ANALYST: ALTCOIN SEASON has almost arrived

I see on the chart that the altcoin season will begin no earlier than February 2020.  The problem is that technical analysis does not work in the cryptocurrency market, since it has a high percentage of manipulations.

The charts will not help in this market, you can monitor the market trend in the past other than that there is nothing that can help you in deciding that the charts will be helping much, the reason is not manipulation when it comes to the top coins in the market, it is very difficult to predict when the next altcoin rally will happen and i wont be surprised if we wont see that again.

Analysts have been predicting an auction season for a while now.  Although I remain optimistic as I have a rather substantial altcoin holding,  I do think the auction season may take longer to manifest than is projected as a result of this unpredictable price action with BTC.

I wouldn't say anything related to crypto is a 'fact' ... so although I agree that BTC will eventually get to 20K and I feel likely surpass it, I wouldn't treat it as a fact.

And I too have found analysis somewhat useless. There is too much manipulation, and let's not pretend it's just related to junk coins with low volume, it applies to the top coins and btc as well. Then consider the weird btc-altcoin correlation, where even if an alt looks like it should do well by the charts, btc crashes the party and does its own thing, killing pumps randomly. Typically analyst info reads something like, coin may crash to <some level> but if it doesn't, it may go up to <some level>. Yay ... basically coin may go up or down, but nobody has a clue what it'll do.

I am not even sure that the so called analyst have the right formula to actually be able to predict the value of bitcoin accurately, and many analyst that you have been listening to are actually using their influence as a popular public figure to actually manipulate the market depending on their influence on people which is why you could see that some of their prediction comes true, while some does not come true, so I will say that it is just more like the same speculation that everyone is doing that they are all doing also.

With volatility, it is very difficult to know the exact amount of value that a coin will grow to except we judge it from the perspective of adoption which everyone will be able to do that according to the technology of each coin.

there are no accurate figures on the crypto market. everyone is free to make predictions, so are you. but when predictions and analyzes are made of your publications, of course, it must be through really complicated research. if only published allegations and prejudices would be very bad. like a gamble that I saw. but sometimes the greater a prediction is followed and agreed upon by the market then that can be a sentiment towards the market and it can make the market move.

Here we are 7 months away from the Bitcoin having, so I think sometime in the next 5 months there is going to be Bitcoin run-up near if not beyond its ATH. With that most alts will certainly go up. How much depends on how crazy that FOMO feeling gets, and the quality of the alt. It is hard to predict exactly when but I get that gut feeling we are going to see a big run, but probably not as crazy as 2017.

I agree with you. Altcoins might not have the kinda fuel to make moves like it did in 2017 and if there's going to be moves, selected key alts will make the biggest moves. As for the price level for Bitcoin, I'm sure It'll exceed the all time high abd beyond. Bitcoin halving is a big deal. I expect the price to reflect that.

I expect an altseason, if it occurs, to be much more selective as well. Perhaps top 100-200ish coins increase somewhat, but it'll only probably be a handful of alts that really provide decent returns.

And I too think BTC will eventually exceed its ATH, although I'm not so certain it'll occur when the halvening does.. or a least I don't think it'll far exceed it. If going by past history, BTC may get close to or nudge slightly beyond ATH, fall back a bit, and we may need to wait a year or so for it to really take off. It also wouldn't surprise me in the least if we see BTC do what LTC recently did with its halvening -- BTC increases, possibly between 10-20K, but 2 or so months before the actual halvening date. Then it does the dump thing before the event, meaning prices had gotten baked in early.

When the next altcoin season happens I also expect that it will be contained only to the most successful coins in the market, however if the altcoin season gives huge profits then investors will go crazy investing in any coin similar to what happened in 2017.

But this worries me, because now many people are going to remember what happened during that altcoin season and they are not going to keep holding their coins, they will sell them at the first opportunity so the volatility is probably going to be many times higher than what we saw in those days.

BTC/alt direct proportional relationship is likely to happen. Alts aren't going nowhere till btc moves, halving is my best guess for happening.

it's actually due to the influence of bitcoin on the market. there is no special effect on altcoin but bitcoin price movements affect market conditions which make the effect of movements of altcoin prices as well.

there are some effects of the bitcoin movement, if bitcoin moves stably with the pump not too high and happens gradually it is a movement that allows altcoin to also participate in the pump that occurs. but if the increase that occurs in bitcoin is too high and very fast as it did in the middle of this year, the movement and trade between bitcoin and altcoin is not balanced. bitcoin demand will be higher and altcoin will decrease or move slowly not following the pump from bitcoin.

Exactly, even I tried to analyze many times about the technical and charts but never worked, so here in cryptocurrency, we should always follow the market in order to make a profit, here at cryptocurrency trading most of the cases we are seeing the manipulation of the altcoins. That's why it is always good to wait for some time in order to make a decent profit.

I do not get where you got those numbers, there are more than 6000 coins still in the market and that number does not count all the coins that exist but are not included by any exchange.

Believe me I would like for a great deal of the coins currently in the market to just disappear since the only thing they are doing is to affect the reputation of bitcoin, but as long as some investors are willing to take the risk with such awful coins then they have the right to remain in the market.

That's why it is always good to wait for some time in order to make a decent profit.

I think that the only time technical analysis works is when you are using it to predict the value of bitcoin on a short term prediction and not on a long term prediction and I think that the highest time that technical analysis can work for bitcoin prediction is a day and anything that is more than a day will be based on fundamental.

You might be using analysis to predict future price of bitcoin now, and you will see one fundamental factor that will just change the whole thing which will make it look like those analysis where never working, so because of factor that we have which are still very much responsible for the movement of bitcoin sometimes, it will be very hard to be able to use technical analysis successfully to be able to predict the value of bitcoin accurately.

That's only the prediction is not completely correct, you do not believe it too much because they are only speculated, it could be too.

I believe altcoin can but the fact that altcoin needs more and more support not only from the adoption but the fundamental too. We know that the demand gets centralized to the bitcoin and that makes altcoin feels so difficult to grow. Altcoin needs to leave the domination from bitcoin. Some altcoin can increase to the moon too.

Of course, next year will be the altcoin season and do not sell any coins that you are holding during this time because I believe those coins will have a very good chance of rising in the near future. Currently there are not many options for investors but  top 30 coins at CMC can be considered if you want to make a profit. I'm not sure the future of altcoin but I sure the altcoin season will return to be like 2017.

Other than some  top ranked altcoins that are somewhat up, most others are still near their yearly lows.  It will take a while before we see another alt season like 2017.
