Have you tried solo mining to another wallet on a local network? I get the above error when I try.

Also, GPU monitoring needs to be enabled. Is it possible that the AMD ADL SDK was missing when it was compiled. The readme says to "Install AMD ADL SDK, latest version (only if you want GPU monitoring)" @ https://github.com/ckolivas/cgminer/blob/master/windows-build.txt

Cgminer sgminer crashed on me earlier, after mining for about 4 hrs, saying "GPU 0 idle ... declaring sick! Attempting to restart, etc". No idea why it did that.

Mining from another wallet on LAN works - doing it right now
GPU temp. monitoring works - looking @ tempereatures right now

:-)

Getting blocks solo isn't that great, most are orphans, with efficiency less than 1/4.

edit:

When I restarted daemon and sgminer, what happened next was rather fast:

[04:43:41] Kernel fuguecoin is experimental.
[04:43:41] Probing for an alive pool
[04:43:41] Network diff set to 121
[04:43:41] No suitable long-poll found for http://192.168.1.8:9089
[04:43:49] Found block for Pool 0!
[04:43:49] Accepted 0152cebd Diff 193/121 BLOCK! GPU 1
[04:43:49] New block detected on network

Are you using the Windows build or linux? I'm using Manitska's Windows build (from https://mega.co.nz/#!mJo1ESCB!c4UB_0epA2kMNFjq5aFKNqxSnRmfPJOed70eJ0fVwYI ) which seems to be missing GPU monitoring support (for me anyway).

Good work finding a block. I last found one 4 hours ago and the difficulty is still rising. Will be mining something else until someone makes a pool.

And +1 for bringing back the old logo. It's nice and simple like the vertcoin logo.

any guides for noobs like me to start solo mining? please?

You open fuguecoin.conf add it if not already exist:

Code:
listen=1
server=1
daemon=1
rpcuser=u
rpcpassword=p
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=9089
addnode=192.200.115.101

Now launch your Fuguecoin client, it will listen on the port 9089, waiting for a connection from 127.0.0.1 (your local host)

After it you can launch your miner software, and connect it to 127.0.0.1:9089.

Command-line for SGminer (version FugueCoin):

Code:
sgminer.exe -k fuguecoin -o 127.0.0.1:9089 -u u -p p -I 14 -g 1 -w 64 -d 0

+1

In my case It didn't work because of firewall - zone alarm

I don't use this fire-wall, but you can add a rule for local host. Otherwise i advise you to change your fire-wall O_o

Add a rule who accept the Incoming connection from your local IP on the port 9089

how many hashes should i be getting from 5870?
i get like 1mh and seems too low

Yeah maybe..  5870 is not enough for solo mining.

I have 2x 6900 series, at 40 MH/s i will stop solo mining soon (few minutes)

16hours of mining at 40 MH/s, no one block found.
can you post your settings?
5870 shuold perform quite well, they do like 400khs in litecoin

I think that the price of one coin will be in the range 0.0002 - 0.001 BTC.

@anonuser777:

Linux build.

Anyone with linux wallet can check ./fuguecoind getconnectioncount ?
I have only 1 under linux (checked on 2 machines) and 20 under Win.
With only 1 node connected I'm suer it has big impact on finding orphans mostly.

yes that's strange, the difficulty just reached 244 and the hashrate is smaller...
(is this working only in one way ? KGW might-be a good idea)

That's stange. I don't have linux so I can't check. On Windows I have 12+ peers.

Someone needs to recompile sgminer for Windows. I can see GPU monitoring isn't working for other people (see screenshots above). Also, there's a problem with connecting to other wallets on a local network.

Today I cannot login to http://fc.minepool.cc:81.
CPU mining on this pool works.
Right now there are 72 miners.
Do you know how to log in?
