I have experienced that no matter how much time and analyses you put into a new project to be satisfied with all its aspects still you can get scammed, so you never know what is on the mind of the people behind a project. Prime examples are Athero and Envion that were massive projects but they scammed or failed and bounty hunters got absolutely nothing not even distribution.

It's like a box of chocolate you never know what you are going to get, bounty hunting is like a guessing game a lot of my friends stopped doing bounty campaign one of my friends have done over a year of bounty hunting and over 80% are scams or did not send payment.
i dont thing its like chocolate box, bounty campaign need analisys so we could just join and do the task. if our style in working bounty campaign like this i am sure only shit project we will find. and its true your friend retired for a year from bounty campaign. if we do proper analisys  i am sure we will find good campaign.

No matter how many analyzes you do, you will not be able to know their exact future status. Many projects are rated well in the first phase but after completing the ICO they either disappear or go silent. So participating in bounty is a job that requires your luck
Bounties do not depend entirely on luck and proper analysis has proven that you can join a good bounty. It cannot be denied, that the value of the coin is below average and don't be sad to sell it immediately because it is likely that the value of the coin will drop drastically.
Luck should be preferable to us, your research is perfect but the best projects stopped for users. DIA is a very good project but just a matter of time I missed it. The last two years was the best time for an early seller but now is the perfect time to hold. For the last two years every single coin dumped even the top volume listed coins.

Yeah.. this is the reason why I stopped doing bounties two years ago. It is distressing to see so many new and inexperienced users getting scammed in the name of bounty. As of now, I would encourage users to enroll to the bounties, only if they are done by tokens or coins that are already listed in the exchanges (such campaigns are very few, but you can find them if you search the bounties section).

Instead of finding ways to stop scam bounty projects why can't you learn to avoid them? It's not a must to join all bounty projects that are available, note that 90% of them are bad because we have scammers or advantage takers here in crypto space, project real projects only and stop taking risks with not too sure projects

I would suggest that if you want to avoid joining several scam bounty try to have a research first of the project/bounty that you are joining so that you have the confident to either join or not to join those bounty campaign. Just read the reviews and do your research so that it will not waste your time and effort and you will gain the rightful rewards.

I think bounty scams have always existed until now very hard to stop him, the best way is our way must be properly examined as a whole so that we avoid the bounty scam and of course can get profit from our work

After 2017, it has just increased only and reason is everyone wants fast and easy money. So though to pick this as an opporunity and try to scam people who ever fals in trap is better fr them and will make some money qucikly and go away.

That is indeed true. Scammers are more motivated now than they did before.
That is why researching is really necessary, I agree that reading reviews will save time.
Experience of other people are one of the insightful material we could depend on.

I felt bad when my friend joined a bounty called NODEToken and joined a signature campaign. It was good pay for the person like 100,000 tokens. But things started to turn ugly when the Telegram group of the said campaign said that the bounty hunters will need to wait until the selling of token is over before it will be put into an exchange. They waited 2 years with very few updates from the said campaign. When he followed up, the so called group managers said that the project failed and they are starting anew. So much for these fake companies.

It will still be a scam at the end of the road if it is planned by new projects, I did research a lot of new projects and they were well rated. But in the end the price collapsed or was never listed on exchanges. You should better opt for the bounty listed at the exchange

I prefer to post this here on this section because this is where it actually originates from. This is where the bounty scammers come to catch their "prey"- hunters.

Therefore, I have observed that since 2018, after the 2017 crypto bull , almost all bounty have been failing. After months of running bounty, some that manage to get to the exchange are dead on arrival with less than a dollar worth of 20,000 unit (or more unit) of shit distribution to hunters.

Consequently , with my little time here and as far as I have noticed, their are certain signs that seem like a no go area if we really want to participate in a fairly good bounty that we can also benefit from our labour, time and data.

These signs for me are :
1. When the thread is filled with grammatical and typographical errors.

2. When the task in the different or any of the allocated bounties are not defined. For example, how many facebook shares / posts are not defined and then you are left with asking from the shit BM. This is definitely and certainly a red light.

