How can you guys missed news that Conor has sold his shares? I think almost immediately, after selling his shares, he has bought his Lamborghini Tecnomar 63 yacht. Btw, I think those 600millions he has got from that trade has changed his attitude towards fighting completely. I mean who would train hard, die in gyms and gets punched into face for several millions few times per year ( I know that he earns more, but his peak earnings have gone, his fight against Khabib was most profitable for him, followed by a fight earnings decrease), when you have 600 millions.

Was one of the owners until he has sold his share in 2021 for 600 millions It was pure a business project for him and Conor was only a face of it, despite him saying that he has taken direct participation in creating taste of Proper Twelve and add "a part of his soul into it". Since he has sold his share, he has never advertised it, not we ever saw him with a bottle of it on public.

He founded Proper Twelve but I didn't know he sold majority of his holding, Proximo previously held 49% stake, but yeah everything is about money for Conor.
I think many people like me are still associating Proper Twelve with Conor because he spoke a lot about everywhere he could  

PFL are doing great. I like that I hear more and more of them. That force UFC always be in tension; never relaxed, as other promotions might easily make a bite of their MMA pie. Proper Twelve, Ngannou, they have tournaments with 1 million prize.

One thing I like most about PFL is their tournament style competition formats for all categories, and with big $1 million rewards for each winners.

I don't know to what extent the information about his fortune is true, but I think that if they are true and he has so much money that it's enough for him to live well until he dies, I don't see any reason for him to fight again, in that same article he said he's coming back from a horrific injury, so isn't this the ideal time for him to retire? the guy is 34 years old, he's not young anymore, I know there are many fighters close to his age and others even older than him and they're fighting, but the question I ask myself: are these other fighters who are older old than him if they had a lot of money like him would they still keep fighting? I think the answer would be: no

the guy is underestimating his opponent a lot, it looks like he's constantly fighting and winning fights and then he doesn't see any danger in fighting Usman, but in the article he said that he was coming back from a horrible injury and that he doesn't want to wear himself out, he is very confident that he can easily beat Usman, I wonder what would happen if he fights Usman and loses

Well, I am not really interested in Conor McGregor, and I thought that he still got his hands with his share with Proper No. Twelve Whiskey, and I have really never seen any news about it, but I am sure following Khabib Nurmagomedov, I think he changes his mind and is now cast in a movie the remake of Road House along with Jake Gyllenhaal so I think he will proceed to an acting career than making a go with the MMA, and I have never seen talks about the 600 million deal with his Proper No. Twelve share deal,

Until Artem Lobov sued McGregor because of the said Whisky brand, but Artem Lobov was denied by the judge and Lobov was ordered to pay the legal fees well now that Conor McGregor has sold his shares if he did, then Artem Lobov can not do a thing right now after he lost in the court but Maybe I trusted Lobov a little and McGregor's judges were just too good to figure out something to persuade the judges, well this is just my speculation, but yeah McGregor is really after the money no other thing is good for him but the money only,

Bellator 293 is finally coming back this week with a new event and main fight Golm vs James in heavyweight division, this will interesting to watch.
Both fighters are in great form but i would give advantage to James because of his big reach advantage and he should be heavier.
Marcelo Golm is not without chance in this fight, he is much younger, faster, and he was in UFC few years ago.
I wouldn't miss this fight with co main event, and maybe few more fights from main card.

He has said that they had an offer from UFC. They offered to buy his promotion for 100k and pay 20k for each event which they will air on UFC Fight Pass. When that promotion earns around 50k just from YouTube views... This shows how greedy UFC is.

This is not always the case, but they broadcasted this event live because it was first in Europe.
I know ONE FC did something similar with their events, and Bealltor is broadcasting for free only prelims, main card must be purchased.
UFC will never upload full events on youtube for free, but they sometimes upload good fights between top fighters.

For example you can search on YouTube for "Hardcore Fighting Championship". It is totally on Russian, but turn on subs (but doubt that it will help much). It is sort of a talk show, where fighter throw lots of poop on each other + a fight after. The idea of all that is that a man must answers for his words.

I would say that this is 65% of drama and 35% of fighting. So much drama, because fighters fight after the show (lol). The script is usually like this: Fighter A calls fighter B, lets say a gay (and for Dagestani and people around that region that is like uber insultingly). Fighter A beats Fighter B. Fighter B gets really upset with that (being called a gay and lost) and with his friends catch Fighter A unexpectedly on the street and beats him. Beats him so hard, that Fighter A gets into hospital. Friends of Fighter A find Fighter B and his friends, and beat them in return. Or call for a fight in HFC.

This is a circulation of broken noses, chins and injuries Endless drama. Other Russian combat related channels catch that hype and makes thousands of vids about that.

Promotion earns on views, ads, copyright and etc.

This is like a milking cow for UFC. That promotion has trashtalk, drama, fights. Perfect mix. And offered very low payment for owners right for that. So answering to "Do you mean they exposed how greedy UFC is through thier channel? " - they do not expose, but that is an example how UFC wants (as usually) pay low for huge demanded content.

^ I was thinking of how Dana ripped those fighters which they speak on the youtube video with masks and voices altered. Three is no one really speaking out loud against Dana with details of how they were ripped. We can only see them wanting to stay away from UFC, I guess they are afraid of Dana's lawyer.

Don't you think UFC is paying those MMA-related channels low because it is based on how many subscribers and where their viewers are from?
I'm not really familiar with this but it must be cool to be paid by doing live and then just talking about how the fights are, there are several of these channels every weekend doing live just agreeing Bisping and Rogan.

