These are all technical things that bounty hunters must know so that their hard work does not end in vain. A little extra advice from me: avoid bounty managers who work less well, for example not careful in checking campaign articles, plagiarism or not all of them get the same points, it's frustrating.

Unfortunately, despite being warned, regarding various matters as described by the OP, some bounty hunters do not care about that. They only focus on joining many bounty campaigns without regard to quality, it's tiring, right? better to follow a little campaign but quality than just rely on luck. The season has changed, do not expect too high as in 2017, fraud is increasing now, and market conditions are different, so we must be able to adjust.

If you see garbage posts (off-topic, trolling, spam, no point, etc.), use the "report to moderator" links. All reports are investigated, though you will rarely be contacted about your reports.

Thats why I perform only tasks and bounty campaigns where I see a real potential of the coin, in most cases these coins are already listed on reputable exchanges, so I can easily calculate my future earnings and compare it with my efforts.  Smiley

You can normally tell these by looking at whether they have investments already, e.g. from large venture funds or investment pools. These platforms usually have stringent requirements and tend to avoid the projects that are destined for failure.

This is surely a good point that you have pointed at for bounty to join because they already have a project or business being managed before venturing into cryptocurrency either because they want to have there own coin trading and buying there product. I know of such projects but won't mention the coin (I'm not paid an advert fee  Grin). Seriously, even when such project have difficulty in finance, they fall back to mother project. Most times they also have very experienced team as we already know you can't buy experience from the mall.

Thanks anyways for meriting my post.
Good points here though but still it would be useless if the others can't see this.

Bounty hunters don't necessarily have what it takes to fish out scam projects, they only become obvious if at the end they refuse to pay hunters for their work.

But you know what, most shitty bounty hunters don't even have the patience to read your post or mine or even research about the project they are promoting. They are just more focused on liking/sharing tweets/FB posts etc and posting their work details in the bounty threads.
That attitude must be avoided. It is better for bounty hunters to understand the projects they are supporting so that they can maximize their promotion. If only money-oriented, they would be disappointed and always in a hurry to get a reward and listing exchange for immediate sale. Even though a good project cannot be done instantly, we must follow the stages through the roadmap properly, following its development so we can get the right timing.

But what the OP listed are already red flags that you can check and look for. Though there were good projects that I encountered before that they haven't paid their bounty participants maybe because their project was not pushed thru. You can't really say what the fate of a good project will be even if you did your research. But what the OP suggested is a good start to achieve the decline of scam projects launched in the forum.

*Firstly, I think the title should be "The signs of scam bounties". Why? It is because of the main point that you review on your thread is about the "signs".

I agree if we must be careful with the bounties which have one or some of the signs above. We have already had various scam projects and experienced many worthless bounties. It is a warning to be more selective and ignore all bounties indicated scam or potentially to fail. We are better to not join because participating means we also support/promote scam or potentially failed projects.

I've read or tried to help build so many such lists I started get sick of them, really. Nobody seems to read them.
Becauss people always take such topics for granted believing that they won't be a victim, not a chance. And then would go back here, would look for some sympathy, will blame the project as if they don't deserve to be a victim in the first place when they entered/participated on their own discretion. Well reality sucks but it is what it is. Either way there are still people who found such topics a big help for their journey, I certainly believe so.

Maybe somebody could try to maintain a nicely formatted topic with the "good" bounties.
But at start it will need a lot of work.
I think there is someone who created a thread that tackles about a good bounties. He/She even had a telegram channel announcing bounties. So if you have time may be you could take a look up on his/her work.

Bounty hunters should also be aware on the result will happen; not only they will not get paid or the project will get a free advertisement. But also the privacy of bounty hunters, like for example those bounty campaigns that asking email address of every bounty hunters because it could lead to email addresses farming and they will able to use it or sell it.

These are all good points to observe when you are evaluating whether or not a projects bounty campaign is worthwhile participating in and besides this you can also check that it has a real world use case and a strategy to achieve adoption else it won't have much longevity

10. When complaints on telegram isn't responded to promptly and you are not satisfied when you get response.

I have joined some bounty in the past and the result went well but by the time they about to distribute the rewards, they implement some rules and they do the KYC check. back then, I don't have some documents to prove my identity, so, I didn't get the rewards. After a year they plan to distribute again, this time I can finally get my rewards because I have the thing that they asked for. but these guys are just some silly scammers, after the distribution date there wasn't any news or update if they distribute it or not. I went to their telegram group and try to ask about it, my surprise that they block me on their telegram group and that's the time that I know that I cannot have those rewards anymore.

In order to identify whether a project is scam or not, I looked first at their team. It sounds funny but I sometimes find a picture of an actor used with a different name. But ofcourse it is not always about the team. By that, I stick to my plan B where I applied to bounties that paid BTC weekly. At least I can guarantee myself it is not scam.

your statement is right, but sometimes bounty manager is busy thats why they cannot update the spreadsheet. Also few project don't hire bounty managers and lately they update stakes. Also we should do that bounty which is managed by the well reputed bounty managers.Because now days shit bounty managers is the main reason for scam bounty. Now I am trying to join only reputed managers bounty.

