I have noticed a lot of fighters try themselves in boxing. Maybe there was something in Ngannou words, when he talked about slavery UFC contract. Otherwise I cant explain why fighters, when they finish their career, instead of retire, they switch to boxing or bare knuckle fights. They could have switched into coaching, or being hired training partners for younger and less experienced fighters, or open their own gym. Yet they being quite old for the sport, go boxing. Money is their motivator ?

This also explains why Jake Paul always wanted to fight UFC fighters that are already retired or those who are not getting enough money when they fight, he offered them some huge cash and they took the bait because they haven't got enough money when they were in the UFC. that's a big opportunity for him and now we already know one of the reasons why they fight him despite them being one of the legends in the UFC.

On the other hand, boxing gives them most of their rights and they really wanted to switch professions because after all is their body and they are the one who needs to fully earn from it, not just some individual who owns the company like the UFC.

It feels bad seeing legends getting mauled by younger fighters that they should've beaten during their primes. And it's the same when stars from other sports like the UFC cross over just to get exploited and destroyed for money. I cannot blame them though especially if the amounts offered are life-changing to them. They would rather take a punch from Jake Paul and get shamed for millions.

Imagine Jon Jones' rematch with Cormier with a PPV buys of 800k. His guaranteed purse of $500k ballooned to around $2m. But that PPV buys figure in boxing at that same time would've guaranteed an easy minimum of $20m payouts for all the fighters in the event. It's funny when some people tried to defend UFC contracts and purse sharing, especially its stars.

I really like the fighting style of Jose Aldo, I still remember those fights against Conor and some other great fighters, and for sure he will be a great element in boxing, I can't wait to bet on him again.

As you mention they always have the option to live from coaching, or become a trainer, but that's not enough money for someone who already gets paid as a UFC champ. So, I'm sure money is the motivation behind that decision.

Did anyone check crazy odds bookmakers have on upcoming Bellator 290 fight Ryan Bader vs Fedor Emelianenko?
Bader is huge favorite and this fight is now available for betting on Sportbset and Stake website, I can't find it on Betnomi.
With this odds I must take a shot on Fedor to win in his last MMA fight, and with boosted odds Sportsbet have highest odds at the moment.
I know Bader is few years younger and that he won first fight in 2019, but I won't bet on him with this silly odds.

Sportsbet:

I can not blame them aswell, people have a different perspective on this that Jake Paul should fight a professional boxer instead of fighting retired MMA fighters, the misconception of Jake Paul is not really a legit boxer is still there so fighting a boxer would just maul him down so for the fight to be fair he would get an MMA fighter not just an MMA fighter but a retired old MMA fighter to his advantage and people are saying he should fighter YouTubers aswell than gnashing his teeth with some MMA fighter because of this I was to see a KSI VS Jake Paul fight, or Salt Papi VS Jake Paul fight, that will be a great fight to watch,

I really like the fighting style of Jose Aldo, I still remember those fights against Conor and some other great fighters, and for sure he will be a great element in boxing, I can't wait to bet on him again.

The Problem is Jose Aldo is not in his prime anymore he would just lose to younger fighters inside the ring, but the legacy that Jose Aldo leave in the scene of the UFC or MMA world really has a great impact, seeing the fight of Marlon "Chito" Vera when he fought Jose Aldo it becomes a life-changing experience for him, he now is using the style of Aldo in his fights, not all because he is mixing it with his own style but that lost from Aldo has become an inspiration for him instead of a downfall, Pedro Munhoz also has that tendency of copying some of Aldo's technique that boxing style of Aldo is one of the best and effective in the industry he is one of the great strikers in the UFC, no I think he is on the top, even though he is not in the UFC anymore you can look at those fighters can you would notice some shards of Jose Aldo in them,

LOL. The fights between Conor and Aldo is not much to remember. It last less than 30 second and ended after single punch. Not the best example to remember Aldo for Cheesy It is better to remember when Aldo was a champ and defended his title. When he was chopping people with low kick like scythe cuts crops.

