Just watching in the Saints game, looking forward to the match-up between two QBs at the opposite ends of their careers. Brees is all class, Watson, interesting to see how he develops this year.
Good luck with your moneyline bet.
I love the Saints in their dome, they know how to play in it better than anyone. Also with Houston they got some pretty new pieces to their team so we'll see. I love Watson's game and I think the x factor for them is if fuller can stay healthy for a full year, if so they gonna be lethal.

Agree, at his best he looks like he has so much time, willing to wait for his receivers to get free, old head on young shoulders and all that.

I really need Duke Johnson to put up some big numbers this game!
I have Hyde on the bench just in case.

Great thread. Sports gambling is one of the main reasons I really got into Bitcoin years ago. It was fun to watch almost every betting site eventually adopt it over the years. Nowadays it seems the Bitcoin bonuses are typically the most aggressive on sites bc the owners are really seeing the value it adds for them and the customer.

Good to see you and Lambie out here. This reminds me, we should also include fantasy team talk, which is also a form of gambling if your league has money on the line. Lucky enough for me Michael Thomas slightly outperformed his projected and I squeezed out the Week 1 V in my league. Pretty happy with this week's outcome. Rams won, and my fantasy team won. Can't ask for much more. Funny anecdote: I just moved to a new city in the Philippines, found a white guy with an American accent who lived in my building, asked him where I could find a local sports bar that was open in the morning and played the NFL games. He was totally clueless. I was thinking to myself, what? An American, early-to-mid 50s, doesn't like the NFL? It turns out he's Canadian After tomorrows games I'll put up a new poll.

I have found more and more (in my limited scope of talking to people across the county about football) that a lot of people are no longer watching live games / going to sports bars to watch / even going to the local bar to watch. They DVR it and watch it on their own time. Last night was a perfect example, casual restaurant, 4 (5?) TVs all turned on to the games. Nobody, really watching. More glancing. Seems to be a trend. I know I do it with racing. DVR the entire thing, FF though commercials, FF through the announcer babble, just watch the race. -Dave

Where I'm from all bars are dieing or dead in the last 30 years. The politicians strong armed them all into putting cops at the doors at exorbitant rates so they couldn't afford to stay open. And of course it led to everyone getting pulled over every fucking night for those that wouldn't pay the extortion racket.

Brees is def the best in the biz when it comes to last minute scoring drives. Backed up on the 20 with 30 seconds left somehow he gets them in fringe fg position....crushing loss for houston. Definately game of the week (although I didnt watch the arizona/det, and jets/Bill's game )

Definately game of the week (although I didnt watch the arizona/det, and jets/Bill's game ) It certainly was! Although that roughing the kicker penalty that saved Houston so that the Saints had to drive to win was bullshit. I guess that could not be challenged? I can't keep up with what is challengable anymore, they should just make anything challengable period. Jets/Bill's was meh, 2 shitty teams with a couple of nice plays (10 second highlight reel and you watched the whole game) and arizona/det I only saw the highlights on redzone but Lions are still the lions and cards are better but not going to be a threat to anything except a better than losing record this year. Larry Fitz looked like his old self though for a few plays and I havn't seen that ion over 5 or 6 years. I'm not sure if it's because of substandard coverage or not but it was impressive enough for me to put a waiver in for him.

And of course it led to everyone getting pulled over every fucking night for those that wouldn't pay the extortion racket. Wow, where are you? I'll have to keep away... The issue around here is that big TVs have gotten cheap, and bars have stopped the cheap food and drinks during the game. It used to be you could go with 4 or 5 or 6 friends, have some wings / nachos / bar food and hang out for a few hours for $30 to $40 AT MOST PER PERSON Now at least in the middle of the road places you are looking at $50+ (tax / tip included) 6 people kicking in $35 each can go to someones house have better beer / get some decent (not great) food delivered / chips / etc. and watch on your own 50+ inch screen. Want to rewind, click the button. Want to watch a different game for a few minutes fine. Everyone puts in 10 minutes cleanup at the end as you leave and done. Make a bit of a mess everyone kick in $10 for a cleaning person to show up for an hour during the week. -Dave