I prefer to post this here on this section because this is where it actually originates from. This is where the bounty scammers come to catch their "prey"- hunters.

Therefore, I have observed that since 2018, after the 2017 crypto bull , almost all bounty have been failing. After months of running bounty, some that manage to get to the exchange are dead on arrival with less than a dollar worth of 20,000 unit (or more unit) of shit distribution to hunters.

Consequently , with my little time here and as far as I have noticed, their are certain signs that seem like a no go area if we really want to participate in a fairly good bounty that we can also benefit from our labour, time and data.

These signs for me are :
1. When the thread is filled with grammatical and typographical errors.

2. When the task in the different or any of the allocated bounties are not defined. For example, how many facebook shares / posts are not defined and then you are left with asking from the shit BM. This is definitely and certainly a red light.

3. When the task is limitless. For example, no limit to shares/post.

4. When the task is too much. For example, 10 shares  Grin

5. When the requirements to get your reward is complicated. For example, you can be asked to sign up and provide referral number or code  Grin

6. When the process for reward isn't proper. For example, you notice you will be asked to watch a video to know how to provide wallet address or downlines  Shocked Roll Eyes Grin

7. When spreadsheet isn't updated weekly.... Just run  Grin

8. When weekly dates are not seen either on the thread or spreadsheet.

9. When you see only week 1 , week 2, week 3 etc just on spreadsheet without date.

10. When complaints on telegram isn't responded to promptly and you are not satisfied when you get response.

11. You don't need to continue if you notice you have been deleted from telegram and you know you have been asking legitimate questions to understand things not clear to you about the bounty.... Run run fast  Grin

12. When it is not handled by a reputable account as BM.

13. When there is no ANN at the beginning or it is provided later in the bounty maybe because someone is consistently requesting for it.

These are some signs I can remember and I know they are negative signs for you not to be paid after you do your part most times.

*** These signs are ; apart from whitepaper typographical mistakes and plagiarism  Grin Grin Grin

If we go with these signs and not sign up with a bounty you suspect could be scam, then the bounty will have less participants and with time, we can clear these scamming bounties out from this forum.

Each one tell all. You don't need to join suspected scam bounty.

I hope this thread will help bounty hunters.

These signs are very helpful for the newbies so they can avoid those shit projects as most of the victims of shit projects or scammers are the newbies in crypto industry who are very hungry for a free money. They will join as many bounty as possible because they are thinking that even one good bounty that will pay is enough as long as they can earn a free money.

I didn't see any seasoned member here that supports a random bounty campaigns but with regards to newbies, they are almost everywhere as long as they are welcome to the bounty campaign. So instead of giving them the signs it will be best if we can guide them or restrict their behavior especially if they are bombarding the forum with bounty applications.

As bounty participants, we must make sure that we already check the project before joining and others bounty participants are not doing this. They just want to join every campaign without checking and analyzing the project. If we join scams campaigns, and we didn't received the payouts, its also our fault because we didn't check it. I always check their website, the team behind the project and their reviews. Sometimes if scams project don't show their true identity, and they used other images and information. I think its prefer to join in the most trusted bounty managers today rather than new accounts that just created.

they can only refuse to pay hunter at the end of the camapaign. you  will never know if they pay you or nott if the campaign still running .

Reviewing a project is the most important thing you can do before participating. Even youdo it doesn't mean it will pay you it will only reduce the risk to participate in scams bounties.

I stopped participating in bounty campaigns for more than a year now. I honestly think they are just a waste of my time as most often the project is a copy-cat of another existing project who is in the market nowadays or still struggling to get into the market for trading. Sorry but it seems that to me most ICOs turn to scam after getting an investment from their investors. Please don't blame it on me, it is just that it is the effect of the past ICOs and their bounty campaign project not doing the right thing, scamming people.

About #6 point it's not the bounty manager's fault because some bounty hunters are so stupid that they can't set up a wallet themselves, telling people to watch video about how to create a wallet is not bad, not every one is a tech savvy

You can't expect new bounty managers to be perfect on their first paroles, they will definitely make some mistakes and in time they will learn, i corrected few myself and they listened, what matters is the project, the biggest money I earned in bounties is from a low rated project and also a new bounty manager

Even everything above is followed correctly, still there's no guarantee that project will be good. However, if someone does enough research it's possible to avoid scam project. I am really bored on bounty and given up participating too.

This is true. Sometimes, even scam projects comply with the given requirements so it's hard to determine whether a certain project is a scam or not in just a short span of time. In some cases, it takes time before you consider a project a scam. If you're not comfortable or if you're doubting about it, it's better to look for a legit project so you'll never have regrets in the future. Things will always depend on our decisions so we have to be skeptical.
