Ethereum: 2017 vs 2019

I think 2017 was the golden year for Ethereum because that year ETH started with the price of $9 and finished almost $1K. Surely, people who invested in Ethereum made a huge profit. Now in 2019 Ethereum price dropped to $172 which indicates very poor performance from ETH. But, honestly, I take this positively because I believe Ethereum can hit $1K again in a year. So, buying ETH now would be surely profitable. Within mid-2020 ETH will hit $1000, mark my words.

Correct, was late on investing though, I think it was around $300-$400 when I did enter Ethereum's market. But it still gives me a good profit 2018 when it touches it's all-time-high. Those are the days.

But we all know that Ethereum is still the best performing assets in altcoin. It went very hard just like the rest of the bunch, but it doesn't mean it cannot go as high as $1k in the future. It's just base on timing in crypto, right now though it is best to throw some money and put in Ethereum and just wait for it to bounce. It just needed once catalyst and maybe the plan Ethereum 2.0 in January 2020 will be the one.

The difference is the market is no longer the same back in 2017. Investors are now wiser and make their investments more secure, unlike before where everyone are hopers that the bull will bring things up in a short period of time. Everything now is all about how you do your research and how you will analyze the progress of the project to support.

ETH will always be a good option after Bitcoin, having a good amount of money that you are willing to take the risk would add up to your advantage.

i don't get how some people still believe this after all this time! specially old members who should know better based on their experience.
a coin like ethereum that only thrived on hype and nothing else, has a lot of serious issues and to top it all it has an unlimited supply can not even be considered a half good investment let alone an option after bitcoin. there simply is no long term potential of growth for such a coin.

Comparison of Ethereum year 2017 with the current? This may be different, but we no one knew that by the end of the year 2019, Ethereum could possibly be like Ethereum in the year 2017.

The season of Altcoins that many predictions will happen in 2019, but until now has not happened. My hope that this year 2019 is still left a few months so that with that time the value of Ethereum can continue to increase.

Maybe there is a big difference on its value between 2017 and 2019 but it's better to make a good comparison in 2018 as it's the time when ETH hit its ATH at almost $1400. Compared to the current price now which is only $180, it looks very bad if you will sell, but if you understand how this market works, its trends, you would not feel this big dump.

Maybe let's compare again in 2020 or in 2021 as I'm pretty sure ETH will be back again at $1,000 or more.

You are right. Despite the drastic decline, ETH has considerable market power. Moreover, the technology has been widely adopted by developers, the benefits are very broad so that with this good network ETH can still survive and will again reach record high prices.

I have felt the highest price increase of ethereum in the end of 2017 until the beginning of 2018. I sold ethereum to FIAT and got a lot of amazing profits. But after the price of bitcoin dropped very dramatically, ethereum also experienced a remarkable decline. We hope that in 2020 after Ethereum 2.0 is launched, ethereum prices will improve and reach their highest prices again.

I agree to you dude ethereum is one of a powerful and useful project network in the market no doubt it will survive in the future we can see now a decline on price but again this is normal in cryptoworld and I still believe ethereul price will be back to normal in that case and if you believe in ethereum future just buy more and hold.

A big improvement for ethereum in this two years , from tech develop to price action and furthermore switching to stake wich is the future even if some of us don't like this. There is a huge documentary explaining how bitcoin pow will need too much electricity power in order to sustain the network.

Why did you convert all of your ETH to the BTC ? In 2017, all crypto coins were having a high value in the market.
If we compare crypto now with crypto in 2017, it seems crypto is not profitable anymore because the value has going down about 90%.

I don't think investors know the future, people are just trying to think about the most positive situations for their investment and here, they are trying to create a sense of security when they predicted that ethereum would rise higher in subsequent years. Guys, I think earlier than 2020 with ethereum nothing really will be decided as well as its cost will be at about the same level as now.

Ethereum is the perfect variant to invest in. ETH team has surprised everybody already. We can hear about the launch of the test network this month already. It will work for 3-4 months before the deployment of the main network. There, users will be able to transfer their Ether through a deposit contract. The estimated launch date for the main net is January 2020.
 However, these are just updated information about Ethereum 2.0.

A lot of people are getting disappointed in ETH and it is totally understandable. While BTC is raising and making another 50 percent price increase, ETH is struggling to achieve at least 200 bucks per coin which makes me think that it should be replaced by a more competitive coin.

Thats too much for a prediction it was very impossible to happen in 2020, to be honest im an Ethereum fan so i believe that Ethereum will bounch back in the near future. but it will not reached in that prediction level thats too much and just more like a fantasy to me base on that article thats too good to be true that was base on my opinion.