In addition to my notice. UFC fighters look at boxing after retirement from MMA, rather than fighters from other promotion. Like Bellator, One, PFL or KFC (that is how I call KSW Cheesy). Why?

^  Not much to remember when you watch the match itself but it's one of the most iconic fights in McGregor's career imho.  He did the impossible by winning against the great Aldo in his prime.  And not only that, he did it in 30 secs.  It was brilliant as McGregor set it up during the build up going to the event.  He knew all his antics would eventually get to Aldo and he had the perfect move for it and he did it.  Aldo was tense, let it all of it go and McGregor was ready.  Such a brilliant move.

It was a page off Ali's play book.

But seeing what we saw, it's pretty obvious that Aldo prolly would win in a rematch.  Dunno or maybe McGregor lost something on the way, never to get it back.

Why? I'm Curious,

Well regarding Jose Aldo back when he was champion he was doing incredibly tremendous and had excellent striking back then but when he fought Conor McGregor everything went down, Conor McGregor's taunting really worked against Aldo not Physically but Psychologically attacking Aldo, and McGegor really got into Aldo's Core, for me the combination of Jose Aldo's kicks and striking was pretty much superb and right now it is what most fighters in the latest UFC now,

They have seen an instant opportunity when fighting in boxing, those Pay per view payments and for me I see an MMA fighter fighting  in boxing was all about money,

Conor McGregor's antics and taunting really have gotten to Jose Aldo he mostly losses his focus on the fight, because he was really furious about McGregor and he really wanted to beat him, his emotions were out there ready to hit McGregor but Conor McGregor were pretty much ready that time, but for me, I am sure when they got a rematch Jose Aldo will be ready a win for sure,

Countdown started and we are only few days away from last MMA fight of Fedor Emelianenko.
Bellator just released new Bader vs Fedor II Crossroads Episode first part preview video on their youtube channel:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DNs6WpP9CVA

Good news that Betnomi added this event on their website, after Sportsbet and Stake did it earlier.
You can now compare all odds and find the best possible, and if you are betting on Fedor that is currently Betnomi.
If you are betting on Ryan Bader than Sportsbet and Stake have highest odds, but remember that Sportsbet is offering boosetd odds:

Conor McGregor's antics and taunting really have gotten to Jose Aldo he mostly losses his focus on the fight, because he was really furious about McGregor and he really wanted to beat him, his emotions were out there ready to hit McGregor but Conor McGregor were pretty much ready that time, but for me, I am sure when they got a rematch Jose Aldo will be ready a win for sure,

Id say that in a rematch, both would have equal chances to win. Aldo had a good number of losses, Conor had almost identical fighting results. Probably gods of random will decide who is going to win in a rematch. However, I would go with Conor in a rematch. Press Conference for Bellator 290 Bader vs. Fedor 2 was just finished and you can watch it again on yotube.
Fedor looked very relaxed and he said he is happy to finally finish his carrier, but he had a lot of problems with visa for this fight.
This all card is very good and if it is broadcasted in same time with UFC I would watch this all card and maybe final fight in UFC.

Suddenly got amazed with Bader and Fedor records. Fedor has been fighting since 2000 and got 47 fights. Quite a lot at first I thought. But then I've looked on Bader record - 38 mma fights since 2007. I though old Fedor got a lot of fights, turns out Bader isnt far away from him. Never thought that is so much experienced.

I always find it interesting to notice such things. All of the time our focus is lead by media, promotion and etc. We notice only 30-50 fighters, while there are thousand of others, who are just less lucky. So I went googling. Found quite an entertaining statistics. Can you image there is guy who had 320 professional MMA fights and 75 professional boxing fights. That is close to total fights count of one weight division top fighters have.

It's always interesting to compare MMA stats in fights like this, and both of this fighters have similar percentage of lost and won matches.
Fedor is better with submissions, but if they lose a fight both of them have higher chances to go down with KO or TKO, they never lost a fight with decision.
Fedor have slight reach advantage and he tried to present himself as tired old man in press conference, but maybe that is his tactics to fool Bader.
I am happy to hear one of the best MMA judges Herb Dean will be in octagon with Fedor and Ryan Bader this weekend.

