It was really important match for Real Madrid because they are just the 9 point behind Barcelona and still they are in hope to get the top spot or even finish it with current point difference. El Classico is also is on the way and definitely Real Madrid will be in hope of top spot like they will think that if Barcelona dope any point then it would be a good opportunity to chase them but I think it is impossible...

Besides that if we talked about state and figure than obviously match was one sided like only Real Madrid was the dominator of the match wether it's in possession or it's in shot on net. First goal was scored by Killyan Mbappe and second goal scored by Vinicus and Al last Alves made 2-1.

It doesn't not matter that much anymore. The remaining matches Real Madrid are playing are more like club friendlies. Testing their potential for next season and perhaps also see which departments are lacking. I don't think there is any way Barcelona is going to let that gap get smaller given that it's the only trophy they also hope to win

Real Madrid winning the tittle or even drawing points with Barcelona is a far stretch. Inasmuch as Real Madrid and Barcelona will be facing off in the El Clasico, even if Barcelona loses to Real Madrid, Real Madrid still doesn't have a  chance unless Arbeloa comes with another strategy because what I saw in that few minutes I tuned into the match showed that Real Madrid are lacking something regardless of them being in possession. Whilst Barcelona are looking as strong as ever now that the busy schedule has been cut short, Barcelona are surely winning it.

Finally, Real Madrid has recorded a win just almost one full month of not recording any win. The last time Real Madrid won a match was on 22nd March against bitter rivals Atletico Madrid 3 - 2 and since then, Real Madrid hasn't recorded any win both in the league and Champions League after playing 4 straight matches. Lost to Mallorca, lost to Bayern Munich in the first leg of the champions league, drew to Giron and again lost to Bayern Munich in the second leg. Today they finally won after 4 matches. 6 more matches for them to play after playing today and Barcelona has 7 more matches to play with 6 points ahead, for me it's all over for them, let them just play and win knowing that their season is already over.

I don't think it matters that much anymore. Real Madrid lost their title chances after failing to win in the last 2 games. From here on, even if they win all their remaining matches including El Clasico, they still won't become champions. Their performances aren't encouraging either. They even struggled to beat Alaves.
Maybe next year if they bring in a better manager than Arbeloa, they can do a rebuild. But I've seen Mourinho being mentioned in the news, I don't think he can be successful there anymore.

You're right. Atletico Madrid's loss to Real Sociedad, had nothing to do with them focusing on the UCL. They've not just been that perfect like most of us thinks. Too many inconsistent performances throughout the season... Losing games that they were the favorites.

This Copa del Rey was literally the easiest trophy for them, because they already sorted out the hard part, by eliminating Barcelona. Arsenal's performance in the UCL has been their best so far, so I doubt if this Atletico Madrid even stands a chance. And assuming they go on to defeat Arsenal_{(which I doubt)}, the final is definitely going to a living hell for them.

It's a big disappointment for Atletico Madrid to lose to Real Sociedad in Copa Del Rey final because it was easiest trophy for them to lift this season which they messed up. Assuming they win Copa Del Rey trophy it would've been a motivation for them in the champions league, but as it stands now nobody trust them that they are going to defeat Arsenal in the semi final. It's possible that Atletico Madrid might have a good performance to eliminate Arsenal, but facing either Bayern Munich or Paris Saint Germain is going to be the most challenging game for them this season, which I believe they cannot withstand that pressure.

They won but I believe some players weren't ok with the way they played, honestly the Madrid we see today is the poorest base on performance, they kept struggling to beat even the team at the bottom. Fine, we know Alaves are always standing tall when they see any big side even if they lose they make sure of not making it easy for them and Madrid is the best candidate to frustrate. They were luckily that Alaves didn't get the first goal if not it they (Madrid) would have been struggling to get a draw, that's how they operate these days and if care is not taken they might drop point maybe in their next game, I can't applaud them for what they showed on the pitch tonight.

Real Madrid got a win tonight, two goals to one with both goals coming from Vinicius Junior and Kylian Mbappe. Real Madrid are already out in the league title race more likely and are not in any chance of winning any trophy this season but they will continue to strive for the remaining three points in the coming games thereby keeping their second position at least.

