Why its hard to attract investors

From the past experienced investors had it becomes difficult to trust any project with your hard earned capital . even in this era of IEO , investors are still skeptical about investing . No one enjoys losing money.

Common sense will tell us that no one really wanted to lose money in the end. But there are a lot of irrational buyers before, specially in 2017 wherein they'll just throw away their hard earn money and expects something big to come their way.

But that is the thing of the past already, they have been tested in 2017 and they have gained so much experience and maturity that they won't simply invest at this point without the potential to make money for them in the future.

it may be difficult to attract investors now because many investors have lost market confidence since many cases of fraud ICO projects, in addition to the current market situation is also not fully stable maybe if the market is stable many investors return and invest in the market again.

I think this is the main reason. Come C017 when there was an ICO explosion,the market is new and many investors try their luck to join. Just like the dot com boom, after the popularity the market subside, project that turned scams are everywhere, and investors losing their money big time. Now the appetite si lukewarm on ICO projects because of their bad experiences.

Ico's started to boom in the internet, you can choose a lot
of ico that you like, but then started to change , there are ico that are scam, running with investors money in a snap, lending platforms also can be seen, the same happens they suddenly disappear
we have already have a very good market if there are no scammers
they change everything, now investors are so hesitant whenever there is a new coin that are good but they opted out because they think its a scam, I think we should find a way to lessen or better eliminate them for good.

The obvious reason is the fact that most ICOs out there are out to scam investors. Hence, no investor wants to lose hard earned money again to scammers. This is one reason why it is difficult to attract investors to a project.

Like most people, investors certainly want to get profit after they invest whether it's short term or long term. But in fact, the developer is not responsible for the price of his coins when entering the exchange so that the opportunity for profit & loss will be 50:50. If so, what's the difference with gambling? better to play dice. So this is no longer promising for investors. Some people also blame the bounty hunter for dropping prices. Even though they only want to cash their work into FIAT. If this is the case, they should be paid BTC or ETH only to keep the price from dumping. These are the two things that investors consider to be careful or don't want to take part in ICO anymore.

The number of negative campaigns so far is certainly the reason why crypto dropped, it must be admitted that too many scam projects justify this so that crypto is the most risky investment of a scam.

The major reason for the scarcity of altcoins investors is scam in the name of ICOs. Most of the those that are not scams ends up being shitcoin or tie down investors fund over a long time for no reason.

Developers are still responsible for the price of their coin when it enters the exchange site cause the strategy they implement will make most of their coin holder to hold than sell the coin once it enter the exchange.

With that been said, I want to point out the reason why it hard to attract investors.
1) Alot of investors have lost huge fund through ICO scam
2) Most of new project token/coin loose value once they hit exchange site.
3) Some project owner broke the agreement/promise made for the investors by running away with the investors money.

I agree to your thought that scam is the reason why hard to attract investors but there is another factor we need to consider to attract more investors but many of us will not set it right which is marketing. We need right and good marketing to promote campaign. We don't need a exaggeration marketing because it will not be attracted to investors eye and they will have a doubt if it is scam.

Investors are now cautious of the kind of projects they turn to invest in hence it  will take a promising project to attract investors. Investors have learned their lessons and can now perform researches on projects to ascertain its authenticity and capabilities of surviving and becoming successful. Hence, projects must also play their part by providing the working product, use case, good team expertise etc in other to attract these professional investors.

The fact that scams and fake ICOS are rampant is the reason why people/investors lose trust and interest on putting their money into it. Unless the projects are launching on IEO, the possible to attract investors is minimal. People already learn not to trust ICOS nowadays.

But there are still many smart and creative projects alive on bitcointalk,with only community support rather than big VCs ,such as TERA ,a faster smartcontract platform with 1s block,8s confirmation,and decentralized.

The project provide real innovations,solved real existed problems,provide better user experience,surely will get support from community.

Why can't people stop investing in new projects since almost all of then are scam projects, many old coins have already proven their worth by gradually following their roadmap for years, they are more reliable that new projects, if i have to invest now it will be on old altcoins

Bearish market was one of the reasons why investors hesitated to deal investing with crypto nowadays. They feel no assurance for digital asset when it was just starting to enter the market. It really needs more time in order to be developed.

Every one has now been careful to invest on ICO (Initial Coin Offering), which always promise and fail not to be in public sales, which end up as scam project, and i think that is the major problem of investors not attract to invest in some project that not have a product presentation or have not been listed on IEOs (Initial Exchange Offering).

Too many projects are scam and many investors lose money in scam projects, this make many investors quit investing in ICO projects and you can't blame them because its not easy to lose money to people you don't know, bad developers have taken over crypto space too, they are more into pump and dump scheme now
