C:\Users\Jeffersondk\AppData\Roaming\Egulden

Daar staat een bestandje dat heet: coin.conf

Klik rechts en dan "openen met". Kies daar het kladblok (notepad).
Voeg nu de volgende 2 regels toe, sla het bestand coin.conf weer op en herstart de client:

addnode=54.72.71.60
addnode=95.96.192.87
addnode=5.157.80.21
addnode=108.61.191.169
addnode=87.209.32.110

Just discovered a misconception of mine. Was thinking EFL was being mined private till 10.500.000 EFL's were produced and from that point on mining became public.
Noticed however that block 1 generated the full 10.500.000 (block 0 just 25).

Till the first post on this forum was posted (march 19, block 42000) mining will have been fairly private so these students hold about 45000*25=1.125.000. Well deserved I would say if they manage to keep this up and their project funded.

Currently we are 8255 blocks further, and so 8255*25=206375 EFL's are publicly mined by know.

I have been mining since block 42000 and I know quite a few people have, so I don't think they actually have that much if any

Hey guys,

Complete newbie but willing to learn, how does this stuff work?
I cannot seem to be able to find something like a dummy guide, or even a step by step.
For instance, I do not even have a coin.conf in my AppData/Roaming/Egulden folder do I just make one in notepad++ or what?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

In short yes create one with the content given on the site as example. Name it coin.conf and place it in the previously mentioned folder

@dev We really need a new wallet with integrated nodes and no need of a config file. We really dont want the poor dutch population to create and add an conf file to an unknown appdata/roaming folder they never seen before on their computer, no?  Wink

Added the coin.conf, but still no Blocks, and wallet still stuck on (not synchronised).
Do I need to install something else besides the wallet?
And if so, why is that not posted on the https://e-gulden.com/ website?
 Huh

 Huh

Are you trying to solo?

If you are, you are out of luck (diff is somewhere around 20) unless you have pretty monstrous hash power.

Better to use pools now.

Does it say you have connections in bottom right? Otherwise trying running as administrator, which could help bypass a firewall If thats the problem

Most of the above is gibberish to me, as I said, I am a complete noob, lured in by the idea of getting the gulden back.
I will read up on bit-/litecoins over the weekend, and try to get this working.
Right now I know to little about this stuff to ask the right questions.

I am having some strong feelings against the entire EFL and/ or http://e-gulden.com people though, a simple how-to would have been nice...

OK, as simply as I can, assuming you have a ATI gpu capable of running the software.:

Go and register on one of the pools on the OP, then set up a worker on the pool.

Then download cgminer and put it on the desktop. Get the one compatible with litecoin, later versions of cgminer do not support scrypt which is the algo used in EFL

Go to the getting started page on your pool and copy and paste the line for cgminer into a file called start.bat in the cgminer folder on your desktop, it will look something like this:

./cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://emc2.suprnova.cc:3366 -u Weblogin.Worker -p Worker password (Don't use this line, use the line on the pool.)

Change:

./cgminer to cgminer.exe

weblogin.worker to your worker name on the pool.

Worker pasword to your password

save it and then double click it, cgminer should start, albeit prolly quite slowly.

You then need to "tune" your gpu, do a search for litecoin hardware comparison and work it out from there.

The reason they tend not to put instructions in the OP is because different systems need different settings and it won't be long before the thread just turns into a hardware thread rather than a coin thread.

Step by step.
1. Go to www.e-gulden.com
2. Download the wallet for your type of system
3. Run the installee
4. Once installer finishes locate the program in your installation folder
5. Right click the program, then run as administrator
6. Once it is started check the bottom right corner of the client if it has connections(hover till info pops up)
7. If there's connections sit back and wait till it is synchronized(can take a while)
8. If there's no connections go to C:\Users\"your username"\AppData\Roaming\Egulden
9. Check if there's a file called coin.conf
10. If it is open it and overwrite the content with this
Quote
rpcuser=username
rpcpassword=password
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=21015
addnode=5.157.80.21
addnode=95.96.192.87
addnode=108.61.191.169
addnode=87.209.32.110
port=11015
gen=0
server=1
11. If the file is not there open up notepad(or notepad++)
12. Paste the quote from step 10 into it
13. Save file as coin.conf in C:\Users\"your username"\AppData\Roaming\Egulden
14. Back to step 5 right click the client and run as administrator

I think the value of this coin will increase even more (much) today Smiley.

Great to see the value increasing at Bittrex, together with the trading volume.

{Curently quite inactive as I'm really busy in my private life. I will get back soon!}