Not winning a trophy doesn't mean they will slack off in their coming games. This is Real Madrid although they are currently passing through some challenges and  also inconsistencies.

Although this victory did not really change anything but at least 3 points they managed to get and something like this was awaited after their last 4 matches did not go well.  This might not have a big impact on the standings as they're still not in a great situation and might end up back in the runners up but they need to keep the points up so that the gap isn't too far as this is clearly their only hope.

With this win there are at least 6 points between them and Barcelona in terms of difference although Barcelona are also likely to get 3 points against Celta at Camp Nou today.

Barcelona haven't lost their La Liga game at home and they are going to play Celta Vigo tomorrow and I'm having this feeling that their could be an upset that Barcelona could lose. Madrid have been pretty poor in performance and the goals and energy to get things right is no longer their and you can't say they're going to beat any team at home without struggling. Celta Vigo are a very good side and I'm seeing it this way, Madrid are going to win their game against Alaves to reduce the point gap to 6pt while on Wednesday this could happen, for Barcelona to suffer their first league defeat against Celta at home.

Don't get your hopes up too much, I think Barcelona won't lose this match. Since they've already been eliminated from the Champions League, they're focused on their only remaining achievement: winning the Spanish league title. To win that title, they won't drop points against smaller teams like this. Real Madrid made this mistake a lot this year, but Barcelona didn't lose points like that very often. That's why they're actually leading, even though they lost to Real Madrid.

True, Barcelona didn't lose much point last year and they only have the La Liga title left so they need to enjoy the ride but still the very confidence in them can cost them the 3pt if care is not taken, Madrid won their game today and I'm waiting to see Barcelona do the opposite tomorrow against Celta Vigo, honestly this is something that looks impossible base on what you said about Barcelona trying to keep winning games but it couldn't be that the 3pt is never going to them. We should underestimate Celta Vigo and they're not a small club if you ask me, since this season they have been doing everything possible to stay close to the top 4, from the scale of 1-10 I'd say 7 for their efforts this season, 6th on the log is still an impressive position for Celta so let's wait and see how the game would end and I'm going to bet on Celta Vigo to win tomorrow.

If you are saying that Arsenal will remove Atletico Madrid in the Champions League just because Arsenal won them at the early stage of the Champions League I think you are joking because when Arsenal won Atletico Madrid in the Champions League, Arsenal were far better than Atletico Madrid then while Atletico Madrid were struggling at that time to win matches but right now Arsenal is experiencing decline in performers and they are finding it so hard to win matches while Atletico Madrid is in a good shape and form more than Arsenal at the moment, so I believe Atletico Madrid has a good chance of removing Arsenal and set up a final with either Bayern Munich or PSG.

Arsenal's performance is currently not very good, but in my opinion, Atletico Madrid is also not performing well. Because basically, Real Madrid is currently quite far behind Barcelona in terms of points, so winning this match will clearly lighten Real Madrid's burden a bit. Because if Real Madrid loses or draws in this match,, it will certainly make Real Madrid's hopes of returning to the top of the standings even more dashed.

This game was just a mere formality because real madrid knows that their faith has been decided already, so they are only playing this game like a friendly game because if they have any choice of forfeiting it, they are going to do it because they knows that their season is almost over, since Barcelona are leading the laliga chart by a mile, so the best thing they can do for themselves is to use this few games to experiment something new and to look into where needs more strengthening during the summer transfer window.

But for that to happen they need to keep on winning, they have been winning for a while and they need to keep it going.

Or is it just a serendipitous harmony that exert following the individual brilliance of these players on the pitch. Real Madrid are still hoping for the La Liga title this season and it's not over until it's over. This is Real Madrid I grew up watching, a club where they designated themselves to be title winners and never going to reduce any form of standards.

There is no motivation at all for Real Madrid right now, I think, they can already be assured of finishing this season without any titles and the remaining La Liga matches are only played without any targets that make them motivated and the 2-1 win against Alaves, I think, is quite reasonable because of the significant difference in quality between the two teams and I even think that narrow win is very disappointing, and especially I experienced a betting loss because I bet on a -1.5 handicap for Real Madrid, but now I realize that for the remaining matches of this season, it is indeed better not to bet on Real Madrid anymore.
