, I don't understand why Real Madrid players are playing so badly in the last few games. They have been winning games, but their performance on the field is not good. They struggled to win against Leganes, and they struggled to win against Villareal.


Results of today's games:

Betis 2 - 1 Sevilla (Betis is unstoppable, they haven't lost in the last 5 games and are now in 6th place)

Valencia 1 - 0 Mallorca (Valencia is recovering, they are far from the relegation zone)

Ath Bilbao 0 - 0 Osasuna (I expected Bilbao to win, I'm surprised by this result)

Barcelona 4 - 1 Girona (Barcelona has been the team with the best quality on the pitch this season)

Getafe 1 - 2 Villareal (Villareal has been playing well this season)

In this round the results of the games did not affect the top positions much, there is still a very difficult fight regarding who will win La Liga, Real Madrid will have a very easy game in their next game, so I see them winning, while Barcelona will have 2 difficult games, the first will be a game against Atlético Madrid for the Copa del Rey, then it will be a La Liga game against Betis.

In the first match of the day, Villarreal managed to win 2-1 away from home.We can say that they struggled against Getafe, but they managed to win and increase their points to 47.We can say that they are still in the race for 4th place despite having 1 game less.
Barcelona, on the other hand, did not make a mistake. Getafe and Villarreal are almost of strength so their meeting is expected to be a tough match full of entertainment. The match did not disappoint the spectators and the cheerful crowd. If I were to bet on that match, my choice would have been a score draw because I know both sides will record at least a goal each. I can also bet on both teams to score which would have also worked out well although the odd was not that big.

Villarreal were able to win the match because they have the intention of playing the Europa league next season and they are dragging that spot with Real Betis that is only ahead of them on goal difference. The fight is not over and I will be careful of betting against both teams that are in this fight.

Girona is back to being a mediocre team, they failed to maintain their impressive performance like last season. I think the reason for their decline in performance is due to mistakes in the transfer market, the rest is probably because they don't have a good mentality. Girona is currently ranked 13th in the standings and only has 34 points from 29 matches, they are closer to the relegation zone than to the European zone. Most recently Girona lost badly to Barcelona with a score of 4-1, and with that result they have failed to win in 7 consecutive matches. A very ironic condition, and I just hope they can survive in La Liga next season.

I blame Girona’s management for the teams decline in form and performance. Just because they had one fantastic season not even that they won the league (maybe to them that was like winning the league). Because football is business They decided to sell off their best players offloading almost all the first eleven, they didn’t even get good replacement talk more of better. Their aim was just to make gains from their players without thinking of next season. The Team Spirit of Girona right now is very poor, hopefully it improves before the end of the season.

I think they’ll survive LaLiga this season and probably do better next season if they learn from this, Sevilla is another team that’s struggling with all their new signings.

Barça are better chanced to lift the trophy this season, the players are showing that they deserve it on the pitch, no excuses , Madrid escaped their last game by the bell fighting through their teeth.

Atletico Madrid's inconsistency is always overshadowing them. Their performance have dropped so hard since they get very very strict fixtures, and most probably affect their performance against Espanyol. They're having small odds (1.69), and have big gap compared to the espanyol.

I'm sure many believe they will win the game without getting struggle, but their head to head has told us how they always unable in beating Espanyol. They always getting draw in the last three games in a row. It shows how the result of this match is totally unpredictable.

Yet, i think betting on double chance is a safe bet, but the odds offered by it is pretty small though. Eventhough the risk is high, i still bet on it.

Espanyol are close to the relegation zone. But they have good results at their home matches. They haven't lost their last 8 home games. They've drawn with Athletic Bilbao, Girona. And they beat Real Madrid. They have very good results in home matches. On the other hand, Atletico Madrid continue to claim the title. But they've lost their last two league games. your prediction is very good my honest friend I did not expect in that match Atletico Madrid would play less than satisfactory and honestly I thought Atletico Madrid would win in that match and surely not a few people predicted that Atletico Madrid would win. and in that match I favored Atletico Madrid because I was sure that when Atletico Madrid left the Champions League it made me sure that Atletico Madrid would focus more on La Liga and would compete closely with Real Madrid and Barcelona.

but yes it is true that now Atletico Madrid's hopes of winning the trophy are far away due to this match because the points achieved are not optimal. but now the difference in points between Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid and Barcelona is 6 points and of course this is an amount that will definitely be difficult for Atletico Madrid to catch up with. but of course if Lenglet had not committed a violation maybe Atletico Madrid would have won.

Never doubted him from the beginning he was always a player that looks to succeed at Real Madrid because his style of play suits the team’s style perfectly. At the start of the season he struggled, his consistency was being questioned by many, he wasn’t ready to accept the change of role and wanted to be the entertainer he used to be at PSG, he wanted to show his skillful talent but his new role doesn’t permit that so he struggled but I am happy that at the end he later figured that he can’t be the same player he used to be and will have to accept his new role  if he wants to succeed. He would have easily gone ahead of Lewandowski if he had started well.

Honestly, I don't understand why Real Madrid players are playing so badly in the last few games. They have been winning games, but their performance on the field is not good. They struggled to win against Leganes, and they struggled to win against Villareal.

I thought I was the only one that noticed the poor performance from them, even though they win matches they are not winning them convincingly and this has actually made Barcelona look better looking like the champions of the league already. Compared to Barcelona they are not really performing well and if they are not careful they may end up losing one of their matches which will put Barcelona in a cruising lead.

I think that Cristiano Ronaldo reached 33 goals in 35 matches, he was scoring almost 1 goal per match, Mbappé reached the same amount of goals playing almost 10 games more than Cristiano. Oh, and Cristiano had way more assists than Mbappé. It's a very good achievement anyway but Cristiano would give you a different vibe from Mbappé, you really had the feeling he could do whatever he wanted, I don't see that with Mbappé.

It was a pretty impressive penalty and it should have been a bit dangerous if it hadn't gone in as Real Madrid were still losing at the time.
But Mbappe's composure in converting the penalty was superb and Real Madrid came back from the deficit as they started to play more effectively in the second half.
The highlights when he first joined were normal as it took him a while to adapt to playing much better and now he is slowly starting to prove himself.

He will be in his own version and I hope Mbappe gets the place to reach the best of his career with Real Madrid so that he will have more success with his teammates.

This draw against espanyol is a killer blow to the title aspiration of this atletico madrid side, and due to the point difference between them and Barcelona that are on top of the league shows that it's not just a draw, it's a draw that felt like losing because their title chances is practically over from here.
They can't be drawing teams like espanyol when they are seriously lacking behind in point, and expect to still be in the title race, Barcelona and real madrid have already open up a big gap,  so in my own opinion their is no way they can win the league title this season, considering the form of this two teams above them and their own present form which is actually not good for a team that want to be crown champions at the end of the season, what Diego Simeone should be doing now is to try and finish the season strong, and after that he should prepare them for next season title assault, because as it stands now this season, their title hopes is practically over.

You're right, the two teams started well from the beginning of this season till now that made people to believed on Barcelona and Real Madrid to be the team to lift the la Liga league trophy. With this current beaten Barcelona have given to Girona to secure 4 goals, show that they are stronger than Real Madrid now because they are toping Real Madrid with 3 points for people to know Barcelona is in the right direction to win this trophy.

I agree with you that Barcelona is stronger than Real Madrid in this season, because they have beaten Real Madrid many times in this season to prove to people, how solid their defense, midfield and attacking level is to challenge any team in this season to secure victory.