Have you checked Aldos opponent in boxing fight ? Emmanuel Zambrano. He is 3 years younger, but his record make me doubt that this fight is going to be very competitive.

Yup! partially people can not tell who's going to win in their fight because it is much more complicated in dealing with when you got Jose Aldo who sure has great strikes and Conor McGregor that has the kicks but will surely get into his opponent's head to get them got off of their game plan, I think this is very much like McGregor the only one that doesn't fall for it and focus in winning 1st was Khabib Nurmagomedov, but surely Nurmagomedov had a great game plan and that is Conor McGregor's weakness for sure, and after that, because Khabib Nurmagomedov is in rage it all came out have said every word he could possibly think to Conor McGregor then attacks Connors Camp that is outside ringside by jumping out the fence,

WOW! I never know that Jose Aldo would go on boxing, I thought he surely quit for good in fighting his opponent was nothing a unknown boxer with 3 losses, I highly doubt it will be a good fight,

I was just curious if anyone remember Matt Mitrione.  I went to highschool with him and he dated my sisters best friend so he'd be over at my house from time to time.  He was an amazing football player (american football), played in the NFL for a bit but man he had a really solid UFC career. He fought when I was much more in to UFC, and loved watching him fight as he's a heavyweight who throws insanely strong hooks.

Here's one of his fights versus Kimbo Slice https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e670NSQNpvo

Here's one of his fights versus Kimbo Slice https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e670NSQNpvo

I remember him. He was one of the The Ultimate Fighter contenders. That was TUF season with Kimbo Slice (YouTuber star of underground bare knuckle boxing) and Roy Nelson (redneck looking funny guy) . That season must have increased hype and interest to MMA. UFC signed Slice aiming to get interner fans, but Slice did not look great. I would say did not worth money he asked. Also Matt Mitrione has defeated Fedor Emelianenko, who is going to have next and last fight tomorrow on Bellator 290.

I remember Matt being huge and strong, but not very technician fighter. He is what people call "bull" or "pure power".

So you went to Sacred Heart-Griffin High School ? First step to deanonymization Cheesy

Good news that Betnomi added this event on their website, after Sportsbet and Stake did it earlier.
You can now compare all odds and find the best possible, and if you are betting on Fedor that is currently Betnomi.
It was something weird, betnomi had the event since last month, but then take it out, and then back with the fixed odds, I was lucky to bet on Fedor on x3.75, some days ago it was in x2.7 and now is x3.2. So, odds have been moving.

I am happy to hear one of the best MMA judges Herb Dean will be in octagon with Fedor and Ryan Bader this weekend.
Herb Dean is a true legend and is awesome to have him as a referee. he is always a great referee for this kind of heavyweight fight.

But then I've looked on Bader record - 38 mma fights since 2007. I though old Fedor got a lot of fights, turns out Bader isnt far away from him. Never thought that is so much experienced.
Fedor Emelianenko was in his prime well before 2010 and after his first loss against Fabrício Werdum he lost two other fights in a row against top fighters during that time and then fought some sub par opponents to have a feel good moment before making his retirement but still 47 fights is a huge number while Bader never took a long break in his career and if Bader plays according to his strength which is wrestling he will win the fight.

I remember his debut as Matt Mitrione was given to Kimbo Slice as a sacrificial lamb but he made a mess to the plans of UFC by taking Kimbo to the ground and defeating him considerably and messed up my bet as Kimbo was hyped up and Matt was literally making his debut and he could have stayed in the UFC but he choose to wait for better offers and signed with Bellator and i was expecting him to become a champion because of the lack of depth in the division in Bellator but age is catching up with him as he is in a loosing streak.

Since i watched him from the start of his career, he looks like a friendly jovial person who enjoys life, is he the same in real life  Smiley.
