No one is voting for a draw. If there is no match, then it will come in the draw category ?
It will be better if you put another option to vote for " No Match possible due to covid 19"   Cool

After watching the first two fights no one is thinking that the third fight will go to a draw, the fight will take place and there is no doubt about it, if not what is the other interesting fight in the heavyweight division, the only other interesting fight is Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury but for that to happen Deontay Wilder should be paid heavily and that is not going to happen when there is no live gate.

[..snip..]
The reason may be the Arabs will be paying a good amount to make the fight happen in those countries and hence Bob Arum could jump into that opportunity rather than holding the fight in US or UK without any audience and if only the elite family is allowed to watch the fight and with the PPV revenue they could make a lot of money. How they will handle everything can be seen but i hope we will see the trilogy as planned.

No surprise from Bob Arum and PBC, these two are the biggest promoters right now, so they are going hell bent to really push the fight with the huge revenue involved.

@Darker45 - PPV proceeds might compensate, but we all know how greedy Arum is, he will try to milk this fight as it could be the last and try to make as much money as they could.

Well, its business and making or milking out money in all sorts would be your priority so it isnt really that something new in regards to that matter.
Greed doesnt only apply on Arum alone but in all promoters as well and its just actually a typical thing imho.

PPV would really compensate since we know that venue ticket sales arent possible this time.So thats the way that they can make out some money.
Talking about the fight then its good to know that it would push through this end of the year.

The fight has been postponed, so why is this thread still open?

Also, the poll is completely unnecessary, it's quite clear that Fury has won by an absolute landslide, more votes will achieve nothing.

I suggest locking this thread until the fight is rescheduled.

I also suggest locking this thread there is a tentative date in November but that is still months away if the fight will push through the hype will begin in the month of September, all we can give on this thread are just speculation and updates for people to remember that the fight is a go,
I also participated in a similar poll like this and the results are all the same Fury will win unanimously.

Someone would likely just open another thread about it anyway if this one was locked or talk about it in another boxing thread.

The last fight was $80 so it'll either be the same price or more. If the fight goes ahead behind closed doors I'm sure they'll jack the price up to cover lost gate receipts. $80 is already a lot though. It shouldn't be more than $100. It was £24.95 in the UK.

If they jack the PPV price up to cover the gate receipt then people will watch the event using illegal streams, people are loosing their jobs because of the lockdown and the virus pandemic and no one will be willing to pay the present $80 just to watch the fight live if they can wait till the event gets over and then they can watch the match in youtube if someone uploads or straight up watch through illegal streams.

Even prior to the Covid-19 pandemic, there's a lot of illegal streams already, you just have to go to Facebook and see that someone is streaming it. This is not an ordinary fight, boxing fans are willing to shell out huge money just to watch this trilogy. Bob Arum knows this, so probably they will go on that route and jack the price just to be able to cover the cost, in my opinion.

For bigger fights, it's hard to find an illegal streams online, I've tried that in the first 2 fights of Fury vs Wilder but could not find one.
I think we just have to support them, they will not be getting money from the crowd so their main source of income is mostly coming from the PPV sales.

We will have news about this fight in a few weeks. This is how Arum announced it in that article.
A fight that could happen in the fourth quarter of this year. It has been ruled out to be USA or UK.
Speaking to Boxing Scene, he said: 'We have proposals from entities in two countries that we're considering now.
Which countries?
We will be waiting.

People who are going to use illegal streams will probably do so whether the price of the fight is $10 or $100. The last fight at $80 was probably already the highest PPV cost and people still bought that in insane numbers and if it's $100 people will probably still pay it in similar volumes. I think the hardcore boxing fans will cough up any amount to watch the fight live on the night, but then there are also the many more who will just watch it the morning after on youtube or whatever. Regardless, I'm sure we'll see a $100 price tag at some point for a super-fight. Personally I don't think fights should be anywhere near $80 but I guess they can charge what they want.

It's not that difficult to find, and there are IPTV services that show them that cost about $100 for the year and you get hundreds of channels included. Streams are always hity and miss though and with lag and them cutting out you can miss huge bits of the fight. I've never purchased a fight on PPV, but most of the fights are always on like 2-4 in the morning and it's not really worth staying up for unless it's a huge fight so I tend to just download them in the morning and watch when I want. I have a Dazn account though which costs about $120 a year and they show a lot of fights on there including the Fury/Wilder ones so I stayed up for the last one.

When I was hunting for illegal streams online before, I have to get up early or I have it ready few days prior to the fight go to that website and watch early, those kind of boring pre fights. As we get closer to the main events, the connection became laggy that's why I stop.

And then there's Facebook, I can't remember which fight I watch using that platform, I think it was Donaire vs Inoue, the same experience, a bit lag, you will be cut-off on the middle of the action. But you can search again and continue watching.

But I do agree if you are really a hardcore fans of either Wilder or Fury, definitely getting PPV in the range of $80-$100 is worth it.

We are nearing the game as almost 2 months before the event comes to happen but since this is postponed and adjusted i think we need to wait for at least another months extension .

I voted for Fury as majority since this is a one way game and will surely favor Fury though i know Boxer can have one punch knockout lol.

but of course there is possible option because there is one country that conduct boxing even in the middle of pandemic .

Prior financial situation before pandemic and after are entirely different, people who are having the money will purchase the PPV to view in high definition but not everyone will be having that financial capability right now considering there are more job loss in years. If they jack the price we will have an idea whether that scenario will succeed when the numbers comes out.

I agree with the part that people use rely on illegal streams will always go on that route but with job and business loss people will be smart on how they spent their money, hardcore fans will share the funds and watch as a group if they jack the price and they might not get the expected returns. If everyone is financially sound and we never had this pandemic then people will be willing to spend any money to watch their favorite sport.

I'm talking about illegal streamings, so my argument is that regardless of pandemic or not, there are people going to look for streamings, from IPTV to Facebook. Of course, we can only speculate if they succeed or not or if the numbers goes down because of the pandemic effect.

But come to think of it, people are bored right now, and online gambling is growing. So there might be some reasoning that people are going to buy and watch it regardless of the price. And this fight is really interesting and maybe Arum and co are banking on this reasoning.

Fury did an interview with Sky Sports on on the 22nd and in it he was asked about future fights, and in it he alluded that if he loses he'll be fighting Wilder again before anyone else and could keep going on and on, so it looks like he will have the rematch clause: https://youtu.be/MgGgUFRy5N4?t=212

If he does lose and they have a rematch they should just sign a deal that it's the last fight with no rematches as it could get ridiculous. I don't think they should go past a trilogy but I guess if Fury does lose then he will want the rematch.

A lot of people will already watch them in groups. Makes sense to really. $80 is a rip-off, but get 5 friends round and split the cost and make a night of it.

I would agree with this, though it would still sell to the people as these two are really a good match up but promoters should give other players a chance to gain the popularity, if Wilder will win in the coming fight, that would be good as he will be able to claim his ring again, but we know Fury is not gonna give him an easy win so even if he wins in the coming fight, he needs to prove again in the next fight which he has a lot to lose compared to Fury.

Let's give a chance for Wilder vs AJ or Fury vs AJ. either of the two fights is gonna be an exciting fight.
