Altcoins to go crazy again once Bitcoin reaches 20k?

Most likely because alts are dependent on Bitcoin, if Bitcoin grows to $20,000, you should definitely wait for the alts season.

that's true but it's not always become the answer as the altcoin can even get nothing from the season. We don't know when that will be happening and we are only betting on something that there is no clue about when that will actually come to pump the altcoin. We have seen altcoins are loosing the value.

had increased slightly when the fast pump of bitcoin occurred but it did not last long before the dominance of trade was controlled by bitcoin and made altcoin worse. the incident made everyone sell altcoin for bitcoin. but when the pump occurs again with the balance of trade maintained in the market. I think Altcoin still has a chance to grow with the Bitcoin pump.

The problem is when that will be happening? there is no ETA about that. you can say if the pump can occur anytime but when we are seeing the reality and there is a possibility for the pump will never happen again. The chance for altcoin go grow gets drowned by bitcoin expect good altcoin like credits. 

We can't estimate the time for such a large scale growth in the market. Earlier this wasn't the way by which the market for bitcoin got to be growing. Possible chances for growth is much associated with the increasing adoption, and that's really the big market to reach.

what makes it difficult? everything will still be possible. but what I am afraid of is that altcoin investor confidence has begun to diminish if bitcoin pumps as high. we certainly see a different situation. but if you see what happens this year when bitcoin pumps and dominates altcoin trading it can't do anything.

If bitcoin unable to sustain again the barrier after pumping that high, then expect that short period of alts pumped and completely being dumped back same scenarios when this things happen last 2017 and early 2018. But if bitcoin jumped and gain enough supports to continue trying to find a new high e will soon then expect the market to get more investors and money to flow inside.

That for sure. 20k is a pretty huge milestone on the way to the moon considering how 10k was basically meaningful. This sets up for bigger magnitude of next high and what will be triggered by hitting 20k mark should be only a beginning of a 50-60k move. All altcoins will follow exactly as before in this type of situation. What we need is sentiment reset, and while this summer/fall messed with people a little, a new ATH for btc would be more than enough to compensate for it.

I am getting worried because a lot of people are expecting the halving is going to solve all the problems that bitcoin has to maintain its price, and that to me seems to be a big mistake, because I cannot stop thinking about the consequences that will come to the market if that doesn't happen, what will happen if the price does not increase after the halving? And I keep thinking that people are going to be so disappointed that many are going to get out of the market and that could create another crash.

I'm worried as well. The Litecoin halving in August showed a surge prior to halving (thanks to speculators anticipating a halving effect) and then the price collapsed.

I'm not sure at all that any rise in the bitcoin price will be sustained. And I'm not sure alts will surge either (last time people thought they were investing in the "next bitcoin" but by now they've wised up).

At this point in time we have no option but to wait and see what the price of bitcoin is going to do at that time but I cannot stop but feel very uneasy about the whole situation because as you say if something similar happens to bitcoin as what happened to litecoin then that could be a disaster for bitcoin as people will panic and this could crash the price back to the levels that we saw at the beginning of 2019 and that is no good for the development of this market.

yes, people will think what happened in 2017 will be repeated again in 2020-2021. but when comparing the volumes of various exchangers the volume is now greatly reduced. maybe most traders/investors are attracting their assets. considering that previously there was a lot of FUDs about hackers too. Surely we expect the same thing when Bitcoin goes up, Altcoin prices go up as well. but I monitored when Bitcoin up to 10k USD last month, it is proven that the price of Altcoin which is considered popular coins is even difficult to rise above 50%.

If bitcoin price increases, it is also certain that altcoin prices will also increase. I do not really know about low value coins, but, altcoin like ethereum, ripple, litecoin, and dash will also increase.

not only product but also with real services and roadmap because many of those altcoins are just being pumped but don't really have future.
anyway we are near coming to that value so we may see what we are expecting mate..

More than likely, a majority of the altcoins in the market right now are going to be worthless. There's just way too many projects for people to invest in these days. If it's not something in the top 20 or so on coinmarketcap, then I wouldn't even mess with it. There won't be enough money coming in to the market to bump up XYZ coin by very much. Almost everyone will be investing in the most popular coins(BTC, Eth, LTC, TRX, etc.,)

Why do you think that bitcoin will difficult to climb to just $20,000 when it has already hit there in 2017?
It is very easy to get there now than 2 years ago because more people are aware of it benefit and originality,

many updates will be created in the market. like bitcoin and ethereum. not to mention from libra, that is big news that should be able to grow market demand. but if that still doesn't make bitcoin pumping then the hope of seeing altcoin on top again I think will be difficult.

Hopefully, it will! Just trust the market and your hold coins as well. I am really positive in altcoin season once bitcoin explode. Soon, as the good news arrive many huge investors will ride on the market. But right now, we have to wait and dream first then save more money to buy altcoins and bitcoin. For sure, it is good to stock some of them right now.