AB should check himself in a psychiatric clinic first, he needs therapy, not football if you ask me. All his bullshit of late, i'm surprised Patriots took a chance on him. Which locker-room needs all this drama? Dude got to training camp on a hot-air balloon with frostbite feet. lmao With the Super Bowl winning New England Patriots signing Antonio Brown to 1-year $15 million, its no shock to see the change in odds From 7.4 to 5.7 after news of the agreement One more reason why people should go with either Rams or Chiefs. While there is no doubt that Antonio Brown has issues off and on the field to me this seems like a power move, as soon as the Raiders tried to mess with his guaranteed money he wanted out since he knew the New England Patriots were waiting for him, however he does not seem to understand that the Patriots do not really need him and have all the leverage, they crushed the Steelers very easily and if for some reason he begins to behave as he has done recently they will just cut him and it is very likely that other general managers will think that if Belichick cannot control him then no one can and his career could finish prematurely.

OK, I found a game for the new poll, its the Battle of the Birds: 09/15 8:20 PM [287] PHILADELPHIA (-1.5) [288] ATLANTA (+1.5) Going forward I'm going to pick games for the poll based on: - how close they are to being even - how interesting they are on a general level - how interesting they are to me Polls are based on ML (win or lose) only, not spreads. I have Carson Wentz as my fantasy QB, so I'm going with Philadelphia on that basis. Which I do realize isn't a basis at all, but nonetheless (for some reason spellcheck says its "nonetheless" but I've always pronounced it "non-the-less"... oh well). Hope to be able to watch this one in real-time. It used to be you could go with 4 or 5 or 6 friends, have some wings / nachos / bar food and hang out for a few hours for $30 to $40 AT MOST PER PERSON
Now at least in the middle of the road places you are looking at $50+ (tax / tip included)
6 people kicking in $35 each can go to someones house have better beer / get some decent (not great) food delivered / chips / etc. and watch on your own 50+ inch screen. Want to rewind, click the button. Want to watch a different game for a few minutes fine.
Damn, that's nuts. One of the things that attracted me to the Philippines was the extremely cheap cost of living. $20 (1000 pesos) is like a nice dinner for two with drinks. The most I've ever spent on a meal is about $30, and that's including a generous tip, which is never necessary, but I suspect always appreciated. Of course there is a 12 hour time zone difference between here and the east coast, so the latest games start around 10:30 AM. The Eagles / Falcons game therefore starts at 8:20 AM -- not exactly drinking hours. But you can get a nice breakfast with fresh brewed coffee (something of a rarity here) for about $4-$5, or less if you find the right spots. If you go to an American-owned place (all of them are now that I think about it), they usually hire some pretty attractive waitresses, so its nice to have some eye candy during the commercials. Of course you also run the risk of being surrounded by degenerates who are already on their 3rd martini by the time the game starts, and they keep trying to talk to your girlfriend while you get wafts of halitosis and gin because you are sitting between them and her.

Atlanta looked pretty bad in their opener but either did the eagles against a lowly Redskins team. If I had to go out and pick this one it would be getting a little extra juice on the atlanta ML to win. They cant start 0-2 and a win here is needed. Not that, that determines the game I expect a sharper atlanta team in this one. Julio goes for 2 touchdowns and Hooper with another atlanta 27-20

Yeah, 30-40 is pretty reasonable for a Sunday watching the games, I have no issue with 5 bucks a beer and usually there is a wings special around during the games. Sounds like a bunch of bullshit to me. Really she went to work for him after he did that shit. Pleeze Sounds more like a gold digger that was hooking out as a "trainer". Yeah, Atlanta Has sucked big donkey dick since the Pats bent them over in the SuperBowl. Ryan need to retire and they need to rebuild. The eagles really looked good, looks like the Old Jackson is back? Is that the first time he's faced the Skins since he left? I like playing guys that are in revenge games.

I'm not always that big on picking up rookies in fantasy football. They are too boom or bust, looked decent last week. Let's see what he can do vs the cowboys, but I always like to stick with vet wr in fantasy. RB I would be fine with owning a rookie but that's just me, kid does look good.

It pays to grab and stash them just in case, like Lindsay and Godwin payed off for me last year. It's so gross how they use Lindsey this year (it took them awhile to figure out not to run him up the middle last year). Flakko is a tard that projects all his handoffs and couldn't pull off a play action if his life depended on it. Denver is fucked until he's gone.
