Fiat Vs Cryptocurrency, which would you choose?

For me it is best to use fiat currency in terms of purchasing especially in small shops. Because crypto currency is only limited by the products we can buy and we cannot afford to live with crypto so eventually we are still converting our crypto currency to fiat money to buy our daily needs.

Well, I would not say that it is the best but we have no choice other than that. Crypto currencies are just accepted by limited stores and some even don't want to accept it as payment. That is the reason why bitcoin and crypto currencies are made, for the convenience of its users. With the limited place to use it, people are just using it as a store of value. I would not say Fiat is the best here but as I said, we have no choice. If crypto currency are being used regularly, I would choose it than Fiat.

You know it's a very non-transparent institution, they control money as they wish, they print as much as they wish, they modify USD's purchasing power as they wish. They create debt, a loan that we have to pay. Why do I have to pay a loan that's not mine? Is it right and fair what they do?
To sum up, we have no control and no right on USD = it's not our.
So that's why I choose cryptocurrency, I can mine it, I can independently own it, I can protect my privacy with it and more, satoshi is hero for releasing this idea.
I think it will be good for everyone to read some articles about connection between USD and FED, who owns FED and etc.

Most people will never do that and I will give you an example, let's suppose that you have a car, most people do not really know how a car works or how to fix it but as long as it runs and functions without any problem then they are not going to question themselves about such things.

And the same is true about the economy in fiat currencies, as long as they work and you can use your dollars to buy something then most people are not going to wonder about how the economy and fiat currencies work, one thing that I have noticed is that most people that really believe in cryptocurrencies have a deep knowledge about the economy and they know that this cannot last that much longer before we begin to see huge problems in the economy, but by the time that happens it is going to be too late for most people because at that point bitcoin will be too expensive for them.

We both need fiat and cryptocurrency because they both have different purposes because in fiat we use it to make transactions for us to buy goods and pay all of our bills, while cryptocurrency we can also use it to buy goods but only in online shopping, so we mostly use our cryptocurrency to store our funds and making it as our investment.

People have different opinions on that point indeed. The main thing here is where you live. Some countries are closed to crypto and the opinion of people from there is absolutely clear - they say yes to fiat. And people from developed countries, where crypto is acceptable on a grocery store on the corner of the street may chose crypto as their prefer way of payment.

Well, there's no specific answer to that wrong. Your question has to be answered subjectively, so it would depend on which side they feel more comfortable on the person. Our reaction is rather biassed as an enthusiast of cryptography. Of course, we'd prefer crypto over fiat, but there are some things that crypto can't work while fiats can, well, and also fiats. Both honestly.  Crypto is nice to have as it supports currency of a new generation and puts banks and governments in check.  You can hedge against your specific economy by having crypto, but fiat is still needed for common things that you cant get with crypto, and at this point is a much more stable currency than crypto

I do not have any problem with that scenario and I'm sure that many of those that are enthusiastic about cryptocurrencies have the very same opinion but governments do not think like that, they used to have a monopoly when it came to printing currencies and now they are realizing that finally after a long time they have competition and not only that they are realizing they have no way to compete with cryptocurrencies.

And they do not like at all that in the case they have to print a lot of money in order to get out of economic problems they will be unable to steal the value of your currency if you are not holding fiat but instead you are holding crypto.

I choose both. for me, Fiat and Cryptocurrency are just as important. I still need fiat money because my country's government regulations forbid using cryptocurrency as a means of payment. The cryptocurrency in my country can only be used as a digital asset commodity that can only be traded on an exchange.

Your answer will entirely depend on the angle that you choose to answer that question, when it comes to my everyday life I cannot use my bitcoin for anything so I have no option but to give my vote to fiat if that is the standard that we are going to use.

But when it comes to making money over the short and long term then this is a no contest, cryptocurrencies are by far your best option because the money that you can make in this market is incredible, if you invested at the beginning of the previous year and sold your coins one year later you could have obtained profits above 100% and that is with the biggest coin in the market so in that case I'll choose cryptocurrencies over fiat.

I don't think that either is better than the other. I think each has its purpose and place. There are technologies that remaking them more interchangeable like the Tap prepaid card that allows you to spend your crypto the same way you would spend fiat on your day to day expenses like groceries, because of this I think the lines are getting increasingly blurred.

To be honest both have advantages and disadvantages, but if I have to choose, of course I will choose cryptocurrency. That's why I am

There isn't that much industries that pay entirely in cryptocurrency maybe online businesses do but they are still small compared to the businesses that are using fiat as a mode of payment for transactions and salaries to the employees. I agree with your point that it can be a good investment but having fiat at your pocket as a safety net for emergency is a good thing too, I haven't heard of any investments in fiat so I do not know that much.

I do not agree that they are both necessary inherently, you can still live even without cryptocurrency but fiat is a different thing, fiat has a stranglehold in any government, with their roots so deep in the history of any country, I do think that fiat is more on advantage here. On a side note regarding investments, diversify your investments so you can have a constant cashflow even if one of your investment goes down.

In terms of future and the investment types, crypto would be the obvious choice and will continue to remain it. As not everyone is accepting the btc or crypto while accepting the payment, so fiat is still required at this juncture. But I am sure in coming time it would be more and more of crypto and less of fiat.

In my opinion, now we can’t live completely without fiat money. But we still cannot fully choose cryptocurrency until the whole world switches to digital money. everyone is striving for this, but you need to consider that this will not happen until every person has a well-functioning Internet.
