Kinda disappointing, the event will probably be moved in 2021 since we aren't sure if the cure for the virus will exist this year.

https://talksport.com/sport/boxing/700565/fury-wilder-iii-november-or-december-earliest-bob-arum/

Fury is likely to win the third battle. I don't believe Wilder has been completely recovered from the latest match since he suffered catastrophic injury from the ear, it's not easy to recover from that. The vestibular portion was very impaired by the injury to the ear, the object of which is equilibrium and balance.

45 votes in the poll so far

37 vote for Fury
8 votes for Wilder

The gap in the poll is widening. By far the majority here say Fury will win. Not many have hope in a Wilder win.

I looked at his injuries and i am not able to see any media reporting of this particular injury and if he sees this excuse he might use this if Wilder looses the next fight  Cheesy. There is more than enough time to recover from his injuries and even Wilder said he is fine and his earn drum is fine.

If you watch both the fights and the complete domination by Fury in the second fight no one will give Wilder a chance to win the fight, but Wilder is always dangerous because of his power, so you cannot completely neglect Wilder.

Well, Wilder can't use the excuse because he's already decided that the 3rd match will go on. So even he's not in a good condition, or he's still recovering from the past fight, it shouldn't be an excuse. Based on the recent fight, even though both parties are now in good shape, I'm still going to go to Fury.

https://metro.co.uk/2020/02/26/deontay-wilder-reveals-details-ear-injury-tyson-fury-loss-12309811/
the recent fight was just 2 months ago, a fighter takes a lot of time to recover himself and reach max potential especially to gain strength for the upcoming fight.

So, he do actually get injured with that last fight. Thanks for mentioning this one which i havent expected for it to happen. Recovery would vary but in 6 months time or onwards will definitely a sufficient time to heal up
and this one is a good thing for Wilder team because going for a fight with have no condition or do have injury would really have that anticipated outcome.

Im not already surprised that they would delayed out this match and just like anybody else where everything had been postponed due to this covid but its actually an ample
time to rest and at the same time to continue to condition their bodies.

Based on the recent fight, even though both parties are now in good shape, I'm still going to go to Fury.
If Wilder could come up with an excuse for his performance in the second fight and blaming everything on his heavy clothes he was wearing to the ring, you can expect him to come up with excuses if he looses again. Every fighter who looses for the first time will try to find a reason for the loss and if he is still in that mindset then he is not going to change much in the next fight.

the recent fight was just 2 months ago, a fighter takes a lot of time to recover himself and reach max potential especially to gain strength for the upcoming fight.
Most fighters take 4 months to recover completely and if the injury is serious then it might take 6 months unless he blew up his knee or something then it might take longer.

Wilder did not look dangerous even once with that right hand in the second fight but I concede it is an asset which could be used to help put the odds in his favour if he ends up unleashing on a lesser opponent but I just cannot see him beating Fury.

Now talk is going on about Fury vs Joshua unification fight with the promoters allegedly offering Wilder money to step aside so it can go ahead. Things are changing fast even under the coronavirus climate.

Fury's strategy might not work against Joshua, but I think let's give Wilder his chance, after this if Fury still proves to be the better fighter, then Fury vs Joshua would be a great fight to watch. TBH, I don't think Joshua is a good fighter, I think Wilder could even beat him.

In the second fight Fury did not give any opportunity for Wilder to free his hands and Fury was attacking till the fight was called off by his corner, if Fury prepares like he used to and never goes back to his old habits then there is no way Wilder is beating him, the reason i say about the psychological issue is that the pandemic will have a mark on majority of the people and i wish he does not go into depression like he once did.

Now talk is going on about Fury vs Joshua unification fight with the promoters allegedly offering Wilder money to step aside so it can go ahead. Things are changing fast even under the coronavirus climate.
I was expecting Fury vs Joshua next but Wilder wanted his trilogy which is pushing the next biggest fight in boxing everyone is anticipating.

Fury is an intelligent boxer, he has the ability to adapt to the situation which is evident from the recent fight against Wilder as he took completely different strategy in both the fights.

It must entail a lot of money for Wilder and Pulev to step aside and give way to let the Britons fight each other huh.IMHO, the way i see on his last fight against Ruiz, Joshua's confidence is still not there and making this fight with Fury is not a good idea at the moment. That would be history though but letting a less than 100% Joshua in a history fight is just like depriving boxing fanatics the maximum fun that a boxing fight could give us.

But this all depend on how the greedy promoters negotiate, if they think the Fury vs Joshua would generate huge revenue i think they would push for it.