3. When the task is limitless. For example, no limit to shares/post.

4. When the task is too much. For example, 10 shares  Grin

5. When the requirements to get your reward is complicated. For example, you can be asked to sign up and provide referral number or code  Grin

6. When the process for reward isn't proper. For example, you notice you will be asked to watch a video to know how to provide wallet address or downlines  Shocked Roll Eyes Grin

7. When spreadsheet isn't updated weekly.... Just run  Grin

8. When weekly dates are not seen either on the thread or spreadsheet.

9. When you see only week 1 , week 2, week 3 etc just on spreadsheet without date.

10. When complaints on telegram isn't responded to promptly and you are not satisfied when you get response.

11. You don't need to continue if you notice you have been deleted from telegram and you know you have been asking legitimate questions to understand things not clear to you about the bounty.... Run run fast  Grin

12. When it is not handled by a reputable account as BM.

13. When there is no ANN at the beginning or it is provided later in the bounty maybe because someone is consistently requesting for it.

These are some signs I can remember and I know they are negative signs for you not to be paid after you do your part most times.

*** These signs are ; apart from whitepaper typographical mistakes and plagiarism  Grin Grin Grin

If we go with these signs and not sign up with a bounty you suspect could be scam, then the bounty will have less participants and with time, we can clear these scamming bounties out from this forum.

Each one tell all. You don't need to join suspected scam bounty.

I hope this thread will help bounty hunters.

I think most of the new projects now don't run bounty on this forum and we find a lot of scam bounties in the forum but with a new bull market started by defi we may see some genuine bounties , yes we have to be very careful as most of the bounties are just fake.

Can we have community vetted bounty by a having the thread which rate the bounties and try to find if it's scam or genuine, this way forum members will get benefit.

Its better if we join to some campaigns that have already listed in the exchange, they are legitimate and have already a value in the market. The ANN thread and legit BM are the good indication that you the project can be successful in the future. There are projects that have good run over the IEO but after a few months or years they been ruin and end up being shutdown. We should always update what the project going on so that we know that where we gonna exit.

The situation with bounty hunters is generally unusual, since by participating in bounty companies we very often support scammers who either deceive investors or deceive the bounty hunters themselves, such as Jindi or HiveNet, which continue to develop, but the reward for the work done by the hunters for the bounty was never paid. Although today all Hunters are more attentive and already have certain knowledge, which suggests that the deception is due to a non-professional and weak team of the new project.

Being listed in exchanges don't give you any guarantee of a project going to be successful there ate numerous projects that had been listed in exchanges while running bounty Campaigns but still ended up as scam one of the most recent example is YAM project. It was one of those projects that came out from nowhere and reached it peak, but eventually scam exit after getting money from investors.

We can do research thoroughly, but it still doesn't give us a 100% guarantee that we will receive rewards at the end of the campaign. Some projects start to be cunning and change the rules even after the end of the bounty, in order to reduce the number of participants and payments in this way.

Exactly, but a good exchange also play a vital role to make a project successful. that's why every investor expect a reputed exchange after token sell, projects which are able to list their coin on a reputed exchange are less possibility going on scam. To avoid scam project, before joining a bounty you should know the people who are behind on that project, it is safer to join a bounty which already has been listed on an exchange.

You actually make some good points, I also disagree with some of your points. There are some managers that do not update spreadsheet every week and yet they deliver on their promises of rewards. There have been times where we have inexperience bounty manager for a campaign which will be the reason for some flaws in the bounty thread but rewards was good.
The performance of a manager is seen in updating the spreadsheet table every week as well as in how to serve all questions from bounty participants, whether the bounty case is good or not, I think it depends on the project team's performance not on the performance of a manager, because between the team and the manager their duties are different.
But some reputed members escrow the tokens for bounty hunters. Like Julerz, Murat. I saw many bounties that julerz holding the tokens. A few days ago saw that Ledu project scammed Murat & they didn't pay him. Murat stopped the bounty campaign and sent the LEDU tokens that he was holding for bounty hunters, even he paid the GAS fees. Actually, if you join reputed managers bounty there is 90% hope that you will not get scammed.

Very well presented the points to consider if any bounty is scam or not. I think this will benefit not only to newbie members, but to everyone.
Nowadays I am preferring only reputed bounty managers like bubbalex, Ulum and bounty detective.

Murat is very much in charge of the campaigns he manages even though he has experienced scams from the damn project. Usually, the manager avoids paying the bounty because he too has been cheated.

i can agree with some of the points, but there are something that even reputable bounty managers also do such as they sometimes did not update the spreadsheet regularly, it is because they are busy or have something in real life to do. they could delay that by 2 weeks or even more, i can understand why do that as long as they calculate it correctly