UFC are buying in bulk all MMA-related promotions, events and video to air them on their UFC Fight pass. I dont think this is related to language, viewers, popularity or numbers of fans. UFC only needs two guys fighting video to stream it 24/7 on TV. Their weekly or bi-weekly event is just like 4-6 hours of broadcast time and they need something to fill other 150+ hours of fighting weekly Fans ask for more new fights. So they buy in bulk, they pay cheap.

I don't think people want to have quantity instead of quality and it's better to have less broadcast with better fighters.
UFC can't buy everything they want, like PFL and Bellator and I don't think it would be good for anyone to have only one big promotion, that is more centralization than needed.

It was a fight card for the underdogs where we saw many heavy favorites loosing their fights and one with controversies in judging, Joey Davis was the heavy favorite and he dominated the fight taking Jeff Creighton to ground and controlling majority of the time and Jeff was able to land some strikes while on the ground and when the decision came, they adjudged Jeff Creighton the winner for landing some strikes in the final minutes of the third round .

Rakim Cleveland another heavy underdog won against Christian Edwards and his hype train is over as he completely gassed out in the third round and presented his head and got chocked out  .

What can I say - when person retires from MMA, he moves to boxing. Turns out that if person has lost its prime form in MMA, he is still good for boxing. And it is funny that formed MMA guy now fight under boxing rules. I think it hard for them to resist to throw a low kick or try to take down, when they have been doing it against their opponents for ages

It's funny that someone from the UFC goes to Boxing instead of retiring, I wonder why these guys who make a lot of money and keep getting hurt for years still want to keep fighting, they even created exhibition fights to keep fighting even when they're done. they are old, UFC guys learn various martial arts and as in the UFC they throw punches so it is very easy to get used to Boxing, although in Boxing they will spend many hours using only their arms but from what I see not even that is not a barrier that will make them give up

there will come a time when we will see fights between fighters who are already very old and who were legends in the past and the title of the fights will be: "fights of legends". I do not doubt that this will happen, because we are walking in a path where fighters are no longer able to retire, could it be that fighters do not earn enough money to guarantee a good retirement? Why do I keep asking myself why they retire from the UFC but go into Boxing or exhibition fights, but don't retire from Boxing?

I was thinking Anthony Pettis is still under contract with PFL, but maybe they are allowing lose roles and boxing fights
For Joes Aldo I heard that he was interested in boxing and he was always good at that, but my boxing favorites are heavyweights like Fury.

I really think that is a brilliant find and sharing it is a good thing actually curious enough I think MMA fighters tend to still want to fight to find their way in boxing because they know that there is no wrestling or grappling needed just pure striking and that said, Anthony Pettis, Vitor Belfor, and Jose Aldo is all good strikers in the MMA, so a little training with boxing is just needed by them to be good on this even though Pettis has 8 submissions win his KO wins is remarkable, so I think it is a good find but surely their opponent

I think they really stop fighting with their MMA career but, they want to fight badly and they know that they can still progress with boxing if not in the MMA then at least a couple of fights with boxing, or maybe accepting Jake Paul or some retired boxer to face them on an Exhibition match-up or they can even make it as a professional fight, it is up to them, or maybe they need cash and seeing MMA fighters making a big amount in boxing that they decided they will try because they themselves had already had a name in the MMA sports so they can sure gain many viewers

It is a good thing to have a nice warm-up before the big fight in the UFC, well for me both fights will be great, and the recent fight with Larissa Pacheco between the dominant Kayla Harrison it was really a great fight to watch,

I was just curious if anyone remember Matt Mitrione.  I went to highschool with him and he dated my sisters best friend so he'd be over at my house from time to time.  He was an amazing football player (american football), played in the NFL for a bit but man he had a really solid UFC career. He fought when I was much more in to UFC, and loved watching him fight as he's a heavyweight who throws insanely strong hooks.

I remember him. He was one of the The Ultimate Fighter contenders. That was TUF season with Kimbo Slice (YouTuber star of underground bare knuckle boxing) and Roy Nelson (redneck looking funny guy) . That season must have increased hype and interest to MMA. UFC signed Slice aiming to get interner fans, but Slice did not look great. I would say did not worth money he asked. Also Matt Mitrione has defeated Fedor Emelianenko, who is going to have next and last fight tomorrow on Bellator 290.

I remember Matt being huge and strong, but not very technician fighter. He is what people call "bull" or "pure power".

Really late reply here, but that's correct..good old Sacred Heart Griffin.  It's the local catholic high school.  I didn't like the religious aspect of it necessarily, but we hands down had the hottest girls in the city..so I loved it

& Yeah exactly..he was on that Ultimate Fighter show where he earned his reputation and ticket to the UFC.  When he fought Kimbo, Kimbo was pretty much done with his career.  RIP Kimbo

I remember his debut as Matt Mitrione was given to Kimbo Slice as a sacrificial lamb but he made a mess to the plans of UFC by taking Kimbo to the ground and defeating him considerably and messed up my bet as Kimbo was hyped up and Matt was literally making his debut and he could have stayed in the UFC but he choose to wait for better offers and signed with Bellator and i was expecting him to become a champion because of the lack of depth in the division in Bellator but age is catching up with him as he is in a loosing streak.

Since i watched him from the start of his career, he looks like a friendly jovial person who enjoys life, is he the same in real life  .

Yeah I'll never forget that Kimbo Slice fight.  You're also right, the problem with Matt now a days is his Age.  We are both getting up there in age and I know for me anyhow, I wake up typically sore as hell..just being an old fart now lol.

Some big news today with the UFC merging with WWE.  WWE (formerly WWF) was awesome back in the day, of course now that I'm older I've outgrown it a bit, but they just don't have the wrestlers like they once did..so this is probably a good thing for both the UFC and WWE.
