Gambling is a form of entertainment. Like watching sports or going to the movies. You should have weekly and monthly budgets and stick to them. And you should enjoy it. If you don't enjoy it, use your entertainment budget on other things.

I think many people will have the same experience as you because when we are playing gambling, we have a dream to make a lot of money, but the fact is we can not win any games. Or if we can win, we only win small money, and that can make us keep playing gambling, although we know about the risk of playing gambling. Thousands of dollars isnt that big a deal to some people, its all relative.   People make more costly decisions just in their normal business or housekeeping then the thousand they might lose on the tables.  Most common way I see people throwing away money would be just for the sake of convenience or cars is a common way to overspend on something that isnt required over basic requirements.    Its worth writing down, you can lose a hell of alot of money in life by not taking a risk by not going for a job you know you are capable of and so on and I would relate that to gambling at least a little.

Yep, I can agree with you. Most people say the same as you, they think gambling isn't for earning money but having fun or entertainment. However, we don't enjoy the games without a good control on our money. As it is just for entertainment, we are better to allocate limited money daily/weekly/monthly. Don't spend our money for entertainment purpose only because I am pretty sure that every person has more urgent needs.

Well, it is true, this entertainment reason seems to be their way to escape the fact what they really after. I don't think that there are some people who only gamble without aiming to win money. There is no such person with the idea of burning money without expecting a return.

Uh, but I somehow know a person gamble just for fun. He just want to play, he wants the feeling of winning not because of the money, but the idea of winning itself. Its luck when he brought more home, but it is also alright if he lose all. He already had a limit when to stop. If you're asking why did he chose gambling? Why not other free entertainment? I do not treat gambling as a job because of the risks, I treat is seriously but I do not see it as a job. I always having fun with gambling not because I won but because of the stress relieving pleasure that I keep getting to it. I'm keep having fun in both losing and winning streak and for me it is okay because I only allocating the excess money that I have. Some gamblers are playing for the hope of doubling their capital because they believe its the easy way to do it. Yes its not right and risky but we cant coerce others to not gamble for that reason. It should be for entertainment or as pass time but it is also tempting to play if you have the mindset of earning because you can possibly grow your money if you happen to be lucky.

You are saying it like it's easy to do. Sorry, but it's hard to believe you. Gambling can give you an extra income, but only in the case of good luck, and you can't be lucky all the time, some times you win, and other times lose.

We people are different and maybe we are not on the same level or status. I do not have plenty of money that is why I started my statement "For me". I can't afford to put big amount of money in gambling. Even losing a hundred pesos makes me sad. I only gamble if I have extra time and money. I do not take away the side that some really makes money through it because working in a real job is harder than making one bet which can double or triple your money. But we are not all rich. I am just small gambler that gamble when I am bored then stopped when I do not have money or if I am done. If I win, then so be it. I have money.
