Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

what is the problem with the pools?
Pool works, but must be still tested. Also sgminer has two bugs. One fixed, other I'll check tomorrow.
I will open the pool if I found the first block and see that pool works really.

There are 4 dlls inside and NO executable

Without pools, are we supposed to mine solo vs the wallet?

10x, connected Smiley

Now... trying local server
Both cpu and gpu miners say that 127.0.0.1 is not giving them work

For tests I use fuguecoin.conf:
Quote
listen=1
daemon=1
server=1
rpcuser=user
rpcpassword=pass
rpcport=9089
rpcallowip=*
addnode=192.200.115.101
addnode=109.120.170.136
And start cpu miner with
Quote
minerd -a fugue -o http://127.0.0.1:9089 -u user -p pass

Quote
[2014-03-21 10:09:52]  miner threads started, using 'fugue' algorithm.
[2014-03-21 10:09:52] HTTP request failed: Empty reply from server
[2014-03-21 10:09:52] json_rpc_call failed, retry after 30 seconds

1. delete fuguecoin.conf and recreate it in notepade.
2. restart wallet.

OMFG!
I was using notepad++... and it was in "nix" mode - no CR/LF at end of line Cheesy, so wallet was confused seeing so many strings on one and only line....

 Cry

PS: Still receive
HTTP request failed: Empty reply from server
json_rpc_call failed, retry after 30 seconds

Wallet listens on 9089, user/pass are ok...

Yhea.

Can you tell me what you changed in the sources .. tried to set one up but couldn't figure it out yet.

(not interested in taking your bounty, you can tell me once your explorer is online)

actually I couldn't get it to work either, see this coin uses fugue256 algo to hash the blocks, now the DEV needs to release a module for python, so that a block explorer can be created, and so that P2P is enabled, as well as for GPU Pool mining.
every coin that comes out with a different algorithm other than scrypt or sha256 usually releases module to get services to work, this is not the case with this coin for some reason. I not sure why but someone needs to get on the DEV on these important components.