It is a possibility that we could see Fury and Joshua fighting with the international travel restrictions and the uncertainty about when everything will be sorted it is a high possibility that  the fight would happen before the Wilder trilogy, Kubrat Pulev accepted the offer that he would step aside if he gets a good payment and if Wilder accepts that then we will see another one of the biggest fights in boxing.

As per this article: https://www.boxingscene.com/fury-promoter-convo-wilder-step-aside-never-taken-place--148638, someone offered them, but it doesn't mean that the fight will happen in Britain, let me quote:

Quote
"That’s where we are at the moment. There’s been offers made from various countries and organisations to host the fight between Tyson and Anthony Joshua. One of these countries we signed an NDA [Non-Disclosure Agreement] with, which I can’t go into. When I say me, I mean myself, MTK on the behalf of Top Rank and I know Matchroom signed an NDA as well.

And for this fight to really happen, all the parties should agree to everything though, not just how much step aside money Wilder or Pulev will get. Managers, organisers, TV's everything, so it will take a lot of effort just to shoot down the trilogy and push Fury vs Joshua here.

Quote
Frank Warren, who along with Top Rank is the promoter for WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, agrees with his promotional rival, Eddie Hearn, when it comes to rejecting speculation that negotiations have begun for a fight between Fury and unified champion Anthony Joshua.

So I think the trilogy will still push through, obviously, it is rescheduled later or early next year and then they can sit down with the next best option for Joshua vs Wilder/Fury.

On the contrary, I think Joshua has gain his confidence back after a hard fought win against Andy Ruiz. I think he already conquer his demons already and probably willing to fight Tyson Fury although I will favour Fury because he is very technical, has chin.

But this all depend on how the greedy promoters negotiate, if they think the Fury vs Joshua would generate huge revenue i think they would push for it.

I think promoters have already secure their wallet with the third fight between Fury and Wilder. So they are not going to be interested for an all Briton showdown in my opinion. They will let Fury and Wilder fight first and see the AJ option after that.

However, what is the news update on Deontay Wilder? Will he accept the money offered to step aside? Nevermind Anthony Joshua's opponent. For certain he will take his offer hehehe.

Wilder (pre-defeat to Fury) versus Joshua would have been a fight that would have exposed flaws in Joshua the same way Ruiz did when he beat Joshua. When you say Joshia is not a good fighter I agree in abroad sense but he is a two time heavyweight world champion let us not forget that and it means he is a good fighter but when compared to some of the opponents he has been in the ring with he has been exposed. When compared to Fury and Wilder, he seems inferior as far as boxing technicalities are concerned.

I would have agreed with you that Wilder would have beaten Joshua probably by KO rather than TKO. Right now though, Wilder and his flaws have also been exposed by Fury so he has lost the edge over Joshua in a possible fight.

However, what is the news update on Deontay Wilder? Will he accept the money offered to step aside? Nevermind Anthony Joshua's opponent. For certain he will take his offer hehehe.

There is no update yet but I don't think he will take the money just to step aside, that is so embarrassing, he is a true warrior, he didn't even accept a defeat and he just makes excuses on his heavy suit, so let's expect that Fury vs Wilder 3 will push through.

45 votes in the poll so far
37 vote for Fury
8 votes for Wilder

+1 for Fury

Taking into consideration that in the last fight in the fifth round Tyson Fury knocked Wilder down for the second time and finally won in the seventh round by TKO, as Deontay corner throws in the towel, he is the favorite and no wonder that so many people voted on him.

Is there already an exact date scheduled for this 3rd fight?

No, I guess Wilder was the favorites in fight number 2.

I don't think a schedule will come out soon now that US are still not able to contain covid-19.

There is no news yet, but I would speculate that he won't take the step aside money. Why? he still wanted to proved and gain the respect as the heavyweight champion.

I'm not against AJ vs Tyson Fury, but it would be better if promoters push for the trilogy. There's too much money also on that fight and the burden is on Wilder so I don't see him taking the step aside money to give way to all British fight.

@JollyGood - I agree, Wilder(pre Fury defeat) vs Joshua(pre Ruiz defeat) will be a good one. And I think Wilder will knock out Joshua that time. Well obviously, the negotiations that time fell apart and everyone is pointing fingers as who is to blame.

Right now, it is hard to tell if there will be boxing match this year. Most of them already postponed their matches. I don't think Wilder will also accept the money. It is better to see the 3rd instalment of this match. But seems that we need to wait long time, maybe late next year?
