Aside from that, this is because we do have different mindset, priorities, like and dislikes, for some it is easy for them to set up mining rigs as this is their line of work, for some, they love investing as they love analyzing numbers, market and they do have time to do this and this fit their preference. So, for me there is nothing wrong with it, for as long as we are doing something that our future will thank for whether mining or investing, both has potential to make money.

I also think this is more about preferences than anything else, mining may seem attractive to some if they have low electricity costs, this is not the case where I live and I do not want to worry about the depreciation of my equipment and worry about when to replace it.

And while I do not invest in icos I am a small investor and I prefer many times to do that than to mine coins, but I also understand those that like mining may not like to worry about every single movement of the market and what it could mean like I do.

I like investing and mining but since bear market started mining have not been profitable as before so i just abandoned my mining rigs and focus on investing in new IEO projects from top exchanges

I really don't think that comparing them will do any good. Both have their own share of difficulty and downsides. You said you prefer mining because you don't have to wait to get profit? But miners do wait for the time when the prices are high enough to meet their expenses from running that expensive ring and internet bills. You already said that you hold coins, so technically you wait for greater profit. We all have our strengths in the field of crypto industry we are part of. So, I am begging you not to make other jobs here less superior than yours. Comparisons, knowing their pros and cons are great takeaways, but there are many ways to convey them. Agree, i'm still mining too. I mine GRIN. I joined in 5 ICOs in this year and three of them have scammed me and one of them still don't get listed in any matket. Maybe the money that i have invested in scam icos is enough to make another mining rig. I will stop investing in ICO and keep mining to get some profit.

Indeed mining attracts more people. Coins that are minted usually have a quite favorable price. In contrast to ICO which is more speculative, in my opinion the ICO market is now different from a few years ago where many good projects were produced

Ive stop mining and investing as well, i have my bags full of altcoins that i plan to hold for years, new projects are not so good anymore and even ICO projects of 2017 are now mostly useless, i still hunt for good altcoin but only in bounties, if the project is good enough i might add them to my collections

Some ICO and IEO,s hurts by selling below price while some would even dump on investors unless a good project after series of investigations or a project on a good Exchange. but mining gives profit as you have nothing to loose though tasking and time consuming but ones you mine a good tokens you are sure and certain on selling and making money. I do not know how to mine bitcoins and ethereum that is why I can't say anything about it. I also do not invest in altcoins by directly buying and trading it from an exchange but I do know how to join bounty campaigns in order to earn and receive altcoins as payment. Yes, I do agree that some ICOs (most of them to be honest) turns out to be a scam, and believe me, I experienced it so many times, but it doesn't stop me from investing my time and knowledge doing this kind of work.
